Probably one of my favorite places I've visited on a vacation. The grounds are very well kept. Everything is manicured perfectly. It's pretty awesome to watch the sentinels that guard the tomb 24/7. Their attention to detail is 2nd to none.

Beautiful! Take the tram tour of the cemetery, stops at 9 stops. Go on weekends or holidays. This is an active cemetery and they can have up to 30 funerals in a day but fewer on weekends and holidays. There were only 5 this past Saturday. See the changing of the guard every hour. Very moving.

Cemetery is beautiful but solemn. The old white headstones gleam in the sunlight - rows upon rows. Some of the newer stones tell a mini-story. I've been many times yet I do not recall so many child burials - children of military parents. Perhaps it was the sections we walked through. Welcome Center is quite nice with exhibits telling the story of the cemetery's creation. Arrived at 12;15 on a weekday and was surprised the women's room was fairly messy. Toilet paper all over the floor in several stalls. Employees are friendly and helpful. If you're a party if 2 or more I recommend driving and parking at ANC's visitor parking garage. It's next to the entrance and close to the Welcome Center. Or catching Lyft/Uber. Unless you're in Arlington near a Metro Station, the trip is long (70 mins for us, 8 miles away in DC) and would have been $4.50/per rider 1 way. Whereas, parking for 2.5 hours was $9. Thank you President Lincoln. Thank you for your service all interees.

Arlington Cemetery is a very important place for Americans and others. The resting place of JFK and his wife and about 400,000 soldiers and some family members. The area is huge. Here you can rent a bus with a guide, visit several museums (the cemetery was previously a farm where slaves lived), and see the honorary changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A place worth visiting.

Such a special place to visit and reflect on lives lost. Tour and displays are very respectful. Changing of the guard at the unknown soldier is well worth watching the ceremony.

Arlington Cemetery is amazing. I was blown away. I walked through and it was a lot of walking but so worth it. Next time I visit I will definitely do a tour to learn more information. Very interesting place.

Was not on our DC to-do-list. We passed it several times riding the Metro in to DC. We had extra time one day so decided to stop and do a brief visit. Amazing history and beautifully kept grounds. Would recommend at least 2-3 hours. We will definitely visit again and devote a half day to see everything.

This place is immense. Did the tram tour, and this was awesome. Very informative and hop on hop off. Very friendly, helpful staff. Watching the changing of the guard at The Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier was so good. The gift shop was good, too.

It was surreal to be here. It is unbelievable to see how many soldier markers there are in person. Overwhelming. Of course you have to visit John F Kennedy. The memorial wall and steps are spectacular.

Loved it but think their gift shop needs more African American representation we fought in wars as well. African American memorabilia is very scarce

This is a must see place. So many emotions in Arlington. The changing of the guards is something to take the time to see. I recommend the tour to save you time also.

For years, I've been volunteering for Wreaths Across America, and every year, I get the same feeling of responsibility to volunteer, not because I have family members there, but to show honor to those who served our country. "Freedom isn't free." It is a sight to behold seeing all the wreaths at the tombstones. 🇺🇸🙏🏾
