The stay was brilliant. Service excellent, staff super friendly and helpful. Venue and wedding, beyond what I could have asked. Management and Accounts Departments, they could do better with explaining and being clear upfront on things that are truly in the quote and not, empower your staff better to serve people better. We are done with “I am the boss and do as I say”, staff are partners and are on the ground, empower them to serve your clients better, don’t hamstring them with unwanted procedures. Otherwise, I will recommend the venue to anyone! 🙌🏾

The venue was absolutely beautiful. The surroundings and nature presence is exquisite. The people are extremely friendly and helpful. Big thank you to Kgomotso, Marcia and Noddy for making our stay memorable. It's individuals like yourself that can transform a stay to something magical. The wedding team are efficient and effective. The wedding venue is prepped for every function and always ahead of schedule. Rooms can be cleaner and bedding should be changed more frequently, only issue we had was dirty sheets which they changed the next day upon request.

I attended the lost magical wedding here. We stayed 2 nights, the first night was terrible as the bedding was soiled. Noddy at reception assisted in ensuring this issue was taken care of for the next evening. 5/5 for venue as the Gardens are beyond illuminating , the deco - stunning, food - delicious, DJ - joyfully entertaining. 3/5 for room cleanliness , we hardly slept the first night as the bed wasn’t cleaned. Hair on the sheets, bedding had so many marks, definitely wasn’t washed prior to check in. The bedding was changed the next day , though the green blanket, and deco cushions were still the same. As far as I know standard hotel procedure should allow ALL bedding to be washed prior to all new check ins!!

Very seldom do I give a place 5 star rating for everything. Friendly receptionist that booked us all in quickly and professionally. The rooms were amazing. Our breakfast was delicious. Our conference facilities were first class. Our Snacks in the facility were fresh and tasty. Lunch was delicious and well presented. What a great venue to have a conference.

Wow wow wow. The place is awesome. One would think they are out of the country only to realize that this beautiful place is right on my door step. The friendly staff and the owner, well prepared food, wow music by the DJ!!! The ladies bathroom beautiful it looks like a hotel room itself. I have advertised and recommended to my friends. As for me I am definitely going to go back.

This is the best venue you can ever find. Their service is amazing and they made my wedding the best and stress less day any bride can have. We held my Mom's Life Celebration at the Garden Venue and we couldn't have chosen a better place. It's not an easy thing to plan as there are many emotions involved but Simba and the team at the Garden Venue took all the worry and stress out of the organizing. They handled everything from start to finish. The staff were professional and courteous on the day and the Life Celebration went off without a hitch. Received many compliments from the guests on how lovely the venue was and how delicious the food was. Definitely a venue to consider for any type of celebration! They make it easy.

I hosted my 21st birthday party at the venue. We had a little communication difficulties with the team, however managed to resolve it. We really had so much fun. Thank you so much to everyone that helped us make the day a success. However, I was also not too impressed with the decor and the food, I would have really like to taste the food before the event. Please allow food tasting for parties as well. Overall, everything was okay. It wasn't too bad but they need to improve a little more on hosting parties.

Kea and her team were absolutely amazing. They went over and above on our requirements. We were treated like royalty the day of the wedding. I am so happy that they were our team taking care of us on my daughter's wedding day 9 March 2023.

The food is excellently prepared and served in an organized manner, none of our guests complained about the food. The cocktails are sooo pretty and the bar menu very decently priced. The staff is professional and friendly, very warm and welcoming. They had definitely executed my wedding ceremony and reception to perfection, we are so grateful to Asa, Faith and their team. The rooms are not as great as we had expected. The suite was beautifully decked with rose petals, candles and champagne. Service is definitely not an issue, however, our bath tub had a leak and the hot water was not warm. I found a living cockroach! In the honeymoon suite 😖 and spiders in the bathroom. We received 2 plates of food from the wedding buffet but we had no microwave to heat up our dinner🙆. Then the complimentary room has no windows for ventilation and there was a musty damp odour in the room. The scenery is stunning very lively yet tranquil.

