Very overpriced for what you get. Dormitory rooms has no lockers in the doors, so you can’t close yourself and feel safe during the night. Shared bathrooms were very dirty and gross, there was no daily cleaning going on and even there was no basic hand soap at the sink. Also there was not enough bathrooms and toilets for the rooms, taking a shower and using the toilet was a constant “hunt”.The bathrooms had moldy walls and shower. Very uncomfortable. Lack of normal duvet with duvet cover is also a big drawback in my opinion, instead you get old gross blanket or something like coverlet, there is only a pillow in pillow cover and the sheet. Bunk beds have no covering curtains so you have no privacy at all. In the shared rooms there’s no even a chair or table to do daily activities which is so uncomfortable in my opinion, in my room there was only one little night table for 6 beds. No kitchen, no microwave. Overall I am extremely disappointed because my stay was uncomfortable nightmare- and expensive! Not recommended at all 👎🏻

I had bus ticket to next destination leaving at night. So I needed to leave my luggage at hotel and stay until late afternoon at robby after checked out. Anyway, when I checked in first night, hostel staff told me, I can stay at garden table after check out, and he offered me using bathroom for taking shower before heading to bus station. Anyway, after I checked out , I stayed at garden table, but other staff tried to kick me out of hostel site. So, I explained what their staff offered me. But suddenly hostel owner, looks like a Mafia appeared, and take my language out to the street, and kicked me out. This hostel is crazy for money, they charge 5€ for towel, 5€ for keeping luggage after checked out (even you pay 5€, you can't stay at hostel lobby) , and they don't allow you bringing alcohol from outside. If you want to drink beer at Hostel, you have to pay extra for crazy expensive beer at reception. the hostel owner looks Arabic or somewhere out of Europe. he is crazy person, threatening with violence . for avoiding hit by him or get in trouble, I recommend you find another hostel. this hostel owner has another hostel, Roman Experience near by Villa Luzzatti. Be careful mates!

This place showed up in photos like a pretty decent spot for sleeping, but far from it! The mixed bedroom were NOT like the photos, didn't have A/C, just a stand fan for 8 two-places beds. Take no credit cards, no lockers, no stairs to climb for up beds, my bed had some support of the base broken and you feel like you've been swallowed. Also a charging outlet near bed was loose and sparkling, and no extinguisher near. I'm giving two stars just because one service girl (Arannia i guess is her name; she's Algerian) was nice and gave a decent service.

The worst "hostel" I've ever stayed at. First of all, I don't know how this place can even be called a hostel. They have no kitchen, no bar and absolutely no social vibe or atmosphere whatsoever. The beds are tiny and in cramped rooms, with only one bathroom per floor. When I arrived, there wasn't even soap or toilet paper in the bathroom and a staff member actually gave me a roll of toilet paper to install myself. The staff are also incredibly socially awkward and rude, especially Anthony. He has no idea what customer service is, and does not make you feel welcome at all. He even made one of the guests cry during my stay because he was so rude and unable to interact in a normal social manner. He rolls his eyes and sighs at the simplest requests, which you would think would be an obvious no-no. Anyway, I could go on but I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. If you are stuck without options, I implore you to pay more to stay elsewhere. This place is absolutely terrible and the the price you pay is ridiculous considering the service and amenities you get.

Our stay was horrible! We arrived at the location after a 20 min walk and it was closed, so we called the Number at the door. A guy replied quite rude on WhatsApp and sent us a different location. So we had to walk another 15 min to the befriended hostel. After waiting for around half an hour we could check in and they told us that all the rooms are full and overbooked so they moved us to a third location. After walking again around the area we ended up in an Appartment and they brought us to our final room. We ended up sleeping in a 10 people dorm with no shutters. It was very smelly and dirty all over. By looking on the mattress of the bunk bed above we saw that it was fully covered in mold. No wondering it was hard to breathe inside after a while. A completely stressed out receptionist who's doing everything and the other staff sitting around drinking was the least of our problems with this hostel. The "cheap" price is definitely not worth the misery. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place to anybody, for us it was a nightmare.

