A truly exceptional restaurant. Excellent food, both classical and more contemporary dishes executed with precision. The atmosphere is great, the service professional and the kitchen is fast. Quite easily the best steakhouse in South Africa.

Contrary to a normal grill house, the muscles and snails were by far superior to the main course grill. If you do have anything off the grill, I do suggest a sauce as it can be bland. The waiters are attentive and always there in an instant. Drinks were on the average side, but a good variety. Overall a good atmosphere, but is on the pricey side. Enjoyed a fantastic dinner. Ordered Beef Ribs and Chicken Schnitzel as the mains. The ribs was definitely a winner! Absolutely love the decor and atmosphere of The Grillhouse.

Are you looking for a stylish, clean, serene restaurant with delicious food? For a date or intimate conversations with friends perhaps? - I highly recommend The Grillhouse Rosebank! The service : When I read the reviews I thought some patrons had exaggerated the service they received. They didn't! The moment we arrived we were treated with so much respect and importance. They have the best staff who listen carefully to your requests and make very helpful suggestions/recommendations. Interestingly, all staff were male and they work together like a well oiled German machine. I generally prefer being assisted by women but I was left so impressed. I rate the service at 7 star! The food: Very deliciously made and well presented. The portions are big enough. The only complaint from my side was that the basting was a lot and too salty for my liking in both my starter and my partner's. So when we ordered the main we avoided the basting. They don't have a cocktail drinks menu but they do make the popular ones and they come out very delicious. The prices were very ideal for an upmarket restaurant in Rosebank. The place: Clean with comfortable sitting and views. Soft and matured music in the background. The bathrooms are very upmarket and super clean!

The lemon and herb snails were a wonderful starter. A colleague raved about his mussels. My main was prawns with both a lemon& herb and peri peri sauce. The sauces were both somewhat watery and the peri peri lacked a bit of a bite. The prawns were fresh and well prepared. Our sirloin eater had a fantastic cut and the fillet on the bone also got the nod. Attentive service from friendly staff. On departure we immediatelly rebooked to return with colleaugues.

Awesomeness in a space with food fit for a king!!! Do yourself a favour and do NOT leave Joburg without a meal at The Grillhouse, Rosebank. You will drive back from any part of the country just to taste these super scrumptious steaks again.

This is probably the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. Visited twice on a trip to Johannesburg. Food, service and ambience is amazing. Would absolutely recommend.

Really great restaurant. Their steak is some of the best I've tasted in my life. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

The food was outstanding! Good portions too! House wine was not bad. Prices of sparkling water is a bit crazy but the prices for everything else was very reasonable.

Had a nice two course meal here. Suggest trying the bone marrow and Halloumi for appetizer. Nice fresh bread provided when you sit. Had the fillet on bone and a striploin for mains with four sides, good value and good sized portions, felt it was all a bit bland. Service was excellent. Don't think its a 4.6 rating, more like a 4.

Always a fantastic experience at the Grillhouse Rosebank. The prices are fair and the quality is always top notch. Staff can sometimes be a bit overwhelmed but nothing too serious. The thing I love most about the Grillhouse is that they will cook your meal for you any which way you want with little to no questions asked. For me, as a meat "heathen" this is perfect. The ostrich medallions are always a winner.

Came here for an early dinner and had the beef fillet on the bone and the beef platter, with sides of sweet potato chips and veg. Both were good value for the amount of meat provided. The rub on the beef fillet was excellent - no sauce needed. My main complaint is that my steak was not cooked correctly - I asked for medium and it was medium rare, close to rare. For a restaurant that specializes in high end grilled meat, I expected better.

I am not sure why we dressed so colourful during a recent visit to The Grillhouse Rosebank but we owned it! 🥳 I had Hallomi cheese and @SirNoid had the Bone Marrow for starters. Both were great! I chose the Fillet on the bone with mash and vegetables (didn't get a picture of the pumpkin smiling sorry!) which was delicious but I took most of it home as it was simply too much. @SirNoid stuck with his favourite cut, Rib Eye. Both were rare as requested and full of flavour. As a side note, I've had the Salmon not so long ago and it is also highly recommended. We were a bit boring with Dessert but with the current state of the heat down in Africa... Ice cream and chocolate sauce... Hit all the right spots. We always have Cappuccino to end a meal. 😊 Food is always great at The Grillhouse At Rosebank and I love that the Staff has clearly been there for many years. I do find the plating quite boring but it is on point with classic, dark wood, Steakhouse vibes. 300g Fillet with roast veggies + butternut. Steak was cooked very well (medium). Was tender and full of flavour. Dessert was a condensed milk and raspberry ice cream loaf. Dessert sounds too sweet but the raspberries broke it up and it was very nice.

DELICIOUS!! A exquisite experience! As a local reviewer I look for something special something different with amazing food. This was a great experience! Food : - We had delicious bread 🍞 made by the grill house as a light snack. - Main meal, I decided to go with a chicken schnitzel which was really nice ! I found the flavour rich however it just didn’t feel big enough. - Potato wedges were great ! Dessert 🍨 was a chocolate brownie which was truly DELICIOUS! It felt so smooth and was sweet but also dark chocolate, a large compliment of flavours within the dish. Atmosphere : - Relaxing. - Classy and special. - Feels more formal. Management : (Manager on site) - Absolutely superb service from the waiter (Ben) Manager on duty making sure everything is done correctly. Overall it was a great experience! I have not had any dissatisfaction from this restaurant.

Absolutely superb service! We went there twice and a week apart. The service was amazing. We were blessed with the same waiter who was extremely friendly and professional. Our entire dining experience was lovely. This is proper fine dining.

If it costs 1 person to eat steak in Korea, 4 people can eat enough here. The atmosphere is luxurious, the waiters are kind, and above all, the taste of meat is excellent.
