My husband and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Arlington pentagon city Pros: The service is amazing and staff is kind! Kelley at the front desk was very welcoming! The rooms were clean and the hotel is conveniently located. Cons: This hotel is in desperate need of renovations. Its sooooo dated, just old and worn down. The rooms were below average and falling apart. Luckily they were clean, I would have stayed elsewhere. The honor bar took up all the fridge space and everything was weighted. The air conditioner made loud noises throughout the night and smelled like rust. The sink and shower also made noise slow draining drips. This was my first time in the Ritz Carlton and probably my last. If you are looking for cleanliness and convenience this is your place! If you are looking for luxury please save your money.

My husband & I planned a weekend getaway and stayed at Ritz Carlton (Arlington, VA) on January 9-10, 2022. We had the most phenomenal experience! The cleanliness, the staff, the high floor room, and the Mediterranean restaurant, Santé was simply mind blowing! The location was also perfect! The hotel was connected to the Fashion Center it made it quite convenient for us to enter / exit the mall via the hotel. I will definitely plan a trip to stay at the same place & book the same room again. Loved every bit of it! ♥️

The staff certainly lived up to the Ritz-Carlton reputation; they were excellent, polite and most attentive. The food at the in-house restaurant was very good, perhaps a bit pricey. My only complaint is that it is an older building. While the rooms were nice, it was obvious that the remodeling efforts had focused on the the superficial. The plumbing is old as was attested to by the age of the bathroom fixtures and the noises emitting from the aging plumbing whenever water was run into the sink. But, overall, it was a most pleasant stay and I would definitely consider staying there on my next trip.

First and last with this Ritz Carlton in Crystal City. Located conveniently off the metro and next to Pentagon City mall. Arrived on a Saturday by plane and charged 2 days parking for a vehicle I didn't have. It was supposed to be taken off by Cameron at check out but it wasn't. It's been a week and still waiting for the removal of Daily Parking Fees. The nightly rates for this severely dated hotel is outrageous. My room was basic, nothing spectacular. The overpriced in room snacks and beverages, DO NOT TOUCH or you will be charged. And mini fridge full of drinks but you can't store your own drinks in there. No ice provided. Stained marble in 1006 bathroom and carpet burns. Water pressure good and super hot water. Bed super comfy. My view of tall buildings and the hotels AC units was awesome. Thought by picking this hotel for a short visit to DC, I'd treat myself to something nice. I disappointed myself. This was a bad choice for the money spent on room. I was left very dissatisfied with this property. Plus being charged for parking, when I flew in. And the 50 bucks for parking that I'm still waiting on a refund for, a week after departure. I called and sent messages via the Bonvoy app while at the hotel and told it'd be corrected. At check out was told it'd be fixed. He adjusted off the daily wifi fee but not parking. Not a good guest experience at all.

I’m not sure how this hotel has so many 4 and 5 star reviews. This hotel is at best a three star hotel and is an embarrassment to the Ritz Carlton brand. Rooms are tired, lack basic amenities (such as table side chargers), and have substandard TVs and phones (ours was broken). If it wasn’t for DC trade associations hosting their fly-ins here, no one would stay here. How these trades make the decision to stay here I have no clue, but there are much better hotels to impress your membership than here with tired and dated rooms. It sorely needs to be renovated. This is a Ritz Carlton in name only. That said, great valet staff. That’s something!

I wish that we would have looked at the reviews before we booked. This was recommended to us from a coworker and being a Ritz Carlton we just went ahead and booked, not thinking to look at the reviews. Lesson learned. I would never have stayed here and I have looked at the reviews and seen that the consistently negative reviews all address the same things. This hotel is so old, the bed is so uncomfortable and instead of replacing it, they just threw a few thick mattress toppers on it. The sheets have been washed so many times That they are like a cats scratch post horrible. Even with an expensive upgraded room, you were staying in a regular motel six style room with prettier furnishings. One nice thing is that it does have a nice coffee maker and a big TV, but that is about it. It definitely isn’t luxury, it definitely isn’t Ritz Carlton, and you can tell by the way no one even replies to these negative reviews. We have stayed in so many very nice properties here in DC, this is certainly not one of them nor would we ever stay here again. The only reason I could see people liking it so much is that it is attached to a mall, but we do not come here to go to a mall, so that was not about us for us..