Terrible experience i got scammed / charged twice with no refund during my stay in juli 2023. Also super sketchy establishment. On arrival the receptionist told me that their card reader is not working and i have to pay cash. After paying i demanded a receipt for my payment which i was told was going to be sent to me via mail. By the time i was able to check my mail i had already checked out just to find out i never got the receipt and they charged my credit card again. I called multiple times and was assured a refund everytime however nothing ever happened. On top of that the rooms cant be locked and i didnt get a key even after asking. So anyone can walk into the rooms at any time. There are also not enough lockers for everyone so the first day i had to carry my valuables with me cause there wasnt a free locker + the rooms couldnt be locked. AC also wasnt working and the bunk beds had no ladder so the top bunk was pretty much inaccessible for short und unathletic people.

Staff is very kind and location is great but wet floors in the bathrooms, all 2 of them so it makes it hard to feel comfortable. Bed okay, and they have very useful lockers (bring ur lock) outside the rooms. There's few things to improve that are details and could be a great place. I recommend to stay a few nights and spend little money in Rome. Thanks girls 😊

A little overpriced for what you get… The staff were really friendly and hospitable, but the place is very uncomfortable. The bathrooms are really gross and there wasn’t even hand soap. Didn’t seem like there was daily cleaning going on. There is a shared fridge and some kitchen access but not very functional or inviting. But I felt relatively safe here and the bed was really comfy. Decent location as well.

Everything was dirty except the sheets. And when I asked for soap, I was told that they don’t do that and I had to get it myself. Absolutely no room to move in the rooms, for the high price it could be much better. All the recent reviews are fake. Also the photos have NOTHING to do with reality.

Please don´t stay in this hostel! Once we got there they said there was a problem with the bedroom we booked and made us stay one night in a closet with two bunk beds which had no windows (we noticed they did the same the next night with other guests). There were only two bathrooms (one of them didn´t have a lock in the door) and they were super dirty, smelling bad, and always flooded since the showers had no door. Plus, there is no safe space for you to keep your luggage, the staff told us to keep it in the stairs in the front of their desk. The bedrooms don't have a lock, and its tricky to get to the top bunk since some of the beds don't even have a stair.

Absolutely the worst place I've ever stayed in. Dirty room with hair or bed, bathroom even dirtier. Couldn't even close the door, and a staff randomly came inside in the morning without knocking or anything and started showering, and the other staff told me I would be alone in the room. They are fooling about prices and they are lying about everything. As soon as you want to talk to someone they're sending each other to you and none of them got answers. NOT recommending this if you're a normal and fresh person.

This is the worst ''youth hostel'' I've ever experienced. A detailed description of this awfull place : We were two people, booked a shared room through Booking. When we arrived, they told us there was a problem with our room which was ''in desinfection''. First problem : they absolutely didn't tell us before we arrived. Second problem : it says a lot about the hygiene if the room is being desinfected... They told us to go to ''their second hostel'' (which is Youth Hostel Termini), not very far away, but they didn't propose taxi or anything. They didn't even apologies. When we arrived, the guy at the ''reception'' (if we can call it like that) directly asked for the city taxes in cash (28€). We gave him 30, he took it, and went to his private room. He came back to us saying "he has no change" but kept everything saying he will give us the 2€ after. (huge scam, yes.) The first night was terrible. No hot water in the ''shared bathroom" (2 showers for 36 beds). Moisture on the bathrooms, the shower door was broken and couldn't even close, no toilet paper... Everything was so dirty. The bed was very unconfortable but we could sleep the first night. The second night, it was impossible to sleep: 8 people in such a small room is indecent especialy when there's a guy who snore like hell. The reception-guy said he would change his bedroom, but he was still there the night after. We searched for an other place after that. We should have done it before. This huge scam has ruined our first days of holidays in Rome.

Very poor communication. We cannot testify to the quality of stay here because they canceled it and we got no notification. They allowed us to sit there as we frantically searched for another place to stay, but initially provided no other help. After 2 hours of phone calls, frantically searching, and spending WAY ABOVE our budget, they decided to change there minds and say we could stay. The offer to stay after two hours of stress was too little too late. In the end we left with way smaller wallets & a bad view of this hostel.

