RUDE TO ASIANS. Gelato here is incredible with so many flavours to choose from! It’s a gelato heaven from fruit, chocolate and my favourite hazelnut flavours. Be prepared for a little queue but it’s well worth the time. Staff are not friendly. The lady cashier in particular, was outright rude. She was snobbish in her reply to our order, and even threw our credit card back on the table once she scanned it. This left a sour taste in the whole experience. Taste : 5/5 Service: 1/5

Really good ice cream. I tried the dark chocolate, pistachio, and rice. The dark chocolate was bitter but good contrast to a sweet ice cream. The pistachio was ok, nothing stellar. The rice was not very sweet and tasted good. Whip cream topping is a must! Service is very quick and smooth for such a long line we only waited about 10 minutes.

By far the best ice cream in rome and the best i have ever had. A very large selection of flavors that are delicious. I definitely recommend the pistachio ice cream. A big plus that you can mix several flavors. In addition, whipped cream for ice cream is free. A must eat when visiting Rome.

One of the best ice cream I had in my life. Price was 3 euros for a small one (2 flavours). But as you can see in the picture this was still a large ice cream in my opinion!

Delicious ice cream, plenty of flavours to choose from. Top quality dessert. Coffee is excellent. And the place looks and feels premium. The ordering procedure is quite confusing though. I prefer to order first then pay afterwards, not in advance at a different stand while I'm still not sure of what exactly I will want. Very little space to eat just outside, not convenient, amd the ice cream starts dripping very quickly. Great taste, but not very enjoyable eating experience.

An establishment worth visiting. My personal favourite gelato in Rome. The flavour assortments and building alone is worth the visit. Pistachio, rice and dark chocolate here are excellent. I think coming here in the morning is even better quality and you can get taste testers as it’s quiet. Get the fresh cream!!

Good ice cream at good price. If you want to seat inside the price is a bit expensive, but it is worth it considering the historical place and service. The flavours are not the best I have tried but are in the top. They should improve the table service information, each 2 minutes the waiter had to explain that you can’t sit in the table with an ice cream from the interior, you have to order once you’re in the table. A bit annoying to hear the discussion once and again next to you while enjoying the ice cream. The waiters was a 10. Perfect service.

World best gelato! Line can be long but goes by fast. That being said, you do feel rushed and the people can be a bit rude but it’s about the gelato. And in and out in 10 minutes or less. How many times did I go back… yes.

We ate a very delicious ice cream, I can't say anything about its taste, but I still think it's a bit exaggerated. I think the whipped cream on top is heavy and unnecessary, some people say that the cream helps the dessert to have lighter taste. I had to throw it away while eating. The employees are friendly, there is a long queue at the door, but you don't have to wait long. You can try it once while you're there :) Favorite taste CHOCOLATE 👌🏻

I was told that Giolitti had the best gelato in the world. And that was true. The atmosphere was great in the shop. Elegant vantage decorations made it perfectly harmonised with Rome city. Friendly staff and fresh ingredients kept the shop well known by the locals and travellers. Pistachio and walnut balls were recommended by the staff and tasted great. The other flavours worth a try too. Recommend.

I was attracted by the glowing reviews for this gelateria as it is also one of the oldest ones near Pantheon. I'm sad to say there was not much special about it. The place is packed with tourists and the ticket system is a bit confusing. You have to pay at the cashier first before you can order your gelato. There was no clear queuing system and i was left to wonder as people cut in line before me. The gelato was ok, not outstanding. They offer other desserts in a separate corner with less people. If there's one thing I can comment on, the place is a piece of history in itself and is adorned with vintage signages and apparatus. It was a treat to see that they preserved the ambience.

Omg.. can’t wait to go again… LOVED it! So much flavour! I would avoid vanilla as surprisingly didn’t have any vanilla flavour but others were amazing. If you’re going for 2 scoops don’t get a tub but cone, for some reason they make the scoops for the tubs much smaller. You need to pay first at the counter by the door and then proceed to choose flavours. Nice chocolates and cakes as well.

5 ⭐️ for sure! Together with Santo Stefano in Bolognia, the best gelato I have tried! We went two different days at night and there wasn't queue but we tried once in the afternoon and there was full! so in my opinion is better to go after dinner✌🏼

“Best gelato in the world” We had 12 corns of gelato in our recent trip. 4 are from here. I recommend pistachio, crema, melon. I would definitely revisit here next time.

The Gelato was great. It tasted like real fruit. I ordered mango, lemon and pistachio. The portion was huge and the prices were reasonable. One thing is that you cannot sit inside unless you order via the waiter/waitress which is a pity . But overall, great !

We asked our tour guide to kindly take us to the best gelato in Rome. And she recommended Giolitti without hesitation Queues can be long. But well worth the wait! Small medium or large in tub or cone. Huge choice of flavours. Other dessert options available as are coffees. So good I went back the next day. Highly recommended

Best gelato in Rome ! So many flavours you can barely choose 3 you want. Prices went up after corona. It used to be 3,5 for medium now it's 4,5. But medium is quite big portion. You can't sit at the tables outside, cuz they for table service only. So we bought ice cream in a cup and wanted to have a coffee from their fancy menu, but still got told off we are not allowed to sit there 😅

Do not buy medium or large, get small, you can choose two flavors and it is more than enough, plus you get more gelato when you order cone instead of cup. This is place has great desserts and it is close to the pantheon. So many flavors to choose from and cheesecake looking ice cream dessert is also very good. Torta giolotti and mantecato piccolo are extremely delicious. Steer clear from tourist trap ice cream parlors and go to Giolitti.

