The worst experience in Italy. The staff in the photo is super rude and racist. He treats customers differently according to their races. He intentionally ignored and even made fun of me. The most importantly, the coffee is not even average. Don't waste your time lining up. Would NOT recommend to others.

We came here for coffee after seeing the great reviews. We ignored the eye-watering prices and ordered an espresso and the Frappe, thinking we would get an amazing coffee and experience. Unfortunately, what we received was the worst "espresso" and "frappe" we've had. The frappe was a glass of foamed watery coffee with a dribble of bitter espresso at the bottom. I could only manage two sips. The espresso had a weird flavourless foam not like a crema, more like it had been blended to create a foam or had a foam scooped on top and for €4.50 i would expect it to be the best espresso of my life. If you enjoy good coffee, avoid this cafe. Staff were pretty friendly though. Absolute tourist trap.

Great place to start your day in Rome! Pro Tip - it is very hectic when you walk In but don’t miss out on the great spot. So make sure to order at the cashier first and then go to the bar to pick up your order! Service is quick and worth the wait. Make sure to get a filled croissant!

We had breakfast there. Yes, I came because it’s name. It’s located very close to Pantheon, but still not easy to find, otherwise it would be busier. Nice environment and good service, foods are very decent. At least for its name, you should have coffee there.

nice cappuccino. You can decide to sit outside and pay 5 euros or do it like a local and have it inside and pay a lower price (3 euros?). Either way we decided to sit outside to watch people and it was a nice feeling. There are some souvenirs to pick up in the shop if you are into that thing.

This is a wonderful place to visit while walking around the city center of Rome. It is close to several tourist attractions and the Piazza Navona. There you can experience a place that has history connected to coffee and the city while taste good food. Obviously, the store space is small and usually the line is outside but just a little of patience will be worth it. Also, to be quicker and hep out a little the salespeople there, having in mind what you want to have and saying it quickly would be nice. By the way, if you do not ask for a drink or a coffee whiteout sugar, the standard is to always add it.

We had high expectations because our tour guide said this was a famous and well established place in Rome. To our disappointment we had to stand near the bar to get our coffee in the crowd, this is because otherwise the coffee costs about TWICE as much so be aware of that. Then we got our coffees which was very small for the price (around 3-4€) and tasted strange, bad to be honest. I can't recommend this place despite the hype.

Larger Italian cafe, don’t fall for sitting outside as you will pay double the price. Go in, order, and drink your coffee at the bar. One of the better cafe’s in Rome. Yes, it costs money, but it is worth it. The coffee is delicious & flavorful. Worth a quick stop while near the Pantheon. Staff is helpful, attentive and pleasant.

The most amazing canoli I have ever had. Amazing crème inside. Both pistachio and lemon were amazing. Freddie capuchino also very good. Packed with coffee treats. Outdoor seating only available

This place is your typical Italian coffee bar. You can decide to sit down, stand up or have it to takeaway. Everyone was super polite. The coffee was strong and sweet and the overall location was hidden away from the busy streets so it was quite relaxing!

I don't like coffee ☕ But this place is paradise of coffee. Thanks to the great advises and service of Juan Carlos, I fell in love with the Granita (I passed 3 times during 4 days in Rome). All the rest of coffees are great. I talked with the owner and understood his coffee contains low percentage of caffeine (which is an important factor to recognize high quality coffee) and great coffee is not supposed to be very bitter (reason usually I don't like it) They deliver to prestigious places all over the world btw... Try and thank me later 😁 I add some shots and coffee menu

Best coffee I’ve ever had, very cute little coffee place near Pantheon. I’ve tried couple of their different coffees and all were great, you should not miss it in your trip to Rome

When we went here, we tried three of their coffees; the "Romeo and Juliet", the frappuccino, and the tiramisu. The "Romeo and Juliet" tasted the best, the coffee flavor was round nicly by the chocolate. Our nex favorite was frappuccino, and then the tiramisu. (Just as an FYI, they will charge you extra if you are planing in sit down in their outside area, if not then you can walk up get your coffee and drink it at the counter then leave)

Love this place, they do excellent coffee, and in so many forms as well, from both the classic latte to the more interesting mousse or granita textures, which you can only really find in Rome. Went back here twice because it was that good, it does get hard to get a table after about 10am, and it’s all outdoor seating too with minimal shade.