Worst experience in a hostel ever. They send you a message which says if you are arriving after 22h you can inform them to do the check in. I informed that i was arriving around midnight and on my way to the hotel, just two minutes before I got there they cancelled my reservation. There were like 6 people in the same situation as me. They told us that after 00h all reservations are cancelled and there was no room for us so made us wait for almost two hours. Finally they got us a room in a hostel that was close. The receptionist was rude and with a “not my problem” attitude. It was despairing. When you arrive at a place at that hour you are tired and definitely not expecting this situation. The hostel was dirty and from the room you could listen all the noises of Rome.

It was the cheapest hostel that we found (Rome is a bit expensive in terms of accomodation) but after 3 nights there we would definetly choose another hostel to stay. We slept on the room near to the receiption, entrance and common area so it was a lot of noise until 1am. The heaters in the room didn't work and we had to ask for one because the bedroom was really cold, also there wasn´t stairs to reach the upper bed. They only had one sheet for the mattress so we had to cover up with a blanket that never was washed before it smelt really bad. The common area was more for the workers than exactly the visitors. Finally, the entrance of the hostel was really messy with random matresses, chairs and furniture in the rain.

Rooms were disgusting. Unsure if they changed sheets and blankets when guests checked out of our room. Floor felt sticky. Felt like I would get dirtier if I tried using there gross shower. Stairs to 3rd floor are sketchy af. No locks to rooms or building. No lockers on our floor. Had 6 beds in a room that could just fit 4. Never saw anyone cleaning the toilets or rest of the building. WiFi was not amazing. Decent location and really friendly staff tho :)

The worst hostel where i‘ve stayed. I had an accident at the same day and had no other option to book in other place. A high price (+100€) for a really small beth in 10-beths-room. The hostel had dirty bathrooms and few electricity points inside the room. Also no storage for the luggage under danger that someone steals them and they even charge you 3€ for each one. It seems that they take advantage that someone (by an emegency) needs a place by offering so expensive prices for a really bad service… In my opinion as costumer that shouldn‘t be tolerate !

Probably one of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed at, despite the fact that they practice ageism. This is a very poor value for a hotel. If this was in south east Asia it be about a two dollar a night hostel. Way over priced. It seems that there’s a couple of these hotels in this area that are all tied into one another because they work together to find you a room.

Stayed here for 2 nights. We slept at the 3rd floor with 6 people in 1 room (rooms have no locks). Felt a bit cramped sometimes but everyone in our room was really considerate so not a big problem. The beds are nice and got some decent sleep woke up a few times because it got cold. Our room didn't have duvets, instead we got some sorta blanket that never got washed, it really stinked. So for 2 nights I just covered my legs with the blanket and slept in my clothes. Other rooms do seem to have duvets. The showers were ok but ours had a really disgusting showerhead it was all black, and if someone else was using the showers in the other bathrooms ours wouldn't get enough water. Staff are nice and seem really helpful and sociable/ Would have given this hostel a higher rating if it wasn't for the whole blanket situation.

On checkout, to leave your bag in a dirty unchecked hallway for 5€: "You paid for the bed and not to store a bag." Sums up the overall experience pretty well...

In the description of the booking they are having age limit from 18~35 years for the place shown in pictures. Other hand they will shift you to nearby apartment which is very conjusted and needs maintenance.

I’m shocked to see it has such a high rating; maybe I just got very unlucky. The good: - Donato, a receptionist who helped me a lot with a personal issue (also the sole reason for the one and only star) The bad: - No lockers anywhere. I thought about leaving my valuable belongings at the reception but turns out the area is open to everyone as the sink is behind the counter. This is also where they keep your bags before check in and after check out (for €4) which is extremely unprofessional. - NO LADDER to get to the top bunk bed. I’m short so it was pretty hard to get on/off. - Shower curtain was absolutely disgusting. A new one can be found for less than €3, come on guys. - Ran out of hot water in the evening, we were told to wait until 7:30 AM the next morning. Issue was only fixed around 10 AM, by which I had to be gone, so I simply didn’t get to shower. - My room was next to the reception, so I could hear everyone talking in the lobby. This went on as late as 2 AM and as early as 6 AM. TLDR: avoid

Place clean ; staff helpful and communicative ; the place itself is situated half an hour of casual walking distance to the Lateran Basilique or the Coloseum; 5 minutes to metro on the downsize note no lockers available made keeping your stuff in good order a little difficult anyway overall great experience, highly recommend !:)

Superb place to stay when visiting Rome. They gave us quite a thorough introduction to Italy's culture, today's situation, foods, drinks and places to visit. Just wonderful. So kind and sharing. Thank you a lot! It's a nice small walk to the Colosseum from the hotel. There is safe private parking inside the garden, behind closed gates and under a shade for motorcycles. Costs 5€ per bike.

