Everything about my experience here was incredible! The service was above and beyond, I should’ve got the gentleman’s name, but he was so helpful and attentive. For the food…the food! Everything we had was delicious. The only exception would be the beef ribs, you can skip those, but do not skip the brisket or the Turkey. Never thought I’d say that about Turkey but man alive! That’s some great meat. The sides are delicious too and the macaroni with the brisket just may take you you out, but at least you’d die happy. Grab the peach cobbler for a way to clear the salt lick in your moth, and sooth your soul. Incredible.

I reserved the private room for a dinner for 30 clients that were attending a conference at the Kalahari Resort across the street, and the events staff was amazing to work with (the private room holds about 45 people)! I got there super-early, just to make sure everything was set up correctly and to get my computer connected to the monitor. Everything was already put together, including the beers on ice and the wine already uncorked. Everyone felt very special, and the food was superb!… But as good as the food was, the service was even better. Jesse the server was amazing to work with: super-helpful, efficient, and he anticipated things very well. He was also easy to find when we needed something. Clive the bartender was also great helping 8 to 10 of our guests with drinks from the bar. I don't know when there will be another event like this in Round Rock that I get to host, but if it does happen in the future, I will reserve this place in a heartbeat. *There was plenty of wine left over, so I brought it home. I purchased two bottles each of the Salt Lake Cellars BBQ White & Red. My wife (the household wine connoisseur) says that they are both excellent.

So, I rolled on down to Salt Lick BBQ in Round Rock, and let me tell you, it was quite the ride. I dished up some Mac and cheese and beef ribs, and it was nothing short of amazing, I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10. The only hitch was, it was a tad on the salty side for my taste. But hey, it's right there in the name, ain't it? Salt Lick, after all. In a nutshell, if you're hankering for some mouthwatering barbecue, this place is worth a visit. Just be ready for a savory flavor explosion!

Food was mediocre at best. I got the beef rib plate and some sausage. Sausage was pretty good. Beef rib was ok. There was some sort of glaze on it. Should not need sauce if meat is cooked properly. The sides were awful. Tasteless Cole slaw and potatoe salad. I hear people rave about the sauce. Not so much. I would have been better of at Rudy's or Bucee's for BBQ.

It's still just as tasty as I remember 4 years ago!!! Turkey was moist. Beef brisket was so soft and smoky. Ribs were nice and tender and sweet tang. Pulled pork was nice and not mushy like some places. Next visit, I may have a cobbler first because I never have space after meal.

This was my second time visiting this location, and I'm still not as impressed as I thought I'd be. I ordered the bison ribs and beef ribs combo, and the meat was tough and not edible in certain sections. The sections that were had good flavor and showed great potential, but the inedible pieces overshadowed all of that. For the price listed, every piece of those ribs should be able to be enjoyed. I did enjoy my chocolate pecan pie, though. The service was great and the atmosphere was too. I was extremely disappointed in the bbq, though.

Great customer 👌🏻 service, the meat was tender and delicious. The potato salad and coleslaw were fresh and tasty. They have the best sweet tea at a BBQ place that you can find. They also have t-shirts for sale with pretty cool 😎 designs.

I was very disappointed with this location. I was excited to see that this location was close to my hotel. I even took a coworker because the Driftwood location was delicious. The meat selections we ordered were delicious, but the meat temperature was tepid at best. The sides aren't the best either. The beans were ok, but their potatoe salad was not good, very mustard heavy. The only hot thing was the waffle fries. Unfortunately, the pecan pie and peach cobbler were disappointing. Best thing of the meal was their seasonal beer. Probably won't be back to this location.
