My
friend
came
to
have
dinner
with
us
while
my
partner
and
I
were
staying
in
Pentagon
City.
We
were
sort
of
at
a
loss
of
where
to
go
having
been
to
a
lot
of
the
restaurants
around
us,
and
then
I
remembered
“Epic
Smokehouse”
which
I
had
been
to
before
(I
should
have
also
remembered
that
it
was
nothing
memorable).
When
my
partner
and
I
arrived
my
friend
was
already
at
a
table,
the
host
staff
were
uninterested
in
interacting
us
with
us
and
we
sort
of
found
our
way
to
my
friend’s
table.
Our
waitress,
though,
was
pretty
attentive
and
service
for
the
rest
of
meal
was
fine.
I
had
the
prime
rib,
my
partner
had
the
beef
brisket,
and
my
friend
had
the
poutine
fries
which
I
believe
were
topped
beef
tips.
My
prime
rib
was
cooked
medium
rare
as
requested
and
was
tender,
but
also
had
a
huge
chunk
of
inedible
fat
on
it.
My
partner
enjoyed
his
prime
rib,
but
didn’t
say
that
it
was
anything
remarkable.
The
mashed
potatoes
that
came
with
my
prime
rib
were
pretty
bland
though,
and
while
I
was
hungry
and
was
happy
to
receive
our
meals
quickly
–
they
were
almost
a
little
too
quick.
Everything
is
clearly
pre-prepared
and
really
not
that
fresh.
Overall,
this
restaurant
is
average
–
a
cut
above
a
more
generic
chain,
but
nothing
special
unless
you’re
in
the
area
and
really
craving
meat.
3/5.
