A nice find if you are into spicy food. Will defiately go back for some tastings. Friendly staff with a nice colorful atmosphere.

We had a fantastic experience. The staff are very friendly and they are well trained. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of all the food. The flavors and presentation was spot on. I am coming back for more. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, give it a visit.

Awesome setting, look and feel of the restaurant is nice... Waiters are friendly and well versed on the menu to explain what the different meals are... Down to the food, awesome presentations great tastes with a multitude of different flavors, pure authentic Indian cuisine...

It doesn't get more authentic than this. The wide variety of south Indian dishes they have on offer is amazing. I would go there any day for a meal cos I miss home so much.

Spiceburg Dosas are exactly what I was searching for. Super thin paper dosas, beautifully crispy and fantastic taste. The pani puri and the Bombay Crush, I loved. The chicken 65 and chicken fry were not exactly what I was expecting, but still good. The husband loved their sheekh kebabs and rumali rotis. There are plenty more items on the menu that we want to try and we will be returning here often for the dosas. Love the seating and the setting. Lots of semi open air space which is fantastic in these Covid times.

Spiceburg brings the heat! One of my all time favourites. Meals are always prepared freshly and are delicious. My favourite is their Garlic Naan. Also, their Butter chicken and chicken korma rocks! The portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced.

Tried out Spiceberg, and must honestly say that their food tastes good. I don't know if the portions are of better quantity when dining in but the takeout order was a bit disappointing compared to the price listed. However this last statement is the reason for the lower rating, and will treat Spiceberg as a place where one will treat your tastebuds instead of being a regular patron.

We visited Spiceburg on Mother's Day so the restaurant was quite busy. Our orders were taken and then it took over 1.5hours for the food to arrive. They were clearly short staffed. There must have been about 200 patrons at the restaurant and there were only 4 waiters. These poor waiters worked endlessly to deliver efficient service but in the end it was too much for 4 people to manage. It is absolutely appalling that the management is so bad and would subject their staff to such abuse. Some of the food was cold when it finally arrived. Although I enjoyed the food, the waiting and service was so bad. Please improve your management.

It is one of the best Indian restaurants around Johannesburg. My wife and I return here monthly to enjoy the amazing food and excellent service. Whether you are sitting down and getting a takeaway, Spiceburg has never disappointed. Coming from a person who has been eating Indian food all their life, i would totally recommend.

Excellent food. Superb service. Always welcoming. At this stage the staff know my daughter's order as she walks in the door.

We had a wonderful time and the staff were warm and friendly. Of course the food is the best and we would highly recommend this restaurant.Ivan was the perfect host and he gave some great recommendations in food choices. If you want to actually eat within less than 2 hours, don’t order from here! I called 3 times, got no answer, and finally had my Uber driver go inside and get a manager. Two hours later! Suddenly my food is on the way in 3 minutes. I’ll be posting again if it isn’t to die for as this is unacceptable. The restaurant is slow already when dining in, but my advice- never order for delivery unless you do so 3-4 hours early. Pathetic!

Thank you for your consistently amazing food and service. Had a slight delivery mix up but never have i ever had a personal call from the chef to rectify the situation. I will highly recommend every dish i ever tried. Tip: start at the top and work your way down. You will never be dissapointed.

I’m not an Indian food expert but from my brief experience this is by far one of the best Indian restaurants in Johannesburg in terms of food. It is not a very nice or fancy vibe, but the service is quite good unless they are full and there is load shedding, in which case the kitchen becomes slow. Prices are fair too.

Consistently outstanding in every way. The food is authentic and made with love, you can taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients and the staff are lovely. Everything I've ever ordered has been delicious.

I am from southern place of India and like food with more spice added with masala not with sauce. Taste was good but not as per my expectation. Even the Tandoori chicken taste was so disappointed with lots of sauce added in it as it fully dropped the taste of Tandoori.

Food is very good..and service also fine.but the waiters forced us to tip them a lot and this is not the first time its every time

Very spacious restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff however I found the service to be a bit slow. We were seated for half an hour and the complimentary dish was not served. Drinks also took a while and only 2 tables were occupied then. We had the prawn Tikka Masala and the Tali with Prawn Madras. For us The food was above average but not excellent as certain dishes in the tali lacked flavour including the Prawn Madras. I would recommend the Malabar Roti and the vermicelli desert.

Love Spiceburg. The staff and management are amazing. My partner and i have lots of our functions there, we have never been disappointed. The manager Ivan is very friendly and helpful and makes sure that everyone gets the best service.

Great restaurant. Good location, good decor, good prices. Great food, great staff, very nice vibe. Food for vegans and not, everybody eats well at Spiceburg.

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Excellent service, beautiful design, incredible food. The best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. Extremely reasonably priced. The garlic Naan was lovely. The paneer korma was incredible.

Great food if you interested on the Indian cuisine

The place is great, the service and food are awesome.

We count on Spiceburg for our local curry. Pepper Gobi is to die for but better to eat in the restaurant than take away, just to get the crispness to support the wonderful flavour. After trying many curry houses in and around our area Spiceburg remains our favourite and go to spot. Vegetarian dishes are always great and my best is their butter chicken. Sadly, portions and heat can vary depending on current chef but no less or more than other independents we've tried. Spiceburg still gets my five stars and I highly recommend

Love the food usually, but tonight NOT so much! our prawn Tikka masala still had tail shells!!! Not happy.. Unsure if this is how they serve it usually.. But not very user friendly

Absolutely amazing food. Prices are great especially considering the portions. I often have to take my left overs home with me because I just don't have enough room. There isn't much else to say.

The best Asian cuisine in town

Food was excellent! We ordered the masala dosa, tandoori chicken which came with salad and chips, garlic Naan, kerala fish fry and a chicken fry also came with salad and chips.....everything tasted amazing. We ordered a medium heat level. The food did take a bit long to prepare but it was definitely worth the wait. The chicken fry was definitely my favourite. Great service by the staff as well. I didn't take a picture ofbthe fish as it came last, but it was a whole fish a blue marlin and extremely tasty with crispy curry leaves and papadum shavings on top.

Such a lovely experience being here. I am very surprised at how quite the space was when I went. The staff are incredible and the food is amazing. The space is also really beautiful and open. Loved being there and loved the food. Will definitely be back
