In
January
2021,
I
visited
Nairobi
animal
orphanage,
which
is
located
at
the
entrance
of
Nairobi
national
park.
It
is
a
very
interesting
centre,
especially
for
families
with
children,
where
you
can
see:
-
cheetahs,
leopard,
lions
with
cubs,
African
wild
dog,
stripped
hyenas,
monkeys,
birds.
-
zookepers
feeding
animals
You
can
learn
a
lot
of
information
about
the
rescued
animals
(age,
where
they
were
found,
their
way
of
life…).
If
you
can
want,
you
can
ask
for
guided
tours,
or
ask
for
additional
information
to
the
keepers,
who
are
very
friendly
and
knoledgeable.
We
were
very
lucky
to
meet
the
keeper
Lawrence,
who
is
enthusiastic,
fond
of
lions
and
very
happy
to
tell
you
all
you’ve
ever
wanted
to
know
about
these
animals
The
aim
of
Nairobi
animal
orphanage
is
to
release
in
the
wildness
the:
1)
adult
animals
after
they
have
undergone
therapy
successfully
(which
is
not
always
possible
depending
on
the
severity
of
injuries);
and
2)
orphans
after
they
become
adult
and
able
to
survive
alone.
Unfortunately,
it’s
not
possible
to
release
some
animals
in
the
wildness
in
all
cases,
as
some
animals
have
had
severe
injuries,
and
are
no
more
able
to
hunt
alone
in
the
wildness.
The
animals
are
not
stressed
and
kept
in
very
healthy
conditions;
all
of
them
live
in
parks
that
are
very
clean
adapted
to
them.
For
example,
all
big
cats
have
places
to
hide
in
the
grass
and
houses
(where
they
can
protect
against
rain
if
necessary),
for
example
the
cheetah
called
“PJ”
has
a
small
house
where
he
can
rest,
the
leopard
called
“Talek”
has
a
tree
where
he
can
climb.
The
work
of
the
keepers
and
the
veterinary
is
crucial
and
huge
for
wild
animal
survival
and
re-introduction
in
the
wildness.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
When
you’ll
come
in
Nairobi,
I
HIGHLY
recommend
to
visit
Nairobi
animal
orphanage,
allowing
you
to
have
a
wonderful
experience
and
to
support
the
team
in
continuing
their
fantastic
work.
I’ll
come
back!!!
