Huge area of Roman empire buildings. You can spend the day here. Recommend you have a guidebook or audio guide to fully appreciate the area. Note the collosum is not park of this area.

Awesome place. Poorly organised. Would highly recommend to think ahead and go early since queues are quite long and tedious. If you book a ticket, you are still required to queue only with a skip the line you can go ahead without waiting. The ticket for the 3 sites (all included in price) can be used over two days but once used this cannot be used again for the same site. When going to visit the other two sites after visiting the Coloseum, there is another queue. Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum are particularly beautiful, but be prepared to walk and plan to have ample time to view the place properly as there is much to see. Tickets are fairly cheap at €12 and people between 18-25 enter at a reduced prices of €2.

What more can be said about the ancient city of Rome about the variety of iconic monuments it has to offer? So to say the obvious when it comes to the wonder of the world among the leading and unique of its kind, it is something not to be missed and although the place is touristy and intensely crowded it is still one of the places that seems to be a must see in life.

Never thought id appreciate history as much as i did here. But once again, i highly recommend getting a tour guide so you can get a vivid picture painted in your head as to what happened where. Otherwise all you can do is speculate as you look at rocks and mostly destroyed buildings. PS don't forget to buy your selfie sticks lmao

Incredible history and the oldest ruins I’ve personally ever been in front of. We booked this tour connected with our tour of the Coliseum which was more cost effective. Not recommended to experience this without a tour guide or it’s hard to know what you’re looking at. Many of the features are so decayed without an explanation they are not recognizable. It’s a lot of walking so dress accordingly and very few places to use the bathroom or get refreshments

Lots of walking on uneven surfaces so be prepared but this place is amazing and an absolute must see in Rome. Bring a drink as there is no where to get one once Inside. Also make sure you get the super ticket not standard or you can not enter all the buildings.

Must see. Saw it with a guide and last time without a guide. You can easily spend hours at Palatine Hill. To be honest, Patine hill is far more interesting than the Colosseum. The Forum is also nice to get an idea how the political centre of Rome used to look like. Palatine hill is nice when it’s hot as it has lots of trees to shelter from the hot summer sun. See the Colosseum early morning and Palatine hill when it’s hot.

Absolutely breathtaking to walk this historic site! Be sure you give yourself a good 3 hours to explore and take your time. I did the “full experience” ticket which was well worth it.

I used Air BnB to acquire a guide to walk around this piece of history. It changed the experience from a bunch of ruins to a journey into ancient times with good explanations and pictures to help your imagination. Highly recommended.

Lots of potential but managed by a bunch of idiots. What the hell is this. Extra passes? Reservations online in advance? No descriptions, didnt get one clue of what it once looked like. Skipped the colosseum was happy to be out of this maze of old bricks.

Awesome place to visit. So much history in one attraction. You could spend hours here learning of the past and marveling at the temples and basilicas that have been unearthed. Incredible and not to be missed.

This is by far the highlight visit of a trip to Rome. Visiting this park is an absolute must. The park is huge and you can spend the whole day walking around seeing the historical site. I would highly recommend a visit to this park. The best and quickest way to enter this park is buying the Full Experience Ticket with access to the Arena. It is 24 Euros and you skip the ques and gain access very quickly. I would highly recommend a visit to this park.

We purchased a tour package to avoid the lines. Best money spent, especially if you have tired legs and joints. Like many world famous monuments, this is a building I have seen over and over in videos and photos. And still, it is AWESOME. Even without the stories our guide was able to share about the Colisseum, the sheer size and architecture of a structure build thousands of years ago is extraordinary. We also visited the colisseum in Capua, which is also a magnificent structure, but this one is king of them all. Another must see monument when visiting Rome. We visited in mid-November. Crowds were plentiful. We originally planned a visit in July, but even larger crowds and high temperatures made us change our plans.

We visited with a tour guide. Thank goodness we did. In school, we get a very high level education on Rome and it’s glory. The tour guide had so many stories about each spot. Apparently, materials in those days were in short supply and extremely expensive. So it was not unusual for materials to be repurposed (stolen) and taken to a new location. The doors below are bronze and were set in a cement to prevent theft. They are one of the few original doors still in place. They even found the key to the door and it still works!!! This place is full of stories like that. Our tour was two hours. It could have been four. It was truly fascinating.

Very interesting place with a very extensive range of architecture pieces. One of the best and most important places to visit! The history of this place is very interesting and you can really imagine how this used to be in the 8th century. Besides the architecture there are beautiful sculptures and beautiful gardens.

Absolutely breathtaking! A must see if you're in Italy. Tons of history and you feel like you were there. Individual tickets weren't available so I did a last minute group tour for 60 euros. Totally worth it.

The Parco Archeologico del Colosseo is an absolute must-see if you're visiting Rome. The historical significance of the site is truly impressive and the excavations and ruins are fascinating to explore. However, be prepared for a long wait to get in, as the lines can be quite long. Despite the wait, it's definitely worth it to experience the rich history and beautiful views of the Colosseum and other ancient structures in the park.

One of the marvels of the world. An absolute must. Fantastic panoramic views. One should dedicate at least 2 or 3 hours and be prepared for a long walk among the ruins also going uphill to the Palatine and its museum and extra time for the Colosseum.

If you love history and architecture then this is a once in a lifetime experience. October is a great time to visit weather wise. Be prepared you will want to walk a lot! There are a lot of people but it doesn't feel crowded. As a side note people drive crazy, be prepared.

We booked the full experience ticket. Getting into the colosseum was super quick as there's no queue if you have the full experience ticket (make sure you go through the guided tour gate though). There's was no information given to us about how we find our tour so we had to ask a bit. Once we're were with our tour group it was all very clear. I wasn't aware that you can pre-purchase audio guides of the underground. I don't think anyone one in our group did this in advance as it would have been super handy. The chaperone was very good to us in explaining a bit about the colosseum and made it easier for us to imagine for details of the underground in particular about where the animals and gladiators were located. We had ample time to explore too. With the underground you also get entry to the arena floor to walk the perimeter and then you get ample time to take a seat and soak up the atmosphere of the arena floor. Overall the colosseum is a wonder you have to experience