I studied abroad in Rome 10 years ago, and this was THE cappuccino to be had; the coffee quality was amazing and delicious. Returning to Rome on vacation now 10 years later, I was so excited to visit again, but it seemed to me that the coffee wasn’t the same this time. The size of the “gran cappuccino” looked smaller to me, the price higher, and the coffee actually didn’t taste like anything too extraordinary. It definitely wasn’t bad, but it didn’t taste special for the price you’re paying. Truthfully, I’d had better cappuccinos just at a small local coffee bar instead. This might be becoming a little too touristy to be authentic.

I was lucky to find a seat. Very busy place. Got one of the special coffees and two other pastries i don’t recall the names. The special coffee ( monechllo? ) was more of a chocolate. I bought cappuccino to go but was mainly milk. I bought their coffee and will taste it at home 🙌🏻

Visiting an artisan Roman café was one of our priorities, and we couldn't have made a better decision than going to Saint' Eustachio after visiting the Pantheon. Its one of the most historical and popular cafés in the Eternal city. This place is very cosy and with very friendly staff. There is a plethora of options to order including not only drinks but also sweets. The coffee was amazing. So good that we couldn't resist buying some of their Nespresso pods to bring back to Greece with us. Highly recommend.

Possibly the best espresso in Rome! Had to order a second one immediately after finishing my first. Love also that they sell beans & coffee pods which I bought as gifts for the folks at home. Also got a souvenir mug.

Touristy spot! But so worth the coffee and the millefoglie, of course the pistachio! Just a rip if you wanting a table you will need to be served by waiter. Friendly service as well.

One o the best coffee that you can find in Rome! The staff can be better but coffee is the best. If you seat outside you pay much much more! Take it inside like Italian.

Very famous coffee shop right near to the Pantheon. Prices are different when you sit outside, takeaway, or standing inside. Tried three different coffees and for my taste, Americano was the best one in this shop.

Best espresso in Rome. Must make a stop at this Coffee place. Don’t stay at the table, try it traditional inside at the counter. Don’t forget to ask for the glass of water before you drink the coffee

Stopped by to get a cappuccino and croissant. The cappuccino was really really good (maybe the best I've had) and the croissant was pretty good. Nice atmosphere even though it was crowded. They are very efficient in getting you in and out. Highly recommend!

Expect to wait when this place gets busy. It's definitely worth the wait when it comes to cappuccino and pastries. Their coffee is so good, we bought several bags for friends and family. Took the bags immediately to DHL to ship back home.

I love this place. Fantastic coffee, great location a minutes walk from the Pantheon. We had coffee on the way and back from the great sights of Rome. All around the Pantheon is a good place to chill. Pride, service and character are the hallmarks of the Santa Eustachio Caffe.

Looking for a good espresso in Rome? Look no further than this small, cozy coffee shop. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air as you step inside, and you'll immediately feel the warmth and charm of the place. The baristas are friendly and efficient, and they'll whip up your espresso in no time. The coffee itself is rich and flavorful, and it's the perfect way to start your day or to enjoy a break from sightseeing.

Amazing coffee spot, the guy in the service was a marvel to behold. So fast yet so friendly, this place is very busy during rush hours. But the coffee and sweets make it worthwhile.

The coffee, once it came, was good. We ordered 4 items, came at 3 different times, and the extra coffee I ordered never came. They speak English and all, and are very sweet, but somehow they just failed

Very busy cafe with good merchandise to bring home. Their coffee is so so! It is not as bold and flavorful. It is a good place to chill and people watching.

Came here for morning coffee, since I’m not a coffee drinker I ordered the least coffee looking thing. It turned out to be like latte mouse with whipped cream it was great. When ordering we mentioned we want to eat at the table and after sitting down were told the sit down tables are 5€ extra. We moved to a standing table and finished our coffee there. The pistachio croissant was insanely good and fresh 🥐

Great coffee, HOT CHOCOLATE TO DIE FOR, delicious sweets. Loved this place and I miss Rome even more because of Sant Eustachio. Im glad I filled my snacks drawer with goodies I got with me from their shop. Its like I got a little piece of Rome back home with me.

if you want a good coffee near the Pantheon, this is the place to visit. Many options to choose from, either take away or to have at the place (for a small extra service charge). the coffee is great, and you can also buy products. the only drawback is the size of the place, but it's not a big issue. highly recommended 👍

  • 3/5 TG 1 year ago on Google
If you sit, the coffee is quite overpriced. The bakery/desserts were too sweet compared to the other ones I tried in Rome.

