The State Museum for Art and Cultural History is located in Oldenburg Castle, which was the residence of counts, dukes, and grand dukes until 1918. The museum has a wide variety of more than 30,000 objects including paintings and decorative arts, and medieval manuscripts. A highly recommended museum. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10 am to 6 pm, Closed on Mondays. Entrance: € 6 standard

I love this place, the mall is amazing and the city is beautiful! Little shops all around and great restaurants and Italian gelato place.

Amazing place. I only had 3 hours for the Schloss and the other two more buildings plus the special exhibition. I could have stayed all day in there and I wouldn't get tired. The collection can range from the Renaissance to Nazis, fashion clothes from the 1950s, Impressionism, Expressionism (which I knew little about) and from 1st October 2020 also Russian Czar family paintings. Amazing and worth every minute!!!!

Great diverse Exhibition of history around Oldenburg and a beautiful inside with a lot of rooms to see. This is a castle and a museum and that is how it feels. Worth a visit.

Ampler castle worth visiting. In the summer the local municipality from time to time organizes festivals in front of the castle, on the main square.

Interesting museum with lots of local history. Only downside is that everything is explained in German only.

Really beautiful place , l was so happy until l found out money went missing in my bag upon leaving, my trip was extremely disturbed by that, couldn’t even make my Christmas shopping after that, it’s really a shame for money to be stolen there because the cross of Jesus Christ and even Martin Luther and a lot of Oldenburg, Bremen, Delmenhorst history is there. Please take care of your wallet when ever you visit the place.

Really nice castle right in the town. Full of artifacs. Staff on desk very pleasant. Went to gardens which were really good grrat walks
