Much better than expected! The private room is one of the biggest, cleanest and nicest we had on the whole north island! The staff is also really nice and always makes sure you’re okay. Lots of complaints about the kitchen, but apart from the fridge (it’s a little small) it’s all good! Would definitely stay here again!

Clean beds, clean showers, clean toilets, clean kitchen. The private double bed rooms are spacious, beds really comfortable. Showers are hot, stoves are working properly and the cooking gear and cutlery isnt missing anything. Big thumbs up to Andrew, he is a really lovely and caring host. He makes the experience here special and I wish the next hosts here will be taken care of by him. Fully recommended, this place is underrated. You'll get better than what your pay for

Very good location.. friendly staff and cheap rooms.. not too modern but clean rooms showers and toilets.. very nice tv room.. courtyard for drinking and smoking is excellent.. any time checkin is wonderful but after 9, there is little service charge for late checkin.. highly recommended hostel..

I stayed here recently and I liked it very much, the lady at reception her name is neetu an she is very very nice an also really helpful as is the owner febin. I would highly recommend this place when searching for accommadation as it is great, friendly, Tidy, an have good affordable rooms.👍

Comfortable bed, pillow and blanket, have a spacious common area and kitchen too! Special credits to Lijin Thomas who is soooooo helpful and patience in helping me find and deliver my lost items. He is awesome! I will come back again if I travel to Rotorua just because of their genuine staff! WONDERFUL

Really nice, well situated place to stay in rotorua! Best value for money and the staff is just amazing, always here to help you or give you advice! Kitchen or some rooms may be a bit tinny but backpack always clean! The courtyard is very nice as well! I had the best time there and I would definitely come back! 😁

Great price, service, location. What could be wrong? Well, you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, the wifi didn't work. Also, cleanliness/upkeep wasn't a priority.

Great location. Em the manager is very friendly and it’s pretty clean. Very little fridge space so be prepared to fight for a place! Close to government gardens and food places. Double rooms are small but good enough when you are out exploring all day. No air con but have a fan.

This dorm offers a lot of cool things, free pasta and free rice, free BBQs on a certain day, really cool little extras. The actual atmosphere here is great for people that like to party or socialise but not people that want to relax which could be a judge of my character but I know plenty of people that feel the same. It's quite a young hostel so I wouldn't recommend it for 30+ year olds. Still, the bed was super comfy and the stay was really pleasant! Staff were also really friendly and the rooms/showers were very clean. Great stay.

With it being a backpackers, our expectation wasn't the greatest, but when we got their, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, the room was spacious and fitted with clean white sheets, the bathroom was communal but it just feels like a public pools bathroom. For $67 in central rotorua for 2 people, i cannot complain. Great value for money Really friendly hosts (Ruth👍) Thanks ☺

My friend booked this hostel for our group of 4. My experience is good in general. However, there are two big things that concern me. 1. The bathroom/toilet is separated from most of the room. It is too cold for me just to go there to brush my teeth (today it is 2 degree in the morning). So don’t even have to mention showering would be impossible. 2. We stay in a room of 6. There is a guy who has a hygiene issue and we were suffering for the night. I know it is impossible for the hostel to control the issue #2. But for issue #2, it can be improved.

Right next to the bus stop, which is great. But unfortunately this street seems to be where the locals are a bit of a handful once it gets dark and had a drink and god knows what else. So be wary if your coming back late at night. Hostel was ok for one night, but wouldn’t of wanted to stay much longer. Definitely not new and modern, looks like it needs a good paint and modernising. Beds were stiff, pillow might as well not of been there. No plug socket by the beds, but there is a safe. No air con and the room got hot at night. Small fan didn’t do anything. Shower was cold, and hardly any pressure. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

The hostel looked relatively new and had a great layout for socializing downstairs and getting a quiet sleep upstairs. It's located right in the center of town close to many restaurants, shops, and parks. There are a fair number of single and double rooms. The whole place looked quite new. The main downsides were that the room we got had no airflow and a skylight above, but it did have a fan that helped. The bunk bed also shook to the point that I was scared it would fall over as I was getting up and down from it.

Decent hostel. Toilets are clean and showers are good. The rooms are bit cramped though, specially the 6 Bed ones. There are private rooms with 2 bunker beds/queen size beds if you are a couple and looking for some privacy. Kitchen is well equipped. Walking distance from I Site which is an advantage. Not a quiet a place.

The pillows are fantastic which helped with a good nights sleep; however there is an odour all throughout, stuffy, and dirty. Great location, but unfortunately no free parking during the day.

I didn’t feel safe there to be honest, some people there have been living for a long time. And also I saw a man just next to my room with a jail bracelet. The showers not so good as well, the hostel in general needs a lot of maintenance.
