I love a good independent burger restaurant. I've only been here once, and honestly the burger wasn't as good as I'd expect for a place that focuses on burgers, and the fries were a little plain. Also the sauce wasn't my thing, and it had chunks in it. The inside is nice and welcoming with interesting decor. I'd definitely go back and give it anither chance if I'm in the area.

I am devastated to see that this place has gone drastically downhill. The sauce (my favorite part) was very sweet. I ordered a regular Sumburger and my sister got a Junior - our burgers were the exact same size, I just had a bigger bun. I had to go hunt someone down just for napkins, and they were very stingy with them. There was a huge sign out front about them not having ice cream right now, but it was a professional sign (not hand written)? So they just don’t have it anymore? And the music was so loud that we had to scream at each other. The only decent thing was the fries. I will absolutely not be coming back, total waste of money.

Great Chili Dogs! Although Sumburger is known, of course, for its namesake Sumburger, try their chili dogs. Not too spicy, not too sweet, the chili sauce is just right! The hotdog itself has a nice snap to it and tastes great on its own. In addition to the spectacular chili dogs, we also ordered a bacon cheeseburger platter. If you haven't been to Sumburger lately, the crinkle-cut fries and creamy coleslaw that are standard with platter meals are still as delicious as you remember. The burger and the bacon on the bacon cheeseburger were cooked beyond the point of any juiciness, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, but it was still tasty enough for me to devour the entire sandwich. The dining room is open, and it is large enough to accommodate a lot of diners while still maintaining safe social distancing. The staff is friendly and the restrooms are clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back soon.

The burgers were ok, but my Mac and cheese was literally Kraft out of the blue box. The fries were completely unseasoned, not even salted.

Food is good... But! Came back to drop 2 stars review as my child asked for a refill on a kid's cup of slushy. She's 4 and wanted to ask by herself. The boy behind the counter told her she had to pay more for a refill of slushy. A 4 year old has no concept of money and just wanted a literal cup of slushy!! This is after we just dropped nearly $40 on food, btw! Thanks for being rude to my kid! There's free refills on everything else, though?? That's what you told us when we ordered! 😡 So - 2 stars for customer service and maybe you need more training on how to speak to your child customers.

My husband is from around Chillicothe and anytime we're down this way we HAVE to stop at Sumburger! Miss the Bridge st location because of the car hops but the food is still very delicious 😋!

First time going in to the western ave location was when masks were required by customers but employees wasn’t wearing them so we left because of principal. It was dead in there and so loud not oldies music. Tonight I went back with family. First time having food at this location. Now I know why everyone says it’s not the same. Nothing special about it anymore. The cole slaw was sickening sweet, the sandwich is poor no lettuce anymore even though it says it has it. Just seems constructed differently. Fries was meh mushrooms was good. Always got cool aid but it’s outrageous now. Been my favorite place in Chillicothe my whole life over 40 years. It’s forgettable by a long shot. Sad.

I haven't been to Sumburger since the Bridge Street days. I was pleasantly surprised by the Western Ave location. Nice atmosphere, clean restaurant, friendly staff. Now onto the food. It was the same great Sumburger I remember. You could tell the coleslaw was still made by hand, and the fry portions are still amazing. I would like to point out that i loved the Time to lean, time to clean quote on the wall. I definitely remember that one from my days working there. That gave me a good chuckle and brought back some great memories. Keep up the great work.

Every time I've visited here I've always had great customer service the staff is very nice, and also the food is amazing, I must say hands down one of my favorite places to eat..😆😆❤️
