The food quality is not good. The service is arguably worse. I'll share more just in case somebody cares... On most visits the food has been fine, not amazing, but you know - Wimpy food, simple and tasty. On my last visit I complained about a sour taste in the patty or bacon on the burger, I couldn't have more than 2 bites of it. Then they stood there like a mob staring at me as if I'm committing some sort of a crime by not loving the burger. The cashier says "no other customers have complained", the manager says "it's the red patty, there's nothing wrong with it" and she looks like she'd rather chew her own arm off than have to deal with a customer. I had a great time on the toilet last night from the 2 bites I did have. So I'd look at those perfectly fine red patties and that bacon if I were you. On a less serious note a tower of pickles were piled on a 3 square cm drop zone as if it's illegal to separate them from each other, or maybe they were super-glued together and despite the griller's best efforts he couldn't strip them apart. We're not dealing with food geniuses here, this team is not following procedure or sticking to food standards. It's dangerous to have people who don't love making food, working on other people's food. I see the light hearted and meaningless Wimpy blurb in response to 5 star ratings, but complaints aren't addressed. The real issue is that there's no love for the customer on the ground at this branch, that's why this place is sitting on 3.8 and slipping. When it comes to service, the waiters are indifferent and focused on their own agenda. When trying to get a waiter's attention it takes ages before eye contact is made, and when you do it feels like you're inconveniencing them. The wet wipe I asked for at this last visit never came. In just under 10min I couldn't get the waitress to look so I can ask for the bill, so I walked myself over to the cashier to get it myself. Place wasn't busy. Just pap. There are some decent waiters here that are the exception, but no team work. It's unfortunate for the few good staff, but the experience is mostly pap. I would be happy to update my review if you guys could turn it around, I get no joy out of leaving a stinky review on someone's feed, but as it stands I'd say #someonecallthehealthinspector. Dangerous game you guys are playing here with this kind of staff who don't seem to have much of a clue about hospitality or food standards.

Too much oil on the steak 😩 and then the cheese burger was tasteless ...not happy with the service too cause we came before some other Indian guy but they served him first because he said he is hungry .....🚯🚯 they too slow they couldn't even add cutlery

I usually always enjoy my experiences at Wimpy...this was one of the exceptions. I waited for about 20mind before I could flag someone down for a drinks order . The coffee order was wrong.. the food cake relatively quickly however was pretty below average. My eggs were not the way I requested and the grilled tomato looked old and dried. They were busy so maybe that could be the reason. I'm not sure

Oh wimpy will always be the place where I will go for my breakfast if I am close to one. People go and try the Farmhouse breakfast it's the best

This is the second time I have come here. (Wimpy in Clearwater mall) And the same thing has happened on both occasions. I get seated and have to wait close to 10 minutes before someone comes and takes our order. This is the worst service I've experienced in all wimpy's. Whilst I type this I am sitting here and the waiting has just arrived after a 10 minute wait after being seated.

Food took too long. First time got dirty glasses and the jug we got was broken. Since we were too hungry to complain left it. This is the first time I never left a tip because I was not happy. The gravy on the hash and gravy, the tomato was not grated properly, the food was still delicious.

When we arrived the music... whatever it was , was so loud we had to ask for it to be turned down. This took a while and seemingly grudgingly turned down after quite a while. Dont know about you but when i sit down for a meal loud music is a disturbance. The waitress was pleasant and did her job well.

Today I am at Wimpy Clearwater mall ,we received our drinks and a dirty glass ,I let that one slide ,now my food arrives and it's a dirty plate ,that was just wiped and with the food on the plate ,I lost my appetite and couldn't even eat ,this js really unacceptable, I've never had such an issue with other wimpy branches.

We visit with my 2 special needs grandchildren & my elderly mum who is in a wheelchair. Our group always experiences top class service as the staff go out of their way to assist. Jane is always especially helpful & greets my mum & the girls with a hug. Varied food, reasonably priced, especially breakfast, well served. The welcome is always warm.

Service was quite slow and staff was quite unpleasant to us. Breakfast was good but average for any Wimpy. Definitely prefer Wimpys in Cape Town.

Don't bother. The waitrons don't listen and then actually full-on argue with you when they bring you the wrong thing. "No you didn't" - what a load of boohockey. Just fix the problem, it is part of your job. In fact, your whole job is to keep a table happy. This is the last thing I want when I go for food, of all things. What crumby attitudes for a customer care role. Not sure who interviews for staff but they're also not doing their job well.

Lovely service today. They were a bit busy, I guess its because people are sick of staying home. But the staff had such good attitude and their service was fast. WELL DONE! Highly recommended and all safety measures are in place re: Covid situation at the moment.
