Apart for the beauty of museum, if you are looking for a washroom to relive yourself, go around the building on right side enter door 4 and on first level you will find toilet. Well maintained and it free public toilet. Secondly if you continue to level 2, you will have a balcony from where you can view the city. Highly recommended.

The museum is nice, beautiful pieces, but visit is very confusing to walk. No signs of where you should go without a map. Also they ask for a document to go in or if you want to get the audioguide and their website is very confusing to get tickets 🤦🏼‍♀️

There are a lot of stairs/steps, but this is a pretty sizable museum with many different items to see. Also a great view overlooking the Roman Forum next door.

Absolutely loved it here. It was surreal seeing statues that I’d only seen in books. I went in capitoline museum right at open at 9:30 and so it was very empty which was nice. I had a little trouble finding palazzo Nuovo through the underground path and accidentally left the museum before I saw it. When I realized, the security let me back in so that I could see it

The Palazzo dei Conservatori in Rome is a stunning historical building that houses the Capitoline Museums' extensive collection of ancient Roman art and artifacts. Visitors can view works by famous historical figures such as Bernini, Caravaggio, and the famous Capitoline Wolf statue.

I am sure the museum is excellent, but I also need to tell you of the excellent shaded piazza at the side, and the free access to museum toilets, excellent little cafe & rooftop terrace with views.

A palace that houses the Capitoline Museum. Fine looking building designed by Michelangelo himself, updated with modern amenities for the modern museum.

Inside there are truly wonderful works exhibited in a fairly well distributed way. The brightness inside is excellent and allows you to better enjoy a visit. It is definitely worth seeing.

(Translated by Google) Designed by Michelangelo to complete the redesigned Piazza himself. Obviously the model is the Palazzo dei Conservatori that stands before it. Today it is part of the museum itinerary of the Capitoline Museums, in its small courtyard is placed the giant lying statue of Marforio that, together with the most famous Pasquino and other characters, is one of the so-called "talking statues" of Rome. Not to be missed! @gargio76

(Translated by Google) The New Palace (so called because it was built ex-Novo and was not a remake of an old building) was built to a design by Michelangelo in the seventeenth century by Girolamo and Carlo Rainaldi. It was built in front of the Palazzo dei Conservatori, positioning it so that even considering the Palazzo dei Senatori, the square had a trapezoidal shape. After some time, the building was used as a museum, along with the Palace of the Conservatives. The most important areas are: Courtyard - There is a beautiful fountain, at the base of which stands the imposing statue called del Marforio (one of the six so-called "talking statues" of Rome). Picture Gallery - It 'the statue of the "Capitoline discus thrower" Colombe Room - The room takes its name from the famous mosaic that is present there Venus Cabinet - A small room where the famous statue is present, called "Capitoline Venus". Sala degli Imperatori - There are several sculptures representing the emperors of Rome Hall of Philosophers - There are several sculptures representing philosophers, for example Homer, Pythagoras Aeschylus, Socrates, etc Shop - There are wonderful works, among which there are bronze statues example of the old and the young Centaur Centaur Sala del Galata - It takes its name from the famous statue of the "Galata Capitolino" there is also "the wounded Amazon" work of the fifth century BC.

(Translated by Google) This wing of the Capitoline museums can be reached through the corridor that passes under the Piazza del Campidoglio. Here we would find a series of statues that convey the feeling that at any moment they descend from their pedestal and begin to walk. The jewel in the crown of this part of the museums, in my opinion, is the dying galata.

(Translated by Google) It is part of the Capitoline Museums, it is accessed by an underground that connects it below the square. It is worth visiting if you have time, this building especially has sculptures and a beautiful fountain on the way out. If we had to leave something on deposit, we can go out the door and cross to the other building without problem.

(Translated by Google) The palace was built in the 17th century, but it is believed that Michelangelo's façade was designed. Since the nineteenth century it has been used as a museum. Interior decorations in wood and gilded plaster are still original. In his halls are exhibited artifacts from Egypt, Greece and Rome. There are two halls in the museum that should not be missed - the Emperor Hall and the Philosophers Hall.

(Translated by Google) Pope Paul III wanted to impress the fifth Emperor of the Roman Empire, Charles V, who was due to visit in 1538. He asked Michelangelo to build a square and palace that would show the greatness of the city and its splendor. Michelangelo planned a trapezoid square and three palaces surrounding it. The palaces and the square were designed to face the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican and the developing part of the city and not as in antiquity where the buildings turned to the Forum. The execution of the project was slow and most of it was not completed until the date of Carl V's visit. Only a small part of it ended during Michelangelo's life. The Capitoline Museum is housed in this palace and in the palace opposite, Palazzo dei Conservatori and the town hall is located in the central palace, Palazzo Senatorio. (Palazzo Senatorio).