We had our surprise wedding here a year ago. We were given a complimentary nights stay on our 1st year anniversary which is today. ❤️ Firstly I would like to thank our manager Charmaine who helped us arrange our nights stay to relive the magical memories we had on our wedding day. From entering the gates to leaving every person handles with so much passion and effort taking care of your neediest needs. The food is worth cheating on any diet! Being here makes you forget your life outside the gates. The beautiful gardens are so vibrant with colour and life, so peacefull to enjoy with your loved one. The gardens are green all year round such as my love proclaimed for my loved one a year ago on these grounds Thank you guys for making us feel and experience love and joy ❤️

Had my brothers wedding there. The one room we booked for special guests had cockroaches in. The food, which we had pre-tasted months before, was nothing like what we tasted on the day, especially the dessert which was bland and tasteless. Also, the canapés and drinks for guests ran out even though they knew the number of guests. The waiting staff are not trained for hospitality. The wedding couple asked for white dahlias at their wedding. The venue said this was possible. On the day they only had white roses. They didn't communicate this in advance. Very unprofessional. The wedding venue promises a lot but delivers very little on the day. They don't expect you to check the finer details on your wedding day but slyly rush things, knowing that you be too pressured on your day to change anything. Save yourself the stress and stay away.

We are planning to have our wedding at this venue and the review will update in line with our experience. From the start the staff were prompt, professional and pu punctual. The grounds are well kept and everything lends to a very tranquil experience. Service is quick and clean.

Great venue for big functions and year ends. Was there 2 weeks ago. Really nice setup. Good food. Service can be better though. Bar and food organization wasn't great for our big group. Beers and soft drinks were never cold and it was a really hot day. Didn't stay over. Can't comment on the rooms.

This place was such a surprise, when you approach from outside you have no idea what lies behind gate. To say breathtaking is an understatement, the team that put together my event, Kevin was excellent. Small touches, the communication throughout really puts you at ease that you are in good hands. Thank you for making our dream wedding come true! We requested very unique decor and the Olive Tree team patiently sourced all we were looking for. On the day, our wedding co-ordinators anticipated what we needed and ensured we were enjoying every single minute of our special day! The food was so delicious, everyone went back for seconds. They have great service, the staff here are very friendly and thoughtful. They try to get you as comfortable as possible. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It had limited options but all so delicious and very warm. Definitely recommend it if you just want to get away for a day or two, or for some alone time.

we had our wedding at The Olive Tree Hide on the 23rd of December. it was beyond our expectations. Blessings, Faith and Jennifer made our day so special and we were treated like royalty. Thabani our DJ was an absolute pleasure to deal with. thank you TGV for an awesome wedding. the food was incredible!!! everyone complimented the delicious food.

The venue is fantastic. The food is great. The service is a little above average. We had a great time and would go back. There are small things that need attention. The bathroom door in our room would not close. The staff were not the friendliest when we arrived. The var staff looked very bored. The guest wifi is not working. Small attention to detail is missing.

I had my wedding there on the 24th of September 2023 and it was stunning. We were running behind schedule, because life happens, but they were so patient and understanding. I was not rushed, they periodically kept checking up on me; if I needed anything, they went above and beyond to make it available to me. The planning was smooth, they were more than willing to bring my dream to life and they nailed it. The food was delicious, the staff dedicated and committed. The decor as we had discussed with a beautiful surprise element. I really got the princess treatment on my special day. I’d get married at The Garden Venue over and over again.

I recently had my 21st at the Garden Venue Hotel. It was truly an great experience. From the decor, to the food and the bar. Sakhile and his team were truly amazing in their dedication to making my 21st birthday one to remember. I commend them for their service and I am truly for all they've done for me.

I had my 35th Birthday party at The Garden Venue on 11 June. The venue itself is really stunning. The different venues, furniture, art and decor pieces really make it special. I had my party in the conference center in the Zanzibar venue. The planning with Sakhile was great and organized well in advance. The team leading up to and on the day gave us really amazing service. My guests and I were happy with the day and how it went.

After searching through several event venue options in Johannesburg, I came upon The Garden Venue - needless to say, I was beyond impressed and delighted at my choice. The venue itself was stunning, the rooms and catering fantastic, and the service, just incredible. Assisted by Carlos and Munya, I was treated to a level of professionalism I have rarely encountered elsewhere. In helping me plan for and coordinate an important event, they were helpful, knowledgeable, and kind, and ensured that I was not only satisfied with the experience but also comfortable throughout my entire stay and excited to host a group there. The personal touch from them, and the other staff I encountered, was very much appreciated and allowed me to be at ease. I would recommend The Garden Venue to anyone and everyone - for a relaxing stay or event, big or small - and will undoubtedly be returning soon.

