Beautiful area and beach, though on warm summer weekends expect road traffic and full parking lots. The beach is sandy, but note that as you go further southeast it does become the typical English rocky beach. There are several places for snacks or ice cream, and toilets in the car park are fine. Even though busy it was easy to carve out your own space so that 2-3 meters from other groups.

Parking: The western car park is a much better option than the central car park, as it is much cheaper (£4 per hour) and it is not as crowded. However, you do have to walk over a steep dune to get to the beach from the western car park. Beach: The beach is absolutely stunning. It is very expansive, with soft golden sand that stretches for miles. The lifeguards were on duty, and there were beach huts where you could purchase things. The beach was very flat, so it was easy to walk around. When the tide was out, you could walk far out into the sea. Overall: Camber Sands beach is a great place to spend a day. It is beautiful, it is family-friendly, and it is not too crowded. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great beach day.

We took a trip to Camber Sands beach 29th Aug 22. We’ve been to this beach a couple times and I must say, it was worth the trip from the midlands. The beach offers clear waters, sand and loads of scenic spots for those posh intagram-able posts. From what I’ve seen, there are not many options for snacks and drinks immediately local to the beach, so I’d advise to bring a varied packed lunch, drinks and snacks for a long day. It’s also cost effective considering the rising cost of everything. There is parking located right next to the beach access which doesn’t cost much. I found using the RingGo App useful as I can avoid needing to carry coins. Note: it was great seeing people pick up their litter as it contributes towards these spots staying pristine.

It's such a cool beach and only two hours from London! Quite busy but entirely bareable, especially when compared to other Sussex beaches like Brighton. Try finding an empty spot on one of the sand dunes for pure relaxation 😌

This is one of the few sandy beech's on the south east cost of England. I started using it when the caravan park across the road was in it's infancy. In those days it was deserted even during the hottest weeks. Nowadays it's always full, which is a good thing. There are some lovely small run restaurants on the run up to the carpark on Old Lydd road. On the beech front you have a couple of nice ice cream parlors who also sell teas, coffee, chips, burgers and so on. They are extremely expensive so be prepared to fork out some cash, even just for a coffee and a portion of chips. There is also some childrens rides but nothing to fancy. The carpark has NO concessions at all, not even for disabled. An all day parking ticket was £15.40p which was valid till 19:00 pm. The easiest way to pay is by the app RingGo, it's very easy and quick to do. Just don't forget to do it as soon as you park up. Otherwise you'll get an unwanted invoice through the letterbox. Fortunately there is a very equipped Lifeguard post on the beech who are always ready to help. I will say that if you are bringing children, its wise to either put a wrist band on them or the lifeguard's offer this service. Many times I've been there when a child goes missing (and in every instance been found) and on a few occasions the child didn't have a phone number wrist band on. There are toilet facilities but they aren't very well kept is all I can say, and during the busiest times they can get over run. So take some wipes just incase you get caught out. On the whole, this is a great sandy beech with a few setbacks, hence the four stars and not five, but it's well worth the drive.

Beautiful, sandy beach, not too far from London. The tide can get very low, but listen to lifeguards calls regarding the tide changes. There are also a few beach bars where you can grab some food and refreshments.

Warmest water I’ve experienced at any beach in England! The weather was around 27 degrees (london midday), showing a retrospective temp of 20 degrees full sun for Camber (evening), so not too hot, yet the water was exceptionally pleasant. The tides were quite fun to swim in on the day as the waves were relatively choppy. The sand is quite clean too! Overall a wonderful experience 😁 Pictures are from late evening (9pm late July).

Lovely sandy beach that the dogs adore. Dunes in and out a bit of a challenge for folk with walking difficulties but it is what it is

Beautiful shoreline with plenty of beach for you to catch some sun and enjoy a swim. Even though it gets busy on warmer summer days, the beach itself doesn't feel too crowded. There is a bit of a walk over the dunes to get from the car park to the beach which can be a challenge for some.

Parking is not cheap at £20 per day at the Western Car Park. There is a very steep dune to get over to reach the beach. It is not suitable for buggies or anything wheeled unless you’re superman. The beach itself is beautiful and there’s plenty of room.

Camber Sands is a stunning beach destination that offers miles of golden sandy shores and mesmerizing coastal beauty. The vast expanse of the beach provides ample space for sunbathing, sandcastle building, and leisurely walks. The dunes and natural landscapes surrounding the beach add to its charm and create a sense of tranquility. The clear waters and gentle waves make it an ideal spot for swimming and water sports activities. The beach's picturesque setting and breathtaking sunsets make it a photographer's dream. Camber Sands is a must-visit for beach lovers seeking a serene and picturesque coastal retreat.