Nice rooms! Beds are comfy but are really tall for short people, lol. The club lounge employees were very nice and very helpful. There is only valet parking, $35

Brilliant property. The location is perfectly placed for access to the Metro, access to DC, or any of the other suburbs. Also, with an attached mall there is plenty of options for food or whatever sundries you may require. The service is impeccable and absolutely not compromised at all - as you would expect of a Ritz. The restaurant is nicely laid out, the menu diverse, but I enjoy it mostly for the use of the bar. Great drinks and friendly service -

First time at a Ritz Carlton and was extremely disappointed. This is not worth 5 stars by any means. The hotel is outdated and has a fairly small entrance/lobby. Rooms and hallways were outdated but clean. Our bathroom's sink was clogged and that was a huge pain. Best parts of our stay were the restaurant and Valet service. I would not be spending 350 dollars to stay here again. To make matters worse, we did not get the full credit at the restaurant as we were promised (had paid for it in advance) and I am now seeing a double charge on my credit card for the room stay which I will have to call about. What a hassle and waste of my time!

Incredible hotel. The staff was so courteous and welcoming. The rooms were gorgeous. Everything was pristine and clean. The location was ideal. You walk out doors and go like 30 feet and enter the Metro station. Super convenient location. Connects to the mall. The mall has a great food court. Right by a Shake Shack. Gorgeous views. I could see the Pentagon from my room. I loved it there and can't wait to come back. Also, they frequently have water bottles. They offer you champagne at check in. They take such good care of you. Highly recommend.

What a class act! The room was very comfortable. I was careful not to jiggle the snacks on the mini-bar. We were at a four day event with all food and drink. The food was amazing even though it was buffet style. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. I’d stay here again.

First time at a Ritz. Location is unparalleled. Service, impeccable. Why a 4 then? It wasn't perfect, which many wouldn't notice. Missing parts in the elevator lighting. Fruit sitting overnight in a common area. It really was close, but for a 5 star hotel I look for 5 star everywhere. 4 1/2 for sure.

My husband and I celebrated my birthday here for a few days. We had an amazing time! The location was perfect (literally connected to the Pentagon City Mall). The restaurant was top tier with fabulous cuisine and fantastic drinks. The atmosphere was chic and luxurious, yet warm and comfy. The staff was welcoming and very helpful/accommodating. Overall wonderful experience at the Ritz!

This hotel has earned every star. From the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out, I felt seen and cared for by the staff. Check-in was easy despite it being early in the day. The room was big and clean and comfortable. The TV is huge! The gym is well equipped with cardio and weights. It’s got complimentary apples and water for guests. Bathrooms have showers and lockers. Sante bartenders Dino and Robert were so nice. Dino asked my name and Robert used it 15 min later. That never happens. Until now. As I was leaving, the doorman suggested that an umbrella may be necessary. I declined it but loved that way he gently asked. They have free postcards in the lobby and a mailbox right next to it. I’m a person who likes to send postcards so this impressed me. This hotel is immediately next to a metro stop, making it quite convenient. It’s 2 stops from DCA and 4 from the City. I’d stay here again.

Here’s a gem of advice: before any hotel booking, look at HoteIDuIIy.cᴏm It’s a game changer. Love the location (near Pentagon and Amazon HQ) and hospitality! The front desk staff, doorman, concierge, and any staff we encountered at the Ritz was very kind and helpful. Top marks for a spacious and clean king room on concierge level, with access to the amazing club. Shout out to Sonja, Mulu, and Solomon who provided us a welcome and generous stay for almost a week! Additionally, valet parking was prompt and useful, with us coming and going multiple times a day. Cannot wait to visit again!

The location was excellent. Next door to a great shopping mall. Good thing because there was a good court. The hotel restaurant wanted $60 for a ribeye. Just cause you can afford it doesn't mean you should.