On behalf of myself and my husband, Jason we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Garden Venue for the most outstanding assistance and coordination of our wedding. I just cannot begin to describe the fairytale wedding they created for me. I mean every girl wants the perfect wedding and I got mine. I experienced the most kind-hearted staff and from day one of looking at my potential wedding venue I knew there was just something about this place that made me decide to have my wedding there. On a special note my wedding coordinator Faith was amazing and made sure everything was in place from the day of booking until my wedding until the end of our reception and of course making our honeymoon suite just so romantic. Faith, without you my anxiety levels would have been high but you helped me keep through the whole process. I also believe she has a baby so making extra time for me just proves her passion for creating perfect weddings for beautiful brides. Blessing our floor manager was a real blessing. She even managed to get Jagermuister off my dress after a slight accident. All the staff were incredible. I just want to thank everyone at The Garden Venue for treating me like a queen and making my whole wedding from start to finish a magical one. I will be seeing you in the future for either a baby shower or a gender reveal. I will definitely recommend you in the future to anyone who wants to be blown away by magic at their own wedding.

The venue is excellent!! However the staff is very disrespectful. I had my sons christening there , food was good , venue was clean . Coordinator was not there as promised, therefore the event didn’t really plan out as expected. I called in the following morning to find out what went wrong , coordinator has blocked me , manager has not called me back as promised( FYI I am still waiting)(10 days later). Honestly speaking I regret spending my hard earned money at this place !

Had my baby shower at the Garden Venue. The decor was absolutely beautiful. The food was nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. A special shout out to Sam for helping me with the planning and, Brenda who brought the vision to life. Truly appreciate it. Thank you.

Everything was perfect. We got everything we asked for and more. No nasty surprises, no weird funny business. We had someone attending to us the whole time we were there and catering to our every need. Our co ordinator Mr Stanford made sure that everything ran smooth and assisted us best he could at any given time. Food was amazing, decor was spectacular and a great atmosphere overall.

We had our year-end awards ceremony at the Garden Venue. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful and others not so much. The waiter did not know what ice tea was. Food was good! Nice vibe, the venue is different from other venues seeing that it is an inside outside type of vibe.

Had a graduation party for 40 people. The only thing I can mention is the food. It was excellent but I expected some braai type of meat with pap also 😋🥩🍗 😀 Think about adding such a menu. However the venue was impressive. Standards very high. Service excellent. Help in preparation 1st class. Good job Emilia, Simba and team.

I did not look far for my Golden 40th birthday celebration on 30th Jan 2021. The Garden venue BH was perfect to celebrate a Queen that I am. I want to mention that I was initially a bit upset when I realized that at sales point, I wasn't given all the information and some of the deco that I requested was not going to be included. Charmaine and Simba assured me that they will do everything to make sure that my event is perfect. Unfortunately the event was canceled due to COVID 19 restrictions. I then worked with Charmaine to look for a new date, 09 October 2021,  and also do the necessary amends. Charmaine - thank you for trusting your team and and your assurance that all will go as I have requested. To Simba, thank you for paying attention to details, your professionalism and level of service. I only had to ask once for want I needed and you did exactly that if not exceeded. Things went very smooth and  being a perfectionist, I could not find anything to complain about. I appreciate all the extra miles even in the last minutes. My guests were in awe of everything,  they can't stop talking about The venue  and the food.  The say "Reginah we know you are a perfectionist and a planner, but your event displayed all of that in every way". I can't take this credit alone, but you guys made it happen. To DJ Xolie - Rare character for a DJ, down to earth and professional. You did as I asked and Thank you. I wish to extend a huge thank you to The Garden Venue Boutique and it's wonderful staff. My wedding day was a bliss and my husband and I couldn't be happier. VIOLA was our sales lady and first point of contact. She later turned into a sister and friend and I'm blessed to have met her. When my wedding got postponed 2days before our wedding in December 2020 due to the lockdown, she was very supportive and kept in touch throughout the entire time. God bless her soul. Thenjiwe was an angel 😇 not only offered us help with getting our preferred 2nd wedding date, after Juan the GM treated me very badly and insisted on choosing a date that was not suitable for us, he was very rude and impossible to deal with but Thenjiwe came through for us and allowed us to choose a date we wanted..... her humble persona and understanding will always be cherished. Fast forward to 23rd September 2021, Andile was a wonderful host, in fact she deserves a raise due to her friendly, well mannered and professional behavior. She always came by to check on me, always offered assistance and was hands on with everything. Shame, even when my guests were rude to her, she maintained her calm and still helped out with a smile. I could see she was hurt but handled it professionally. She is a great asset and I am grateful for her. Norman was very charming and helpful too, even made sure everyone got served at the time needed. Always attended to our needs and available to assist even with small things. We had a surprise birthday in the Peacock corner, you kind of forget that you are still joburg as peacocks literally make their way around the koi ponds. The ambience is good and I would recommend a nice chilled Sunday lunch. In terms of service would rate a 3-4 stars as the waiters service was slow and we resorted to walking to the bar at times.