I enjoyed staying at this place! Very good location (close to the colosseum 😻) and they have good service in general. I have to mention Sergio who was an excellent host to me and my partner. I will definitely come back here if I have the chance and I recommend to everyone who's looking for a nice place to stay in Roma. Thanks for my first experience in Roma and in Europe! Thank you Villa Luzzatti 🌹 Maria

Amazing hostel!! The staff was amazing. Erika, the Brazilian mama, super friendly, lovely (always makes you laugh) and always at your disposal for everything. You have another Brazilian guy, Vinny, funny and always up for a good singing competition. He will always put a big smile on you and make you feel at home. In the second building (just one minute away) you have Lorenzo also always at your disposal for anything you need, really friendly and amazing cook, for just a couple of euros he cooks traditional dishes for lunch and dinner (he doesn't cook breakfast, but you have a big breakfast for only 2euros every morning). Mica, super professional and friendly. The position is the great, everything is walking distance (in case you don't want to walk, behind the corner, you have metro Manzoni. A modern hostel , Really comfortable beds, super clean and lots of fun. They always organise some activities for the night (great pub crawls!!!!!) I highly recommend this hostel if you come to Rome

But for the price quite an terrible experience.

Staying at this hostel really made my time in Rome what it was. Between the people I met, the intelligent conversations, the laughs, and the care of the owner and all the staff and friends, it was spectacular! The owner also makes dinner around 9:00p or so every night which was to die for! The location is about a 15 minute walk from the main station (Termini) and so close to so many other things! Highly, highly recommend this stay!

Bad points: - No kitchen, no TV, no pan to cook - No AC in rooms, hard to sleep with 26-28°C by night. And only a big blanket is given, no sheet. Definitely too warm for a blanket and you have to pay an extra for the sheet. - No locker in rooms - half the beds dont have access to outlet to charge their phone by night - loud place. You hear pretty luch everything from other rooms and outside - most of the stuff are broken or almost in the bathrooms. - it's said that rooms are cleaned everyday. Well, the water drainage of the shower was full of hair, like nobody took them away for months. Good points: - Most of the people working there were really cool. Anthony was an angel. - You have a terrace to chill with other clients in the evening - Cheapest place i've found in last minute

Not too bad for a basic overnight place in Rome. The staff is friendly, the owner however can be a bit grumpy. The place is quite clean, it gets a major cleaning every week. So you might be able to check-in only at 16:00 on that day. You can get a towel and a locker for a deposit or a small fee. There are chargers in the lobby and nearby almost all beds. You can even buy cold drinks at the reception. Just card payments were not possible during my stay, as there was a technical issue. The receptionist had some weird preferences of playing videos on his smartphone at 23:00, so be prepared for some noises or get some ear plugs. And don’t leave any valuable things in the room, there was an incident where a guest complained that his bag was “relocated”

I stayed in this hostel for 5 days and I really love it! It is close to main train station and nice restaurants and caffe. 3 min by walk to metro and bus stop. Room was very comfortable and clean, guys on the reception were very kind and always ready to help. There was always nice friendly atmosphere. Usually in the evening around 9 p.m they serve a very delicious dinner with traditional italian food which has a cheap price. During the dinner I met a lot of new friends and had a really nice time. Hostel has also a really nice garden where you can relax, drink coffee. In the common area they have a big comfortable sofa where you can chill out and watch TV. Would definitely recommend this hostel and would certainly stay here again.

This is the worst place ever. The straff in the man reception was setviceminded. But the receptionist at the sleeping rooms was not setviceminded at all, they had a rude way of talking, no service and helpfulness at all. The toilets were dirty and The sleeping room had no door so you dont feel safe during the night. The beds, not sure they changed sheets. Never more will i come here.