Beautiful sandy Camber sands. Lots changed since I came as a kid. Lots of nice bar/restaurants opening up and good snack bars and shops on the beach front. Good to see investment has been put into here. Great RNLI (Lifeguards) presence at the beach.

Beautiful sandy beach and a great outing for the family. However, it seems a bit inaccessible for wheelchair users and prams as you have to walk over a big sand dune.

I had the pleasure of visiting Camber Sands in August 2020, and despite one minor setback, I must say that my experience was nothing short of amazing. This picturesque coastal destination offers a delightful blend of natural beauty, charming seaside atmosphere, and endless recreational opportunities. Let me start by highlighting the positives. Camber Sands is a true gem for beach lovers. The expansive golden shoreline stretching as far as the eye can see creates a breathtaking backdrop for relaxation and fun. The soft sand beneath your feet and the rhythmic sound of crashing waves make for an idyllic beach experience. The accommodation options in Camber Sands were exceptional. From quaint cottages to modern seaside hotels, there is something to suit every preference and budget. I was fortunate to stay in a lovely beachfront property that offered stunning views and easy access to the water. The amenities were top-notch, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout my stay. One of the highlights of Camber Sands is the plethora of activities available. Whether you enjoy water sports like surfing, paddleboarding, or jet skiing, or prefer to explore the dunes on foot or by bike, there is no shortage of adventure. I had a fantastic time trying out various water sports and discovering the surrounding nature trails. However, I must address the one downside I encountered during my visit: the heavy crowds. As August is a popular time for vacationers, Camber Sands tends to attract a significant number of visitors. The beach, particularly on weekends, can become quite crowded, making it a bit challenging to find a secluded spot to unwind. The popularity of the destination is a testament to its allure, but it can occasionally detract from the tranquility that many seek when visiting a coastal retreat. Despite the crowd issue, I found that Camber Sands managed to maintain a vibrant and lively atmosphere. Families building sandcastles, friends playing beach volleyball, and couples strolling along the shoreline created an infectious energy that was hard to resist. The sheer enthusiasm and joy displayed by fellow visitors added an extra layer of charm to the experience. Overall, my time at Camber Sands in August 2020 was memorable and thoroughly enjoyable. While the heavy crowds were a slight inconvenience, they did not overshadow the natural beauty, superb accommodations, and exciting activities that this coastal paradise offers. I would highly recommend planning a visit to Camber Sands, perhaps during a less busy period, to fully appreciate its serene and picturesque surroundings.

A beautiful sandy beach but 2 hours from London. Climbing the dune to reach to the beach was a bit tough for us with a toddler but still Good for families, not much nudity, Awesome fish n chips. Ample parking space at average rate.

“A sandy (barefoot-safe) beach” This is currently the best sandy beach i’ve visited so far because I find it hard to walk in pebbly beach as my feet gets hurt and is very uncomfortable. Very convenient parking (Apart from the parking charges) as restrooms are close by and easy to see. I find it handy as i don’t need to look around to find a toilet. The cafe has a friendly staff and environment. Also check out the bar as they have a variety of drinks to choose. I highly recommend the place especially if you are looking for place to chill with a beach vibe.

Beautiful beach, I've come here many times. Even at peak times when it gets busy it is not rammed like some of the more famous beaches and you do get some more personal space. There are cafes selling the usual seaside drinks and fast food but the options are limited in my opinion so you might consider bringing your own. The 3 main car parks are nice tarmac car parks and are pay and Display, you can pay with coins, card or RingGo smartphone app. On several occasions I've found the machines to be out of order so I've had to pay using the app which is annoying as they charge you extra for using the app. The central "Camber sands car park" has toilets which is very handy. There is a 4th car park about 15 mins walk away called Broomhill car park which is free, but is pebble rather than tarmac and has no facilities. I only found out recently and use this one now going forward as it's quieter and free.

Camber sands beach is beautiful, sand dunes which are great for sand surfing! Once the tide goes out there are little pools for the little ones to enjoy, though it's never deep in the sea. The only downside is the parking charges, the main car park is £30 a day!!! The pay and display car park is cheaper but still extortionate.

Camber Sands is world famous for its long sandy beach and the sand dunes. The sand is very fine and the dunes are quite steep. It can be very windy so the dunes are ideal as they offer a degree of shelter. There is a small car park, public toilets and a number of beach bars and eateries. There is also a RNLI lifeguard station. It is a great place to visit on a day out with friends and family. The beach is very long so it is also good for joggers, walkers and those looking for exercise in the fresh sea air. The dunes and the sunset offer great photo opportunities. If you do not drive then it is advisable to book a taxi from Rye Station to get to the beach as well as your return journey as taxis are not always readily available. There is a bus service, number 102 from Rye Station however it is not regular and you can have a very long wait which can be up to 40 minutes and more. The bus journey time is about 28 minutes on a good day but it can be over an hour on hot sunny busy days when Camber is very busy. Certainly a great place to visit.

