I wanted to share my recent bad experience at the Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Bolingbrook. I had to go to a conference in Bolingbrook on October 8 &9, so on 9/26 I booked a 2 night hotel stay at the Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Romeoville. I reviewed the pictures online and read the description and thought this was going to be a nice stay. I did not know this normal 2 night stay would turn into a nightmare. The first thing I noticed when we checked in the hotel is the worn out carpet and musty smell. At the front desk I asked the clerk about the swimming pool that was listed on company’s website, but was advised it was “closed”. Then, I asked about their breakfast that was also advertised on the hotel’s website, and found out it was also a lie, and they don’t offer it. I got the key and went to my non-smoking room, which also smelled slightly musty. I wanted to wash my face after the trip. To my disappointment, there were no soaps, shampoos or lotions available and the large countertop had been cracked. I took a picture of it to show it to the desk clerk when I went to get some small shampoo bottles. According to him, he was not aware of the broken countertop, but if it bothered me, was willing to get me another room. I was exhausted and fighting a migraine, so I declined because I just wanted to go to bed. I returned to the room and tried to lock up and noticed that the door was hung unevenly, so it was very difficult to lock the upper bolt. I had to lift up the door and line it up to make it lock properly. I didn’t feel good, so I fell asleep very quickly, but then was awoken around 11 pm by loud noise, music and yelling. The same repeated about midnight and then again around 3 am. A drunk guest fell outside my room and was cursing and yelling when he couldn’t get up. All this made me as a woman, feel very uncomfortable and scared. Then as I got up to go to the bathroom and take some more medicine for my headache, I noticed a very strong smell of smoke in our bathroom. The guests next door must have been smoking, and the smoke seeped into our bathroom. That was the last straw. I could not bear staying there for another night and go thru the same experience. I went downstairs to check out and explained to the clerk the reasons why I needed to leave early and asked for the refund for the 2 night. He was nice, but said he couldn’t help me because I booked my reservation thru Expedia, so any refunds must come through them. Later that day, I reached out to Expedia, who told me the refunds must be approved by hotel manager “Bob”. And they were going to talk to him and ask for the refund. Of course, now Bob is refusing to refund the 2nd night because he didn’t deem my reasons to check out early to be valid. He, or his staff never bothered to check on me, but the Expedia sent me a survey wanted to know how satisfied I was with my stay. Well, I’ll be glad to share my experience with them and other potential guests.

In their defense, I am assuming they are in the process of refreshing/upgrading. I was disappointed not knowing the exercise and pool area was closed. Signs of "wet paint" and similar decorated the lobby, floors, doors, elevator....I appreciate the warning, at least. First time up the elevator, door would not open causing a quick rush of panic. I pressed the 3rd floor button again and it opened. The carpeting is old and stained. Access to the hotel can be difficult, and at night, the building is poorly marked. Lots of room for improvement, but (like I said) it seems they are working on it.

As a truck driver leaving one company and shifting to another was such a headache. The peace and quiet was what did it for me.i love owners like this as they go above and beyond to welcome all guest. Place is clean, fitness area , pool, and literally by all the food places. Highly recommend. Will return myself also truck parking near and at BK.

Nasty hotel. Booked thru Hotels.com. When I arrived to hotel I noticed that the cleanliness was not up to average. And when you enter the elevator, it's by far the nastiest. Carpet throughout entire hotel is filthy. The room, bedsheets stained and unclean, bathroom towels stained and extremely wore out, carpet stained and dark and dirty, mismatched furniture. The tv stand was a night dresser with so many chips of paint. The overall experience was NASTY. I checked in at 3PM and was out by 4PM. Just enough time to walk the hotel get too room and check back out. Oh. And dont forget the mildew smell throughout the hotel.

