I'm
shocked
that
a
place
this
low
quality
even
exists
in
modern
America.
It
felt
like
something
out
of
a
Russian
slum.
To
start,
let
me
say
that
Mark,
the
guy
working
the
front
desk,
was
pleasant
and
helpful
throughout
every
part
of
our
stay,
including
my
request
for
a
refund.
A+
service.
That
is
where
the
positives
end.
There
was
a
pack
of
men
in
the
parking
lot
getting
drunk
on
beer,
listening
to
loud
music,
eyeballing
everyone
walking
in,
and
just
generally
making
the
place
feel
unsafe.
There
is
no
elevator,
and
the
stairs
are
of
vastly
uneven
heights,
so
my
kids
tripped
trying
to
navigate
them
(and
I
stumbled
down
one
at
one
point
at
well).
The
room
we
stayed
in
was
a
suite,
with
a
main
bedroom
and
a
connected
second
room
with
a
pull
out
sofa
bed.
The
mattress
on
the
sofa
bed
was
falling
apart
-
I
mean
literally
peeling
into
multiple
layers
and
drooping
seams
on
the
floor.
It
didn't
have
sheets
on
it,
nor
were
there
any
extra
in
the
room,
so
I
had
to
ask
for
some
and
put
them
on
myself.
That
room
had
a
door
leading
to
the
hallway
which
was
NOT
a
typical
hotel
door
-
it
was
a
paper
thin
interior
home
door
like
you
might
find
on
a
bathroom
or
closet
in
your
home.
It
didn't
even
have
a
deadbolt,
not
that
it
would
have
mattered
much
because
I
could
have
easily
punched
straight
through
it!
I
did
NOT
feel
safe
having
my
kids
behind
it.
Seems
like
that
may
be
a
code
violation,
but
what
do
I
know?
Speaking
of
possible
code
violations,
there
was
an
unprotected
and
ugly
jumble
of
cables
on
the
wall
(appeared
to
be
phone
cables?).
How
unprofessional
can
you
get?
The
bathroom
door
didn't
fit
the
frame,
so
there
was
a
large
gap
at
the
top.
Inside
the
bathroom
we
found
the
floor
was
sticky
and
made
your
shoes
squelch
and
stick
when
you
walked
on
it,
plus
the
whole
room
smelled
strongly
of
pee.
There
was
a
used
bar
of
soap
in
the
shower
from
a
previous
resident.
The
room
had
no
free
outlets
to
plug
your
phone
into,
only
the
alarm
clock
and
lamp
extension
outlets
which
were
connected
to
a
lightswitch
so
you
could
easily
turn
the
outlet
off
on
accident.
The
seals
on
the
wall
air
conditioners
were
in
such
poor
repair
you
could
peer
straight
through
to
the
outside.
The
carpet
was
very
poorly
cut,
leading
to
ugly,
crumb-gathering
gaps
where
it
met
the
walls.
Stains
littered
the
walls,
couch
cushions,
and
floor.
The
room
had
not
been
vacuumed.
The
whole
place
felt
like
they
fired
their
maintenance
and
housekeeping
teams
in
the
90's
and
have
been
trying
to
get
by
with
one
overworked
"facilities
manager"
ever
since.
Really
they
ought
to
fire
whoever
manages
the
place,
and
do
a
full
renovation.
They
have
no
business
charging
the
outrageous
prices
they
do,
comparable
to
the
nearby
Hampton
and
Best
Western,
for
rooms
that
threaten
to
give
you
an
STD
and
a
cigarette
burn
just
for
walking
in
the
door.
Nasty,
nasty,
nasty.
