After rafting trip, we came here for lunch. Food was absolutely amazing! I had tuna poki bowl. A bit too much mayo😂　but tasted good! My husband's bagel 🥯 was huge ! Looked amazing. We also had small wedges. Even small size was quite big😂😂😂　Thanks!

Excellent fried food. Cooked at the perfect temperature. Vegetarian dumplings and vegetable burger also excellent. Nice service too. Happy customers.

Had food today, lovely young ladies did an amazing job preparing our Kai. Burger, Kumara chips, tapas, our drinks everything was great. Portion sizes were good. Nice & quiet, good music. I will definitely come back next time.

My daughter worked here and she cooked and served us up this lovely lunch early this year 2022 and it was superb 👌

Great little spot. Sobar beef burger , pizza and dumpling plus the Montreal fries were all great ! Service was good too. Thanks. Have to come back tonight for the live music.

Really lovely fresh fish. So tasty and hot. Mean hot dogs and chips for my 6yr old. Very filling. Lots of sauces to use and dipping sauces. Would eat again there. Friendly staff. Seats not very comfy. Clean and tidy

We came here for dinner tonight, arrived at 7pm and the 2 staff members didn’t even acknowledge us while we waited to be seated or get menus. When they finally did give us the menus and we ordered the wait to get the food was nearly 1hr! The place wasn’t even busy and their excuse was having only 1 chef. We are still waiting for our food while our kids go a bit haywire!

Very Dissapointed with their service we booked a table at 8pm and when we arrive the staff said the kitchen is close and the chef sick. You could have informed everyone who made a reservation so they wont waste their time traveling and coming to your restaurant and wasting their time!

Overcharged $$$. Ordered kids meal which was half price - charged full price and charged for another tables bill. Recheck bill before paying. Food is less than average, table was sticky and service was poor.

Drinks specials advertised… not carried out.. cocktails juice with some flowers? However I have to note, the ambiance here is impeccable. Seems to be like the go to local spot on a weekend night. Come here for live music, dancing, and great people watching. Just don’t order a cocktail. Stick with a beer instead :)

Absolutely terrible food with slow service. Go to any fast food restaurant for way better food. We finished our microwaved chicken bowls with a sprinkling of shredded chicken about 15 minutes before our kids meals arrived. Kids burger was barely cooked.

Unfortunately a pretty average experience. Fish and chips with no really love. A mixed platter with edemame beans that were cooked to absolute death. The food sort of gave a "cooked from a frozen bag" kind of impression. No burger buns available, no ginger beer. No table check. Just left unimpressed, a bit hungry still and no desire to return. All a bit "meh".

Very pleasant place to dine alone. I enjoyed some great fish 🐟 and chips 🍟

the best thing about this place is that if you have a family with a variety of tastes that you will find something to make everyone happy. Gourmet hot dog, burgers, chicken, vegetarian etc and the quality was great. The place had gas heaters to keep us warm on a cold night so all good. Very happy with our selection.

Absolutely delicious food and amazing service.. I had the Seafood Chowder with garlic bread which was amazing and must say the BEST I HAVE HAD! If you're looking for a good place to eat come here🥰

Ordered online and was very excited to try the food based on the pictures on Uber Eats. How disappointing it was to find out my $18 grass beef burger patty was just a frozen angel bay patty you can buy from countdown. Would have been better off going to Wendy's or Carl's Jnr

Had the steak meal, it was soooooooo good. We are so glad we chose to eat here. Service was excellent, our wait staff kept us informed with how far away our meal was. Many thanks Sobar.

We had a family dinner on a busy Saturday night. The meals were generously sized and delicious. The service was terrific. Good value for money. Nice atmosphere.

Awesome place to go for dinner!! It’s family friendly with a great atmosphere. We went there and there was a 2-man band there that played awesome music while we dined. The staff were super friendly with awesome customer service!! The food was absolutely delicious and very big portions…well worth the price!! Although it was a cold/chilly night, didn’t really notice till once we left…think that says something! We all definitely enjoyed our experience there and would go back in a heartbeat!! Recommend this place to all, you will most definitely NOT be disappointed!!!

We had an amazing time at Sobar & cafe. The food was great, portion were huge and the service was awesome. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good time & good food