I had a great stay for my birthday at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City. The staff was stellar with the exception of Anish at the front desk. He was rude upon checkout. Argued with us over $15. Our favorite staffer was the host at Sante (German or Scandinavian accent) great memory. I was wished happy birthday with some Prosecco! Best day! The rooms are well kept albeit a bit dated. Drinks at the bar were ok, nothing spectacular. Food was delicious for both breakfast and dinner. I’ll likely stay here again.

We stayed here over the weekend for the Army Ten Miler, it was very nice and convenient. They have a kids check in station where your kids get a check in gift, both my kids loved it. The staff was really nice at check in, we had maddy (I believe that was her name)helping us and she wad great. The rooms were nice and clean. The hotel isn't as luxurious as other Ritz that I have stayed but it was nice and clean like I said and convenient. We had a nice view from the hotel as well. In the morning the walk was quick to the pentagon for the run. When we came back from the run at the entrance of the hotel they had set up a table with fruit, Gatorade, and granola bars which was awesome, wasn't expecting it. They also gave my daughter a scavenger packet which once completed she received additional gifts, and they threw in an additional plush for my 3 year old. Parking is valet, or you can opt for the mall parking which is $20 for 24hr parking. Overall experience was great I would stay here again for next years run.

Excellent hotel, especially if you are on business to the Pentagon. It’s an easy 10min walk there, in the correct side for the visitor center. Service is impeccable, bar and restaurant and friendly and polished. Will be staying here again next trip! Only thing I couldn’t figure out, was the TV in the room is huge, but seems to not be HD? I could hardly read the numbers in my NBA game.

Great experience ever since stepping foot on the property. The employees quickly came to help me with my bags and bring them inside for me to check-in. Hotel staff was overall top notch. Excellent location being attached to a mall and many other restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel, Sante, was delicious. Loved having a Nespresso in the room to make my own coffee. The gym was very clean with updated equipment.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel, but the excellent service was the highlight. From friendly front desk staff who offer a glass of champagne at check in, to housekeeping who somehow always seems to have impeccable timing, the staff are truly the best. The hotel smells fresh, and the room was immaculately clean. Room service, when ordered, showed up quickly. Additionally, the location is great, literally right on top of a metro station. Have had two great stays here so far, and will be back in the future.

It might seem hard to imagine, but there is a fantastic luxury hotel wedding venue tucked away in the middle of Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. The Ritz-Carlton has a location at that mall, and it's a great place to married! We photographed a wedding there a little while ago, and we loved every part of the experience. Most notably, Jessica Dankos and her awesome team were so awesome to work with! We found them so helpful and friendly throughout the entire wedding. And we also saw them take that same approach with the couple. We could see everything the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City team did to make their day special, and we came away very impressed!

Make sure to use HotelTully.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. They compare thousands of hotel sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the most well known in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't regret it. Excellent hotel, especially if you are on business to the Pentagon. It’s an easy 10min walk there, in the correct side for the visitor center. Excellent location and service. Rooms can be a little dated and though everyone loves an Honor Bar option, everyone also would appreciate some refrigerator space for their own things. The mall and metro proximity with a three stop proximity to city center make this an excellent choice.

  • 5/5 George P. 2 years ago on Google
Worth it. The staff and rooms and amenities are as you'd expect, all excellent. It's a bit busy but the staff are helpful. Entry into the shopping mall is just off the lobby-area, and the metro being right there makes it extremely convenient to both the DC sites and the airport.

Came here for a birthday and I must say, it was very nice. This will now be our go to hotel when we are in Washington D.C. This hotel was clean, staff was amazing from room service, to valet. The restaurant Sante was good as well. Waitress was very knowledgeable. The greeter was so welcoming. I love the fact its attached to the mall, made shopping a breeze. I cant wait to go back.

