Food here is really good. Tinga de Pollo has way too many onions, but the chorizo and carnitas are delicious. Tried the tostadas and tacos. Tostadas are good, full of toppings and delicious. The tacos were even tastier and the salsa they offer has a great flavor, not just spicy for the sake of being spicy. This is legit the closest to actually resembling the food I grew up with on the Mexicam border that I've had up here in the MD/DC/VA area. I took a star off because the service wasn't great. Once we had menus, we waited so long to get our order taken that I just went up to the cash register. Then we waited a VERY long time for our food. It took just over 30 minutes from we walked in for our tacos and tostadas to arrive at our table. And we walked up to pay our bill because we weren't sure if a server was ever coming to leave it. And no one ever really greeted us or made sure we didn't need anything. Food was so good that we will come back, but will make sure I'm not already really hungry when I arrive. UPDATE: After hearing from the owner 7 months after my visit, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. The owner is hostile toward any review that isn't 5 stars, even if written favorably. He's made it clear my previous honest review isn't welcome, but I'd warn other potential customers from visiting in case he treats them similarly.

This place is incredible. My wife is from Texas and says this rivals some of the best she has had down there. The owner and staff are really nice. The owner came over and talked to us and told my wife that the next time we come in he can make us extra super spicy hot sauce because my wife used a lot of the hottest sauce they have. 10/10 EDIT: We just came back a few days later because we couldn't help ourselves and he remembered us just from that one visit. He made the sauce for my wife and she absolutely love it. He could tell that we were a little shocked to see that he remembered us and said "people always ask how I remember people and the reason us because I care. If you don't care about the food your making and the people your serving you are going to fail" this place is now a 100/10 in my book

Fiesta Mexicana is a very good Mexican restaurant. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday, and not only was the service prompt, but the food was ready quickly as well. My wife and I split an order of enchiladas, which they were kind enough to bring on two plates as though it were two dishes. They were excellent. The guacamole we ordered to start was quickly devoured. The flan is very nice. The owner is passionate about the food he sells. If I lived closer to this restaurant we would be going a lot more often.

Had the pastor, campechanos and tenga de pollo tacos. I cannot remember ever having better tacos in my life! They have perfect seasoning on the meat, which is very important but goes overlooked often. Very recommended!!!

This was a most wonderful experience that I cannot believe I have missed out on from all my time living in the area. The service was incredible as the owner would check in on us for each course and give some explanation of how he made the dish. You could tell he is very passionate about the food and the culture. Everything we had was absolutely wonderful, from the guacamole to even their coffee. I will most certainly be returning!

Don’t listen to the negative reviews, this is beautifully crafted authentic Mexican food. The owner is very kind and generous and you can tell how much he cares about his customers and the food. Everything we had was so fresh and seasoned perfectly, and I very much appreciated the plentiful vegetarian options. My most recent visit today was my third time here and I am happy to make the 1 1/2 hour journey from Northern VA again and again. Everything is clearly cooked with love. They are doing things the right way and deserve all the success in the world. Thank you for a wonderful experience and God bless the owner and staff.

A little bit torn on this place. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and kind. The food was OK, flavorful, but they tend to overdo on the hot sauce. Use the spice to season, not to drown out the flavors. I don’t know if it was just we were there late on a Sunday night, but the waitress didn’t seem to want to have anything to do with us. Just letting us know to check out at the register instead of understanding, they don’t bring the check to the table, would’ve saved us about 20 minutes. I’m torn on whether or not I would visit here again. Kind owner, but if the weight staff doesn’t really want to be there, I don’t know why they are.

The food here is delicious and prepared with care. The staff is great and really helpful in understanding the menu items. The prices are good too. There was a group of 9 and we all enjoyed are meal.

I’m from Mexico City, and when I’m homesick this is my place to go for food. I feel like at home especially with my Enchiladas de Mole! The owners are very approachable and the bonus is that they have a nice store with Mexican items next to them. Don’t hesitate to stop by and try them.

This place started small and is building to something great. Frederico is passionate about his food that he serves his customers and makes sure you enjoy everything you try. My son and I stopped by for lunch yesterday at the new location that just moved up the road from where they used to be. The food is still great and reminded me that this is one of the best small shops that really works hard and the quality shows. So good. Thank you so much, and we will be back very soon.

Honestly the food is fantastic, with some original dishes you won't find anywhere else as well as traditional dishes prepared in original ways, but the service just about cancels that out. The owner is very personable and loves to visit tables and talk food, but unless he is there no one will welcome you or look happy to see you. Drinks are delivered with the food if at all, and not before. In more than a dozen visits I can't recall anyone checking on us during a meal. Husband routinely orders two drinks because he knows he won't get another. He agrees the food is special but says he can't relax and would rather go where he can relax and be waited on, so I think our dinner visits are over, but we'll be compromising with takeout lunches, as I really love the food. Food 5 stars, service 1 = overall 3 stars.