I truly have no words as to how grateful I am. Having visited multiple venues during the initial planning stages of our wedding, none had so warmly welcomed us as The Garden Venue. From our first viewing/consultation with Doreen, who just absolutely peeked our excitement with her professionalism and warmth, we knew that we had found our venue. Having to postpone twice due to the changing lockdown regulations, we felt as if our day would never happen. A massive thank you to Constance who just knew what we wanted without us even having to say much. Constance and the whole Garden Venue team made our day spectacular and completely stress free, the best service and attention to detail a bride could dream of. My wedding day will forever be one of my fondest memories not only because I finally got to say I do to my best friend but because those involved in the planning, organizing and co ordinating of the day ensured that every moment leading up to and the day of was just perfect. Truly the best service, venue and food!!!

Review: Wedding of the century!!! The Garden Venue, from the ceremony, to the reception has been the most elegant and comfortable moment of my life. The food was absolutely exquisite both in taste and aesthetic. A big shout out goes to Blessing, Constance and Stanford. I have never experienced such amazing organization and coordination between 3 people, like this before.

The Garden View Team that was assigned to us was the best team I have ever worked with. Asa our Event planner made sure we didnt miss anything for our party. She kept in full contact with us always making sure are on the same page. Our Decor was everything and more, Asa made sure she kept to her word. Our yearend function was fun casual and laid back as we want it to be. Our awards ceremony was by the beautiful chapel with a pond and the walk way that we all loved. The team assigned to us for the day of the event was amazing everything we needed to do they were ready to help and work with us. If you planned to get a good night's sleep this is not the place! I am not even going to mention how beautiful the venue is because the 2 hours sleep that I managed to get is all I have right now. Peacocks have been screeching outside my window since 1.30 non stop it's now 6.30 and I feel like a Zombie. If you can imagine being on a 32 hr flight with an upset baby this is what it feels like. An absolute waste of money to stay here that's if you need to sleep of course 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 if I had left last night the rating would have been higher.... Sad

I had the most wonderful graduation party one could ever dream of at this venue. Emilia, Simba and their team gave us such exceptional service, they made my party a memorable one.Will certainly host more events at the same venue.

I had my wedding on the 1st of October, and prior to the wedding our wedding coordinator was very helpful. She had time for us at any hour of the day. She was open to any new suggestions. Big up to you girl CONSTANCE! On our wedding day, everything was well organised, our guests were treated like royalty, like we wished. Our rooms were beautiful, and the food was wonderful. Even tho it was raining cats and dogs but the staff was there to assist in anything we needed. Venue👌👌.

Best experience of my life. It was a beautiful day, the staff is amazing and friendly. The barmen were super friendly and professional. The waiters were on point and professional. A special thank you to my wedding coordinator Jennifer for her professionalism, kindness, patience and hard work. Ensuring my day went off without a single problem. There are no words to adequately describe how pleased I am with my experience at this venue. The beauty and set up of the arena created the perfect setting for a real party.From take on with Stella till execution with Calvin and Kevin, the staff were so professional and just amazing. Calvin went above and beyond to make the event a success and is an absolute pleasure to work with. The food prepared by Chef Avi and team was absolutely delicious and enjoyed by all.