This was my first stay with any of the Ritz-Carlton hotels. This one is very close to Reagan airport, friendly valet staff, my room was clean and quiet. Any amenities I needed were brought promptly. I loved their Steam room , room service and the FYVE restaurant. With your room key you just take a short cut to the mall next door for some shopping

We recently went to the Ritz Carlton to celebrate 2 special occasions. From the moment we checked in, the service was top notch! Sandra J at the front desk was amazing. She arranged for special treats in our room. We were so excited to return from lunch and find the goodies! We had the package which included room service breakfast. Felt so spoiled, totally worth it. The location is perfect, right off 395. We were able to Uber to the Kennedy Center for a show in 11 minutes. I would also highly recommend their new restaurant, Sante. The food was fantastic and they also made us feel special! Would definitely stay there again! (hopefully soon!)

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. I came here for a conference and stayed here for 4 evenings. Its pretty conveniently located, as the hotel is attached to a large shopping center/mall. I ate at their restaurant Sante, which actually had pretty decent food. Hotel restaurants can be hit or miss but their food was delicious. The rooms are a little dated, but the bed was comfy, diverse mini bar selection and decent breakfast/drink selection in their Club Lounge. I had the privilege of meeting Sonia, one of the concierge’s in the Club Lounge, as well as Fernando of security. Not only were they professional and pleasant, just overall amazing service. Hands down, this Ritz has some of the best hospitality I have ever received from a hotel. Competent, professional, and friendly front staff. Any issue I had, management went above and beyond to address and triage. I’ll be coming back to DC for the next few months for both work and play and will absolutely stay here again. Stop reading this and book your stay now!!

Great staff. Bad room service menu. Stupid mini bar that has pressure sensors to make sure you don't move any of their overpriced sodas. Here's the thing. I've stayed in Ritz Carltons around the world and they've always been exceptional. Not this one. This felt like a gritty Marriot in a bad location. The location was nice but who has a mini bar that trys to spy on you? The staff though really tried hard to make it nice and were very attentive friendly and helpful. They did their best to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. It's next to a mall, which is nice....you can go get mall court food which is superior and costs less then the stupid room service. Whatever...spend your money on something nicer.

We went to the Ritz Carlton at Pentagon City for a work-releated Christmas party. Before dinner, I asked to meet with the chef (Johnathan) because of my food allergies. He was so busy, but took the time to meet with me and went through every food item with me. Then offered to make me a plate. I told him no worries, but he did anyway and even made me a creme brule! Not only was the service fantastic, but my food was amazing and I was able to enjoy the night with peace of mind. Thank you to the wonderful staff and Johnathan. That is what I call A+ service!!!!!

Fantastic stay at Ritz - Pentagon City! Our Valet, Ed, was so welcoming and accommodating upon arrival. He continued to be a bright face throughout our stay; greeting us by name each time we interacted. The bed was so comfortable and room was exceptionally clean. Don’t skimp on the Club Lounge - worth every penny! Thank you for a lovely stay! We’ll be back!

Enjoyed my five day stay. The hotel staff and valet were very polite and welcoming. Conveniently located. Attached to Pentagon city mall, with the metro directly outside the entrance. Hotel rooms are a bit outdated. The price per night is bit high. I was expecting a bit more at this price point. However, rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. Room service was fast and food was tasty. Nice Fitness center with adequate weights for a good workout. The dry sauna was not as hot as I'm used to, but still did it's job. The steam sauna was great and very relaxing after a long day.

The Restaurant. I really like some of the staff in the restaurant. They’re courteous and attentive. The food is pretty solid. The Hotel. This isn’t a real Ritz Carlton. The lobby is very small, the rooms are very dated, and the staff is hit or miss (our business group had severe issues checking in). It would rate an OK 4star Marriott, but no where near a 5star Ritz. Marriott needs to step in to reflag the hotel or force a total renovation. Damaging the brand badly.