Nearly the best in town, prices are not so high. There is about all day line so you should have a bit time to wait. There is many types of ice cream i prefer pistacio and strawberry. Caramel was not so tasty and white choco as well, maybe they make it better generally but that day it was not so. Also the selling guy was a bit nervous and rude. Generally good place, definitely i recommend.

Good gelato but not much different than other nearby places. The experience is unique and there’s a lot of history here so maybe that’s the hype. Worth visiting just to see how they manage all the people.

Old fashioned Roman style, really worth visiting and sitting at one of the table: - plenty of options: pastries, ice creams, some savoury appetizers; - gelati are one of the best, maritozzo is also tasty; - pricing is similar to other places in Rome; - also enjoyed service at a table - quick, funny, and typically Roman waiter.

Amazing flavour variety of gelato here at Giolitti. The coffee is very on point and delicious. I tried Mango and Melon Ice-creams, maybe the best that I have ever had. Staff were very nice, the style of uniform and the interiors of the place are very classy and chic. Would strongly recommend Giolitti.

Maybe one of the best ice cream shops I have ever been to. You will find it on google maps that is very close to the Pantheon and very easily accessible. There was a long cue but it is worth waiting a little bit when you are visiting Rome. There is a wide variety of flavours to taste all freshly made .

A historical gelato shop and it’s very famous in the spot. The queue is long but the waiting time is reasonable. They serve a wide variety of gelato flavours. Our personal favourite would definitely be the pistachio and yogurt combination. (Actually you won’t be disappointed with any of their products). Just give it a try when you go visit the historical monuments nearby.

A place with an Italian flair for sure. Small ice (two flavours) -> 3.5 euro The price to quality is very good. I tried the champagne and the pistachio. But what a pistachio it was! Perfectly pistachio and creamy and with perfect pieces of pistachio 💚. The champagne was like a sorbet, one bite melted in the mouth to turn into a sip of champagne. At one point, you can feel the bubbles all the way 🤍 I highly recommend this place! :)

Pay at the entrance to get a ticket before going in. 3.50 for small (2 flavors) 5.00 for a medium (2-3 flavors) and 6.00 for a large (3-4 flavors). A+ for flavor selection but the quality is not all there. With so many it is hard to excel in everything. For excellence focus is needed. The staff were mostly okay and plenty of signage telling patrons not to sit at the tables unless you want table service. They offer many other delights which I did not try. My rating is entirely on the quality of the gelato and they are only okay at it.

Staff are very friendly and tried their best to recommend favor to you even thought English is not their thing. Love the favor, love the choices and love the vibe there! The medium and above portion is big, so consider sharing if possible. It's pay first at the counter near entrance, then take the receipt to ice cream counter and ask for yours. Took me few minutes to figured this out... 😂 Comparing to other shops, this shop have one of the best favor from my opinion!

Was recommended this place by locals and for good reason. I got the pistachio and mango and it has been my fav of both flavours. You could taste the freshness of the mango and the creamy nuttiness of the pistachio was to die for. The service however was a bit appraiser and confusing. We didn’t know we had to purchase a ticket first before lining up at the flavour section

a wonderful experience! the line was long but it was moving very quickly. the employees were all lovely and very generous sour cherry was my favorite! raspberry, lemon, and mango were all delicious. pineapple was flavorless.

Really nice and authentic gelato, the textures are perfect. I especially loved the pistachio flavour which has crushed pistachio pieces in it too. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is the service is quite bad. We were deciding a flavour and the person was getting visibly irritated and impatient even though we didn’t even take that long.

Best gelato in Rome. You can just say that by the crowd outside the store. For just 3,50€ they fill your cone with two flavors. I picked Organe and Melon. Organe was by far the best sorbet I had in my life. It has an amazing special place in my heart. When I think I my Italy trip this gelato has a special place in my heart.

The best gelato in Rome, maybe even Italy! We took the table service option inside as it was very hot so the cool internal seating area was refreshing. The gelato was excellent, easily the best I have ever had. The service was good and price was well worth it. A must for any visit to Rome.

This is the Holy Grail of Roman ice cream. Be prepared to queue, then elbow your way to an extravagant, triple flavour, cone... but the prize is well worth the trouble. And if the staff ask : "con panna?" just answer "si" and pretend your latest blood tests were perfect. I am planning to come back soon and sample all the petits fours.

Best ice cream in Rome! Portions are good! For me, even the small cup was too big. I ordered two flavors: pistachio and nocciola. Both of them were amazing!! I would definitely repeat the mix.

Best gelato in the city by far. A large (4 flavours) cost €6, so great prices. The Nutella and sour cherry flavours are TO DIE FOR!!!

  • 5/5 Yoanna I. 10 months ago on Google
Great location for gelato which offers a big variety of flavours. The price for a small gelato (2 flavours) is 3.50 EUR however the size is quite big for one person. Giolitti is a classic place and you won’t be disappointed! One minus I would say is that you don’t have the option to sit anywhere close by after you get your gelato..
