This is an unusual place that will make you appreciate the history and human ingenuity. It's an extraordinary place that will make you go down the stairs to reach the river. Only for people in a good shape! The gardens are nice and offer good views around the city. It's a shame that the house itself is in ruins and cannot be visited. I wish it had been renovated and reconstituted to its past glory.

We really enjoyed this experience. Beautiful views and the trip down the well is worth it. Word of caution: steps are numerous, uneven and can be wet and it's a bit of a haul back up, but again worth it. The cold beer at their bar tasted pretty good after the well!

Not worth the €10,- charged, house is in state of decay and cannot be visited. Small garden, trip down the water mine is nothing special no descriptions or whatsoever. If you take the free walking path across you have better views and experience.

€10 euros seems very steep to walk down a very steep wet damp staircase to the river. The audio guide doesnt work for iPhones or up to date android so we couldnt access it and there is very limited information around. The terraced garden is ok but not well maintained and the house dilapidated.

Price is 8 euro's and not worth it. You can be up and down in 1 hour. Garden in one of the worst maintained i have ever seen. Algae in foutain like it has not been cleaned for years. Dead plants in pots. Downstairs you can find empty bins, rusting there for years, branches lying there long time. Walking in Ronda itself is a way better alternative and free.

The watermine is a very special sight and worth to climb the stairs down to the bottom of the canyon The Palazzo is closed but there is a beautiful garden with a great Bar/Restaurant. The entrance costs 6€, in my opinion totally worth it and will be one of the main sights of the city in a few years when the rest of the place is opened.

Great gardens and a deep mine to visit. Wear good shoes and prepare to huff and puff on way back up

The garden views of the gorge are great. But go down the water mine, the views from the bottom were great. Listen to the explanation on your phone with a Site you are given. They allowed our dog in. The House of the Moorish King of Ronda , Spain , is a monumental complex with a long history that begins in the 14th century and reaches up to the 20th century. It is made up of three parts: a water mine from the Muslim period, a neo-Mudejar style house and a garden designed by Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1943.

Among all the 2.5-5 euros attractions in Ronda, I’m expecting more out of this 10 euros spot. However, it turns out to be an utterly disappointment. First of all, I saw signs of audio guide everywhere but there wasn’t any audio guide presented or suggested when I was there. People were climbing up and down just to see a pool of shallow dirty river water. Not to mention it was slippery at some corners of the staircase. I was risking to break my knee just to see an empty stone chamber with a sign saying “secret room” and another saying “treasure room” without any secret, let alone treasure. Not even a few description lines were found in between the ceiling and the floor. I was totally clueless. On top of that, there was nothing in the garden except for three peacocks strolling around. And they were drinking water from a very dirty fountain pool on a scorching hot afternoon. I felt so bad for them. The view from the garden is not better than the view you can see for free from a lot of free view points.

Beautiful place to visit and one of the overseen highlights in Ronda! It's definitely colder in the mine just to chill down from the heat!

Pretty nice. It looked nice down there. The stairs were perhaps a little steep, but we managed well. There are also crabs in the water that are worth looking at! It's nice. It looked nice in the bottom. The stairs were a bit steep but we survived! There were also prawns in the water!

Overpriced without bathroom. The place is not well maintained and looks abandoned We paid 26 euros to walk in the patio of the house and they don’t even have bathrooms for customers

Too little for 8.00 euro ticket. Cash only. Unsafe, dark, slippery steps... many steps, no SOS button there. Audio guide didn't work there... Thanks God there was toilet room on site.

Very cool experience! You have to make it down to the bottom to experience the beauty of the water wheel! It's also great for bird watching. I spotted a golden finch and tons of pigeons whom were living their best lives.

Interesting view from the bottom of the ravine, the stairs are not as difficult as we thought.

Beautiful serene and shady garden. The walk down to the water mine and beyond to the rio at the bottom of the gorge, is worth it. Avoid the cafe, they serve up semi frozen microwaved food and pretend not to understand your complaint. Chicken, by the way - @#€%^ lethal!!, as Gordon would say.

The Mine is quiet impressive. Download the audioguide. It gives a whole new perspective on the place and reveals some unexpected secrets :)

Amazing place, gives another perspective of the city and really delves into the history of Ronda, came here last year and was breathtaken by the views of the canyon and the city above. It is quite a trek going up and down all the steps but well worth it for the result. The entrance to the mine is very grand and have a beautiful garden you can walk around, very close to hotels and many other facilities the city offers

It was interesting place to visit. Maybe a-bit too short and price could be lower.

Beautiful place to visit. We have visited Ronda before but wanted to see something different to our last day trip so we chose La Casa del Rey Moro. We came at the end of July when it was hot weather, here is a nice escape from the heat as it is cool and shady. Surprisingly the walk down to the water mine is very cool too as it is through the building and all undercover so it is fine to do in the summer. it is a bit of a walk down but not too far and well worth it to see something different. Also the view from the bottom looking back up at Ronda is great to see. An hour here is plenty of time to allow.

We came here as it was rated as one of the top things to do in Ronda. You have to be ready to go up and down the stairs, we were told 200 steps, and if you're up for it, you'll have a view from the Tajo like no other as you'll be standing in a metallic platform at the bottom of an excavated mine. There is an audio guide explaining the history of the place included. The garden is ok but not very impressive as there are better ones in Andalusia. There is also a balcony with views to the Cuenca gardens. The ticket was 8€per person but if you are going to a couple of places to visit our will be better if you get the Ronda attraction card for 12€.

A adventures must see! I recommend the Audio tour, its a good historical story.

Not worth 10€ at all. The view is the same from the other side of the river, which is free. The garden is pretty small and the way down the mine has no information and nothing special. Once you get down there, you can take a look at the river, but that’s all. Plus the trip took around 30min
