It is a much better way to see bears and wolves (only saw one wolf mind you) then in the usual zoo. Plenty of space for the animals, a nice cafe in the middle of the park over looking a bear enclosure. Dogs are permitted, but they should be on a short leash and don’t be surprised if they get upset as they instinctively react to bears (when I was young in Canada my dog got very upset when bears were around). Entry fees are a bit high, but food costs for the animals are also quite high too, so that’s ok. There is a large parking lot for the park, as well for the smaller children some enclosures of harmless animals such as Guinea pigs, rabbits etc. The old tabby cat is quite friendly too.

We've been here before and will come back again. This park is doing an amazing job for the saved bears and wolves, and an even more magnificent work in educating the visitors how bears and wolves are being misused and mistreated at circuses, zoos, and in private parks. There is a small shop where you can buy small gifts and souvenirs, and a small food court with small dishes and coffee and cake.

Decent outing for families with small kids, ticket prices are okay( 25 € for family ticket 2 Adult + 2 Children). Overall the bears looked very happy, so enjoyed watching them.

Ganz ganz toll hier for Klein und Groß !

I prefer to visit wildlife parks instead of zoos because wildlife parks give animals much more space to roam than enclosures even in large zoos. In this regard, the park is great. The bears are rescues, and there are other animals too: wolves, etc. Note that, if you want to take public transportation, the bus to Worbis runs only in the morning on Saturdays, and not at all on Sundays. If you're willing to hike, there's a short(er) 7km route and a more scenic 10km route from Leinefeld station.

Great park to visit with kids. You learn about the bears and why they came to the park. We were there on a quiet day and had a great view of all the bears and other animals. There's also a few educational things for the kids and a few small play area's.

Amazing park where you can see really big bears going about their business, bathing in their pool or even napping. Wolves can also be seen roaming around their cages. Also seen colorful birds. Great place to bring kids. There are clean and nice washrooms outside as well as inside the park. There is also a restaurant inside.

Cash only ,no foreign cards except german EC card. Park is a sanctuary for mistreated and abandoned animals. This park shows you the cruelties humans do , here they can live a somewhat better and happier life. Dont except a zoo this is not like that.

We came here on our return from Leipzig to UK. I liked that the bears and wolves had space to hide so that if they didn't want to see humans then they didn't have to! :) I don't like the petting aspect as much as the animals didn't have anywhere to escape from humans but aside from this we had a lovely time and saw many bears and wolves. One bear was playing in one of the pools and using a large stick like a pool toy! :) Thank you for the visit, the reception/shop lady was very helpful despite our bad German language skills. I should add that 8 euro is very cheap for any sort of animal park! If you take into consideration how expensive it is to maintain the facility, vets bills, food etc! I would pay more to visit in order to support the park. Vielen dank!

Lovely park, admire the space the animals have, hard to see them unless it’s feeding time. Would like them to have English info cards as well.

Very nice place to visit for family, friends or even alone, well maintained park for the animals and the visitors, you can also bring your dog, the price for the ticket is worthy.

We really loved it here. The animals didn't really show themselves we only saw 2 bears and 1 wolf but the nice walk in the nature and the information about the animals was worth it.