Being travel stayed at Ritz Carlton across the world , this is the worst of worst , not even compare a courtyard Marriot ! Valet parking was quick ! But guess what , when you walk in to check in , guess what , there is no one at front desk , I having wait about 5 - 7 minutes for front desk to come out to check in ! I booked club level room , at check in , the lady is so crazy , she said book a club level room does not mean having the club access , I need to pay extra $349 for that ! Even thought I show her my reservation is already in club level room , she said yes , you room is in club level room , but does not mean you having club access ! She said I had to wait for manager talk to manager at next day When she see me begin to 1800 elite service , she said I am going just do your favors, give you club access ! I said you are not doing my favors , that is what I paid for ! Sure , I paid with my points this time , but that is because I had spent so much in Ritz Carlton , just in October , November, December alone 2022 , I had stayed in Ritz Carlton half moon bay , Ritz Carlton No mad New York City , Ritz Carlton Orlando , that is how much I love ritz Carlton ! But to be honestly , after the pandemic, over all Ritz Carlton no longer a five start hotel standard to me ! Four season hotel still is ! I do love ritz Carlton is my no 1 choice hotel , but after pandemic , with couple of the less than 4 start hotel experience, I am scare to stay in ritz carlton for my five start hotel mini get away now ! Especially after this one ! Guessing what , when I was went to club lounge for breakfast this morning , the key did not allow me to access ! I went to front desk , ask to talk to the manager , I even told him that is the worse experience Ritz carlton ever ! He is very nice and very professional, he was shock when I told him yesterday when I check in , the front desk told me club level room does not mean having club access ! The manager rekey and make sure my key can access club lounge! And guess what club lounge had no service , for 1 hour , I could not see any club lougge attendance, there is dirty plate all in different table that people left for a long time had not been cleaned yet ! This Ritz Carlton should change to countyard Marriott! Both Orlando , half moon bay ritz club lounge having very good service , Hong Kong , Tokyo , Paris , London is the best Ritz Carlton in the world !

Courteous, helpful and professional front desk staff. Solid, clean room and comfortable bed. Appreciated the quiet room location as requested. Great water pressure and instantly hot water. Best hotel gym I've used. Good housekeeping, though sometimes forgot to refill coffee pods. Microwave and fridge provided at request were very worn; fridge was warmer than 40 degrees F and microwave panel was detaching but worked. Unbeatable location adjacent to metro stop, mall, and restaurants; 10 minute walk to grocery stores and 15-20 minute walk to Pentagon. Overall great stay and would definitely stay again.

Our stay was perfect. The location was great and we loved having the mall next door. Valet was convenient and the staff were amazing. Khan at the front desk provided excellent customer service. He was so kind to give our son candy bars! 😊 The room had so much charm. I loved the Nespresso machine and mini bar. The rooms were also quiet and I've never slept better in a hotel. Thank you!!

I stayed at the Ritz for 3 nights in December 2023. I left disappointed in the service, and without trust for the staff. As I left the hotel room on my 2nd morning, the room attendant was in the hallway, with a colleague. One attendant asked me if I needed service, and I replied no. My “privacy” door tag was hanging on the door, and I left the floor. When I got to the lobby, I noticed I left something in the room and returned to my floor. As I approached my door, the attendant cart was blocking my door, one of the attendants was on the side of the cart (opposite my room) and the attendant I’d spoken to was coming out of my room. Surprised, but in an hurry, I got the item I left behind and went about my business. Upon my return to the hotel, I reported that the attendant entered my room without authorization to the reception desk. The staff member said it would be reported to the Housekeeping Manager. Upon checkout the next day, I asked for an update from the Housekeeping Manager. The reception desk staff member had no information about it, I repeated the facts and asked for a call with an explanation. 3 days later I received a call from the hotel. The hotel staff person said the “privacy” door tag was on the floor, and when I asked about the conversation I had with the attendant, the hotel reported that the person must not have understood my English. Only 1 of these 3 staff people apologized for the incident. To top it off, breakfast the first morning at the Ritz restaurant gave me food poisoning, after eating fruit and eggs. I will not stay there again, and do not trust this company or their response to the situation.

do not recommend them at all. They are uncooperative with the customer, and their customer service is very poor. Due to a family emergency, I had to cancel my reservation 10 days before the scheduled arrival and return to my country. I contacted the hotel by phone to refund the reservation amount, and they approved the refund. However, it has now been a month and a half since the cancellation, and the amount has not been refunded. I contact customer service daily, but they ignore me and do not respond to my messages. If you are looking for better customer service and cooperation from the hotel, I recommend choosing another hotel.
