A beautiful park I went to a graduation party where someone rented a big pavilion. It's a very shady cool place to relax in. If you like to play frisbee golf ⛳ there is a wonderful course. Great play equipment for little kids, gorgeous picnic area also. I definitely recommend anyone to go give it a try 😉

Nice park. Has a long walking trail that may have several openings to the surrounding neighborhood. Play areas are more than adequate for children to have a ton of fun. We will definitely be coming back for more fun!

Beautiful park in Royal Oak that is perfect for families, with plenty of play areas for young children. There is also a small train/track for young children and parents to ride.

I love playing Vintage Base Ball at this Park. It's very well wooded for shade on Hot days, always clean and we'll kept. Fun for the entire Family.

A decent disc golf course, 9 holes each with two platforms so you can play 18. Official park rules don't allow beer but it doesn't seem to be enforced. Lightly wooded to add some obstacles but you won't lose any discs. Plenty of parking, also volley ball courts, baseball field, bike parking and playground for children. When I went at 6 pm bathrooms were locked and no portapotties.

It is a very nice part. The playgrounds are so nice. Also it has a big sand box. It is very good to relax around big trees and fresh air.

Beautiful, large play area for children, well laid out disc golf course. There are dangerous criminals there at any hour of the day in the wooded area, and the police won't do anything even if they see them. Other than that pretty nice.

Great park. Nice playground equipment, they have bathrooms and a couple pavilions. My favorite feature is all the oak trees, its refreshing to walk around under them.

Park has always been clean, disc golf course is great for a beginner. Love that it is in the middle of a suburb. Seems like the play scape is great for kids. Solid baseball diamonds.

Great Disc Golf course! One of the oldest courses in Michigan. Established in 1981, many upgrades have taken place over the years to make it fun and challenging. The latest upgrade is brand new Discraft ChainStar Pros!!

Super old Urban park. Very family friendly. Dogs all over the place. Sadly these people don't seem to want to share the park with disc golfers. Walkers routinely walk through play 😡 Good way to get hurt! There's a giant field, baseball diamonds, and a really nice set of pavilions including a bathroom. The playground is pretty extensive and we'll suited for 2-7 year olds. Lots of old growth trees make this a gorgeous spot to spend a day. Oh, and the most curious feature of this park is the scale railroad that tells through half the park. It runs Saturdays at 1, I believe. That also means no disc golf during that time (1-530, we were told).

Still a clean city park, I grew up a block south so this is what I call "my home field" . We stopped at Tainas for a large stuffed pizza and a short picnic in the park. It was nice to see kids using the park still

Nice park playground & swings for the kids. They have a disk golf course & in simmer rin a small electric train on weekends that smaller children can take a ride.

Went for Disc Golf, nice course dry with a lot of dirt. It's pretty open, but there are large trees all over. Baskets and pads are nice, but the markers could use some love. 18 pads for 9 baskets. The rest of the park looks nice. A clean newer playground, a nice pavilion, a small ride on train with tracks all around the park and a couple baseball diamonds.

It is okay for disc golf. Nice and shady, tends to be really muddy if it rains. Usually a good number of people meandering through the fairways. Also not a fan of the back 9 sharing baskets with the front 9.

If you're a parent or grandparent, this park is special. Part of that is the setting. Starr exists under a canopy of mature (what else?) oak trees. Shade is abundant, which makes playing that much more enjoyable. But the real differentiator is the second playscape. Both are contemporary, fun and safe, but the second one is designed specifically for 5 year olds and up. This means that Starr offers a playscape which challenges more than most. It's a key distinction and kids - my 3, anyway - seem to appreciate the added skill level. I recommend Starr heartily for anyone with high energy young-uns.

Nice Disc Course, lots of long holes. They have 2 tee's(holes) for every basket, little confusing the first few times.

Great park for beginner and intermediate disc golfers alike. I always try to play a round here while I’m in the area. There’s a play scape for the little ones and the last time I visited they were building stages for plays in the park. There’s a tiny train they run I believe on Sundays.

Beautiful park with a playset for kids. I saw small train tracks throughout the park and was wondering if they run miniature trains during the summer. Went on the website and sure enough, they do run them. How cool is that!

My kids have a great time here. We come here as often as we can. It gives them kids to play with and the other parents are consistent as well so they have a chance to learn the kids in the neighborhood. Good assortment of activities that get them excited with put me having to get involved
