I
wanted
to
share
my
recent
bad
experience
at
the
Days
Inn
&
Suites
by
Wyndham
in
Bolingbrook.
I
had
to
go
to
a
conference
in
Bolingbrook
on
October
8
&9,
so
on
9/26
I
booked
a
2
night
hotel
stay
at
the
Days
Inn
&
Suites
by
Wyndham
Romeoville.
I
reviewed
the
pictures
online
and
read
the
description
and
thought
this
was
going
to
be
a
nice
stay.
I
did
not
know
this
normal
2
night
stay
would
turn
into
a
nightmare.
The
first
thing
I
noticed
when
we
checked
in
the
hotel
is
the
worn
out
carpet
and
musty
smell.
At
the
front
desk
I
asked
the
clerk
about
the
swimming
pool
that
was
listed
on
company’s
website,
but
was
advised
it
was
“closed”.
Then,
I
asked
about
their
breakfast
that
was
also
advertised
on
the
hotel’s
website,
and
found
out
it
was
also
a
lie,
and
they
don’t
offer
it.
I
got
the
key
and
went
to
my
non-smoking
room,
which
also
smelled
slightly
musty.
I
wanted
to
wash
my
face
after
the
trip.
To
my
disappointment,
there
were
no
soaps,
shampoos
or
lotions
available
and
the
large
countertop
had
been
cracked.
I
took
a
picture
of
it
to
show
it
to
the
desk
clerk
when
I
went
to
get
some
small
shampoo
bottles.
According
to
him,
he
was
not
aware
of
the
broken
countertop,
but
if
it
bothered
me,
was
willing
to
get
me
another
room.
I
was
exhausted
and
fighting
a
migraine,
so
I
declined
because
I
just
wanted
to
go
to
bed.
I
returned
to
the
room
and
tried
to
lock
up
and
noticed
that
the
door
was
hung
unevenly,
so
it
was
very
difficult
to
lock
the
upper
bolt.
I
had
to
lift
up
the
door
and
line
it
up
to
make
it
lock
properly.
I
didn’t
feel
good,
so
I
fell
asleep
very
quickly,
but
then
was
awoken
around
11
pm
by
loud
noise,
music
and
yelling.
The
same
repeated
about
midnight
and
then
again
around
3
am.
A
drunk
guest
fell
outside
my
room
and
was
cursing
and
yelling
when
he
couldn’t
get
up.
All
this
made
me
as
a
woman,
feel
very
uncomfortable
and
scared.
Then
as
I
got
up
to
go
to
the
bathroom
and
take
some
more
medicine
for
my
headache,
I
noticed
a
very
strong
smell
of
smoke
in
our
bathroom.
The
guests
next
door
must
have
been
smoking,
and
the
smoke
seeped
into
our
bathroom.
That
was
the
last
straw.
I
could
not
bear
staying
there
for
another
night
and
go
thru
the
same
experience.
I
went
downstairs
to
check
out
and
explained
to
the
clerk
the
reasons
why
I
needed
to
leave
early
and
asked
for
the
refund
for
the
2
night.
He
was
nice,
but
said
he
couldn’t
help
me
because
I
booked
my
reservation
thru
Expedia,
so
any
refunds
must
come
through
them.
Later
that
day,
I
reached
out
to
Expedia,
who
told
me
the
refunds
must
be
approved
by
hotel
manager
“Bob”.
And
they
were
going
to
talk
to
him
and
ask
for
the
refund.
Of
course,
now
Bob
is
refusing
to
refund
the
2nd
night
because
he
didn’t
deem
my
reasons
to
check
out
early
to
be
valid.
He,
or
his
staff
never
bothered
to
check
on
me,
but
the
Expedia
sent
me
a
survey
wanted
to
know
how
satisfied
I
was
with
my
stay.
Well,
I’ll
be
glad
to
share
my
experience
with
them
and
other
potential
guests.