The staff was nice , but that’s not why we stayed here. We booked this hotel far away from home because of the pool and breakfast they claimed to have. But when we arrived we found out that the pool has been closed and we were not able to use it. And the all you can eat breakfast is ,packaged hunny buns. And when we went to get those and some coffee in the morning , there wasn’t any coffee or hunny buns left. The room was clean and a decent size but the smell of weed reeked all over the hotel, which didn’t bother me but it definitely will bother people who don’t smoke. The smell lingered throught the whole building . This hotel really disappointed the family and I. We stayed here for the awesome things they claimed to have but I was very very disappointed. Once again the Staff was very nice and I don’t think this is there fault , but my expectations for this hotel because of their claimed pool , and all you can eat breakfast were high and I got let down.

Fair price but the room had food on the walls, carpet was not cleaned nor vacuumed. Air conditioner worked but very loud. Nothing was wiped down. Also, was told I could do late checkout, but choose not to and was told I could get the difference if I decided not to stay, but choose to keep half Bc it seems like they scam people. Will not return or recommend anyone here.

Can’t expect much from a cheap hotel, decent sized rooms, surprisingly it was quite clean. Just here for a night as I prepare for my new trucking job. It’s nice to stay in a hotel instead of in my rig.

Staff seemed to be working hard and were very helpful. But ... carpet, other furnishings in sore need of replacement.

I’m town for work. A friend of mine got a weekly rate for $100 cheaper than the price I am paying for the same exact room. Be careful you don’t get ripped off like he did me. Also pool closed due to the made up Covid 19 virus.

It's just terrible, nasty, and un clean throughout. The lobby dirty, elevator rug filty, including the walls inside. My room was so nasty I had to ask for another. All furniture was just ridiculous, full of dirt or broken, and should be burned and definitely removed from all rooms. I wouldn't recommend this place to a dog. My room had what looked like fresh blood on the walls and carpet with other stains throughout. See my photos you decide.

Room very dirty. Shower head broken and virtually unusable. Tub drain stopper broken. No anti slip tread in tub. Yes it is slippery getting into. Water too hot, unable to adjust down. Leg missing on refrigerator. Fridge falls forward when you try to use it. Broken safety latch on door.

The pool was closed. She couldn’t give me an answer of when it would be reopened, but there is no water in the pool you could tell it’s undergoing remodeling you get a breeze where the air conditioner is in the wall from outside you could feel the cold air.

It was very nice to stay there very clean, new furniture remodeled, very hospitable, and as a truck driver coming off the road it is a great feeling to come to a clean room, clean shower and awesome beds

"Motel" with Hotel pricing. The pool is CLOSED, if that's what's swaying you to choose this location. Carpets look like they haven't been cleaned since the place opened. The room was technically "clean", but to the bare minimum. Furniture was falling apart and looked like it was sourced from a rummage sale.

If you want to save money and don't mind staying 1 night in a rundown motel that has bad smells then enjoy your stay. Other than the smells from what other people do in their rooms like smoke marijuana, I think the worst part is the chemical smell from whatever cleaning agents they do use in particular areas. It's definitely the cleaning materials that give it that cheap motel smell. At the bare minimum a paint job in the room would have made a big difference!

The front desk gentleman was nice however the beds are practically on the floor, the elevator smelled like cigarette smoke and no hot breakfast just coffee and a hunny bun and that was if they have any left. The carpet looks nasty in the hallway as well in the elevator. I called priceline to see if they would at least give me me my money back so my family could go to a different hotel but they were very rude and only offered me a 10% discount on my next stay. I will just book through the website from now on. If you like a run down, smoke smelling, no hot breakfast hotel then this is the place for you.

Staff was very friendly and nice to talk to... but unfortunately that was the best part... the beds in our room were hard as a rock, but the room was clean so that was a plus...the pool was not open and the breakfast was just coffee and juice the honey buns were gone by the time we got down there at 9am...

Staff was kind, check in was fast, but the smoke-free room we booked left much to be desired. Our room was clean, however smoke odors permeated the elevator, entire floor where we stayed and at times seeped into our room as well. That smell was the only truly unpleasant thing I've encountered so far. Everything else was otherwise tidy and clean. Will update after checkout.
