I was asked at the till to see in my empty bags to see if I had stolen anything,I have been shopping here since it was opened over 20 years ago when baked beans were only 9 pence! I am respectable elderly disabled gentleman and have never had this happen before ANYWHERE. I'm not a thief and have no need to steal. I know shoplifting has increased and I am sympathetic, however Aldi should abandon this ridiculous policy unless they have VISUAL proof someone has stolen, that was the original way of doing things.I'm not happy that Aldi is accusing everyone of stealing without evidence. What about prams, shopping trucks, pockets and handbags, under hats,are they going to search those as well? I did return after a month to see the new store arrangement and thought it was very nice, a great improvement,again I was asked to open my bag.....not sure about going back ...if I do I will place my bags on the belt ,that might be a better way without assuming someone is a thief.

Useful store, bit on the small side but better than nothing. Good quality for the low cost.

A great store with a wide range of products at very favourable prices. Plenty of space to move around with layout well thought out.

I love aldi for all the reasons the foods are impeccable. it's clean staff are lovely.Also I love the middle aisles

We haven't been to this aldi for years. Good news to say that it was such a good experience and better than others in the Hastings locale. Would go there above the one in ore. Well done.

Aldi has all you need and is economical. Not keen that they stopped me from leaving to search my bag after popping in for one thing. It was done quite aggressively at the self-service check out. Another couple and I used the till and they were not subjected to a bag check

Very similar to bulverhythe Aldi in layout just a tad smaller, self service tills are ok but the best but once you get used to them

New shop very much nicer brighter and cleaner. Staff as usual really lovely and helpful I watched the lady on the check out actually leave the desk to help an older gentleman who was obviously struggling very refreshing.

Had most of the things we wanted, nice selection of beer. Ques weren't too bad for a Sunday, so as far as shopping goes for a non shopper that was pressganged into the weekly shop, I didn't fie of boredom so I guess it's pretty good 😎
