Restaurant

👍👍 Nice and clean diner and inexpensive. I ordered the special.. baked pork chop with mashed potatoes and gravy and it was delicious. One trip to the salad bar was included and there were lots of choices plus soup. Our server was very friendly and efficient. My mom just got the salad bar and our total... Ok, this is a brand new business and I do regret not being able to give this place a better rating. I’m a small business supporter. I routinely go out of my way to find and spend my money there, rather than the large restaurant chains. Walking in, there are several home deco pieces on display and for sale. The restaurant seats about fifty and has been renovated. Everything looked clean and ready for customers. I purchased the daily special, a steak hoagie and fries. The price of the special was $6.95, and reasonable, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I found the hoagie lacking. The pizza sauce was quite bland and the cheese was present but minimal. The fries were prepared as requested and a nice serving size. They have a small menu on the table listing items with prices, mostly brisket, prepared and offered in different was. This was what I should have tried but I wasn’t in the mood for anything so heavy. The regular menu offered a nice variety of dining options, again the prices seemed reasonable. They also provide a salad bar with soup and chili. I think, I overheard the waitress state the price was $8.95 and that it was unlimited. I did provide a photo of the salad bar. There were also a variety of deserts for about $3.00/slice. The wait staff consisted of one person. There was no need for more at that time of day. There were only two other tables occupied. Now, before going further, I would like to say I consider myself to be a very positive person, easy to please with reasonable expectations. The wait staff that day was attentive and eager to please, maybe too eager?!? She forgot to provide me with napkins and a place setting until I asked, as my meal was delivered. Really, not a big deal. The issue I had, she was EXTREMELY loud and I could hear everything she said throughout the restaurant, and I forgot my hearing aids that day! She was also just too chipper. I’m hopeful, as she continues to serve she’ll learn to curb her voice level and enthusiasm. That being said, she was very polite. In closing, I’m saying I will give it another try and hope that I’m pleasantly surprised with my next experience. If you enjoy supporting small businesses, try it. I doubt you’d do any better with a meal from a large chain. I do suggest going with an open mind, because they are so new and are in the learning phase. My own goal is to return and have a great experience, providing me the opportunity to write a much more favorable review. Wishing Norm’s much success.

Where do I start? This may be all over the place: All day breakfast non-existent, breakfast bar yes but it’s $15 each for the eggs I gagged on and the most blandest potatoes, biscuits and gravy and old sausage. Kept saying they’d put out new bacon but never did. They didn’t have anything else but salad and applesauce. Applesauce saved me. She threw a glass of creamers onto our table and knocked over my coffee, didn’t help clean it up and just walked away. Our total for $2 was $36. The waitress gave us no time to order, got upset she gave me a dirty spoon just to bring another one with her thumb print on it, felt purposeful. She sat down at our table everytime she came and had a rude attitude. Overall weird and dirty vibes. I can keep going but I’m gonna stop. Just wow.

This was my second time there and I still feel as if there really are not ready. I ordered three different things from menu that they were out of yet they have a list on a white board of things they are out of but none of those things were listed on it - so either list them on board or have them in stock. I ordered biscuits and gravy which I thought was simple enough yet they came out cold. Out of six people three of us had cold food, two had hair in food, one had fuzzy toast (no clue what was on it) and one enjoyed her meal. The atmosphere is nice and they do sell very cute little craft items for a good price.

Great place for a stop and have some all American food including breakfast, country style portions and taste. You will eat and have corn field one stone away!

2nd time customer as of today...my family was rushed to be seated(they weren't busy) The waitress walked up to the table just emanating real bad vibes, I let it it go, until my 12 year old daughter went to order, and asked 2 questions, both times the waitress appearance and response were just plain out right disrespectful and unfriendly. Owner, listen up, you are new business and should not have these types of people and attitudes interacting with customers. A friendly hello, a simple cheerful demeanor goes a real long way. Too bad your food is decent compared to local offerings..but I won't spend a penny of my hard earned money on ridiculousness like your establishment served my family.

Service was great! It has been a long time since a server has spaced my food out accordingly. The food was great as well! I loved the fried pickles!

I ordered the salad bar, potato soup was great, salad was decent, their home made French dressing was unbelievable! My husband ordered the perch to find out they were out so changed to the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, the meatloaf was not the best, and potatoes were bland. But our server was incredible and so friendly. We will be back!
