Park

👍 A lovely park for families to visit. Although, it could be better patrolled, there is a lot of Antisocial and violent behaviour of late. The use of the space could be better managed I would love to see an enclosed area for dogs. People often mention park, Tonbridge, area, Park, Racecourse, play,

If you're from the area you know all about Tonbridge Park, or Racecourse Park as it's known on maps. The perfect area for walking, running, rowing, sport, meeting with friends, and many other activities. Those who grew up here will know this as the backbone of their childhood. As children we would cause no end of chaos in the children's play area. Constantly keeping our parents on their toes. As teens we would hang around in the "back fields" with our friends, chatting until sundown and listening to music. Now as an adult it is my exercise arena, a photography hotspot, and in summer where I play football or tennis with friends. Even then I'm only scratching the surface of what there is to do. A bowls club is hidden away on the station side, a swimming pool on the other, fishermen can be seen on the muddy banks, and when the wind allows, children being taught how to fly kites. For the sake of keeping it brief and not going into a ramble, the park is the beating heart of Tonbridge life, and I doubt a single person who lives here has not got fond memories of times they have spent here.

Pretty good park and a lot of space. There are football pitches and basketball courts. There is a decent children’s play area in the park. It gets really busy at the weekend. Equipments are pretty good maintained. Mini golf within and there is mobile coffee shops. Coffee is not the best and cheapest, £3 for medium size latte. Toilet is at the entrance of the park but currently not working. You can use the swimming pool toilet that you can use. Nearby car parking is free on Sundays and public holiday.

I recently visited Racecourse Park in Tonbridge, UK, and had a wonderful experience. The park is located in a scenic area and offers a range of amenities that make it an ideal destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The atmosphere at Racecourse Park is peaceful and welcoming. The well-maintained greenery and beautiful landscapes create a tranquil setting, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic with loved ones. The park's location also provides some breathtaking views, which add to its charm. I was impressed by the range of amenities available at the park. There are well-designed playgrounds for children, offering a variety of equipment to keep them engaged and entertained. The walking trails are well-marked and provide a great opportunity for a refreshing walk or jog. Additionally, the park features spacious picnic areas, allowing families and friends to gather and enjoy a meal amidst nature. During my visit, I found the park to be clean and well-maintained. The staff members were friendly and helpful, ensuring a positive experience for visitors. It's evident that the management puts effort into maintaining the park's cleanliness, which is greatly appreciated. My personal experience at Racecourse Park was delightful. I enjoyed exploring the park's trails, taking in the beautiful surroundings, and witnessing the joy on children's faces as they played on the playgrounds. It's a fantastic place to unwind and connect with nature. While my visit was mostly enjoyable, I would suggest adding more seating areas throughout the park to provide additional comfort for visitors. Overall, I highly recommend Racecourse Park to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in Tonbridge. It's a well-designed park with great amenities, friendly staff, and a serene atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a place to relax, play, or enjoy a picnic, Racecourse Park is definitely worth a visit.

We love Tonbridge Racecourse Park. It has a great playground, lots of space and toilets. I'm always pleased to see Moccafella's coffee van there. It's nice to take a walk along the river and do a loop round.

Nice play area for toddlers and children, large playing fields for team games, as well as a skate park, badketball/football court, and four tennis courts.

😠 Too many 12 year olds running about thinking they are road men. They won’t allow the younger ones to play on the equipment and are generally skid marks on society. Ruining a nice park for families.
