A beautiful Renaissance bridge. Looks like its modelled after the roman spans that crossed the river in the centuries past. There is a pretty good view of St. Pater's dome from the bridge as well.

This is a very nice spot to visit if you are visiting ROME. It is within walking distance from Trevi Fountain about 30 minutes walk. You can get extremely nice photographs here . There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and also it is slightly cheaper than the city center. I would highly recommend a visit to this area.

Beautiful to stroll along the River river and see the many bridges, my favorite of which is Ponte Sisto. Continue on into the Trastavere neighborhood and have a drink or meal at one of the many restaurants in the foodie section of Rome, and don't forget the Gelato!

Ponte Sisto in Rome is a charming bridge spanning the Tiber River. With its historic architecture and scenic views, it offers a delightful stroll. The bridge’s picturesque surroundings and pedestrian-friendly atmosphere make it a must-visit spot in the heart of Rome. Probably built by Marcus Aurelius in 211 A.D., it was originally called "Pons Aurelius". Destroyed by a flood of the Tiber river in 792 it was called "Rotto" (Broken) until it was restored by appointment of Pope Sixtus the Fourth

At the heart of Rome's nightlife, Ponte Sisto is an enchanting historical site that becomes full of life as soon as night comes. I'd recommend visiting the location if you're looking for a fun night out in Rome!

A pedestrian bridge leading to an island on tge river. Buskers often play here so its interesting spot to pass by. If you sit down below the bridge on the rivers edge you can enjoy the music with almost nobody around... a peaceful spot to read or have a picnic.

Its not that clean. However the build of all these wonderful bridges and the atmosphere of Rome and the people is fantastic. Truely wish I could have been here before the graffiti and vandalism. Otherwise it's amazing.

Ponte Sisto is the only unchanged bridge in Rome since it was built in the 15th century, standing as a remarkable example of historical preservation.

In the morning you can view the sun rise in the winter. Afternoons, musicians play on the bridge. Across is the Piazza Trilussa. West side, there's an iconic view of the dome of St Peter's. Bridges rarely have so much to offer. Walk slow

A nice place to stop and take a photo on the river. Sometimes there is live music playing. A beautiful spot

This was the location of our most memorable and enjoyable evening in Rome. A Tiber River market stretched out longer than we could endure (be prepared for lots and lots of locals, tourists as well). Great music, atmosphere, places to eat and drink, dance, play carnival games, shop and people watch.

I just love having walks in Ponte Sisto, great view of Tiber River. It connects Trastevere to landmarks like Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Trevi, etc. (15 to 20 min walk). If you are also lucky, you will hear good musicians playing live in the bridge.

A marvel in engineering and design. The bridge is as beautiful as it is old. It speaks to the history and culture of Rome. There are variour restaurants and bars located at the bottom of the bridge. All sorts of dishes and drinks are served. At night the area comes ti life with mysic and loads of people. Thenis also a ferry that can be seen passing thru the Tiber river. All in all this is a great spot to sit, eat, walk and dance.

One of my favourite places in Rome and one of the best locations to people watch and take it all in. A beautiful bridge that links Trastevere and the city centre together. Come at night (and anytime really) and you will know what I mean. (July 2022)