  • 5/5 Abdulla J. 5 months ago on Google
My favorite coffee in Rome. The gran caffe has an insane amount of crema. Not sure how they do it. They must be frothing the espresso lol. It’s very close to the Pantheon, but the place is usually not as busy. I recommend you try some of the sweets, like the pistachio millefoglie and pistachio cannoli.

For sitting outside you can wait long time to be seated. And the price is outside double (4.5€ espresso, 6€ americano )! It’s a roastery and they have a lot of desserts and roasted coffee.

Sant'Eustachio Il Caffè is one of the oldest and most famous coffee shops in Rome, Italy. Established in 1938, it has a rich history and is renowned for its traditional coffee-making techniques. One unique feature of Sant'Eustachio Il Caffè is its special coffee blend. The recipe has been a closely guarded secret for decades, with only a select few people knowing the precise combination of coffee beans and roasting methods used. This signature blend is said to create a smooth, rich, and flavorful cup of coffee that keeps customers coming back for more. Another interesting aspect of this café is its coffee roasting process. Sant'Eustachio Il Caffè still uses a traditional wood-burning roaster, which is a rarity in today's modern coffee industry. This method imparts a distinct smoky aroma and flavor to the coffee, contributing to its unique character.

The espresso is amazingly good. Very different from the espresso at Starbucks, but in a good way. The pastries are good, but too sweet for my taste. The people are nice, speak English, and the environment is als really cool. It is really popular, so it is really crowded after 9am. I stayed closed by, so I typically visit before 8am, which was very empty and quiet.

  • 4/5 Lewis A. 8 months ago on Google
Tried a coffee here and it was very average. I also had their tiramisu and it was slightly better but really nothing to write home about. The set up is nice and caters for tourists very well so it has its market and delivers. If you’re after really good coffee you’ll have to go elsewhere.

  • 5/5 Marian S. 11 months ago on Google
Perfect coffee in the Rome city center. If you're looking for the best Italian coffee, don't hesitate to visitis this place. As usual in Italy, there is different price if you'll sit there, but price is still very good. Only disadvantage is a lot of People there.

Charming spot with a lovely location serving perfectly fine pastry items which were good, not outstanding. I would think twice before a second trip. Pretty good, not brilliant.

This is an extremely popular place it was crazy crowded when I went there, you pay at the cashier and then push you way through the bar area to prepare your order. I tried the black coffee it was good but nothing out of the ordinary, I also saw them preparing some other interesting types of coffee drinks with cream toppings. I was surprised by their pasteries they were super delicious better than the coffee especially the lemon millefeuille. They also have table services outside for double the prices.

  • 4/5 Rubén Pérez E. 8 months ago on Google
Be careful with the terrace pricing. Double price: 6,50€ a espresso. If you want to pay by card, you must queue. Great coffee, in any case.

  • 5/5 Paul La V. 8 months ago on Google
I am told that this café has the best coffee in all of Rome. From our groups experience so far it seems that that may just be true.

  • 5/5 Dimitris T. 10 months ago on Google
Vibes with coffee history. Of course one of the best all day cafe-pastry in Rome. We've been reading so many posts about it and we decided to have a break there. Very good coffee, pastry - Cannoli / Crostata - fast service, prices ok. It's seems very popular among locals according to long line for takeaways. Also you can buy everything for espresso.

  • 5/5 Gino H. 10 months ago on Google
If you're a coffee enthusiast or simply appreciate a good cup of espresso, I highly recommend paying a visit to Sant' Eustachio Il Caffè. Their commitment to quality beans and expert craftsmanship make it a destination worth seeking out. Whether you choose to enjoy your coffee on-site or take some beans home, you won't be disappointed.I left with a bag of their signature blend, excited to recreate the wonderful coffee experience in the comfort of my own home.