This beach is an exception in this part of England (South coast of Kent) as it is a sandy beach not pebbles. Furthermore, it's a large expanse of beach stretching for a number of miles. It's a lovely place to relax and enjoy the sun (when it shows itself). Furthermore there are at least a couple of car parks close to the beach, along with some amenities to buy food and drink.

Camber Sands is one of the longest sandy beach I have seen in UK. We went there yesterday, even though it was 27 degree temperature but the water was exceptionally warm, we able to swim and you can go quite far in the water as there is not any big waves. It is definitely a dog and cat friendly beach. We took our cat with us, and he also enjoyed a lot as the beach was quite long. We parked our car in western car park, which is huge, even though we went quite busy time but there was plenty of space to park. Definitely recommended!!!

The beach 🏝️ is nice! There is sand, it look like very long! Some places are quieter ter than others. I have been in week day, and was busy! There restaurants, shops to buy food, toys, drinks, ice cream and more. If need to chose a place close to shop if want all this things because of go to different are it will look more desert area that you don’t find nothing! The vigilance was constantly. Around there have a lot different accommodations! Also there toilet!

Went there at 8pm in order to follow social distancing guidelines during covid-19....only to find that the visitors to the beach probably had not heard of such a thing...it was just as busy, not to mention the litter being left behind. It was such a shame that humans can't respect their environment by performing a simple act of placing there litter in the bins provided.

Gorgeous!!! One of the most beautiful beaches in the South Coast. Plenty of parking , lots of facilities! Dogs and Bbq areas marked. The sand dunes at the back block the outside world, making the beach special. The sand dunes are beautiful to explore with the kids and to just relax at night. I simply adore this beach , my favourite so far. Sunset is beautiful ?

We made a last minute decision to visit Camber Sands, yesterday. Got there at 5pm. The main carpark for the beach was full, they had an overflow carpark towards the back, but I don't think the carpark attendant liked us so didn't let us go through. (But thanks to him we saved some parking fees.) We were lucky to find a parking spot within walking distance of the beach. They have an outside tap to wash your feet etc, but the toilets were closed. There are food places open nearby, so you won't starve. Lovely soft sand. There was plenty of space between other people to sit down, we didn't feel it was overcrowded. Can't wait to go again. The sunset was beautiful.

Ew! Glad I arrived by car as it was easy to turn around and leave. The expansive beach should be beautiful with its sand dune backdrop. But infested as it is by tattooed chavs and their overweight feral offspring, it's just threatening and unpleasant. Used nappies, fast food wrappers, beer cans and poo litter the beach. Welcome to Little England!

(Translated by Google) Many Brits have very fond memories of the Camber Sands dunes. We liked it too! It's the right place for a day off or a cozy weekend: Not a lot going on, but enough pubs or bars to have a drink or simply eat. But especially on the beach and in the dunes you can really relax. Even when there are more visitors, it never really gets crowded. The Camber Sands form the only dune system in East Sussex and, at 3 miles along the coastline, are also large enough to be used for. There are 2 larger hotel complexes and countless weekend cottages that you can rent. Got there around 11:30 am after driving for 2.5 hours and the car parks the were close to full at £10-12 for the day. The beach was beautiful as the tide was out there were plenty of space to stay socially distant. There were security, Life guards and even an area for lost children. We felt safe! We brought our own food and drinks and we even noticed a couple of groups with disposable barbecues. But there was also a cafe (long queues) if you wanted anything cooked, coffees or ice lollies. Toilets were there too and we're okay. I'm looking forward to going back there on another hot / warm day

Really nice beach, kids loved it. Haven’t used the toilets so make sure you pee before you get there, don’t expect toilets to be great. Very nice dunes and kind of exotic beaches but totally difficult to reach them because the council or whoever is in charge of it,did not created any sort of decent access and then the facilities are absolutely minimal for such a crowded place.By facilities I mean, parking will be the nr 1,then toilets which are far from the beach and small and dirty and for the Last would be no snack bar or a mini shop for drinks and snacks on the beach.OOOOO I almost forgot,TRASH CANS(garbage bins)there are absolutely nowhere on the beach and I can tell you that the place is very big.Basically if you go there you must get everything you need with you, otherwise you end up cursing if you are in dire need of water or anything else urgent! Would I go back? YES but not very soon if I can find a different better place!
