We did the Warwickshire Ring on the Canal Boats, We called in on the Sunday for a Carvery, Dogs were made very welcome, Waiter/waitresses were very helpful, Food was amazing, would highly recommend to anybody passing by or looking for a delicious carvery! If I ever travelled down again from County Durham I would definitely call in!

Had a wonderful ultimate mixed grill meal. All meats are soft, juicy and flavourous. Asked for a runny egg and got one cooked just the way I like. Couldn't resist so took pictures only after I had a bite😅 Definitely happy with my tasty meal😘

Great spacious garden for a sunny day , there is a canal right behind the garden from where you can admire beautiful boats passing. Inside looks like a english typical old pub, which by the way I love🥰 Two fireplaces that make the place look even more comfortable and cozy. There is a food line at the entrance so u can actually see how the food looks like before you decide what you want. All in short perfect pub 👌 I recommend it 💫💫💫💫💫

What an absolute gem of a place, the location where its situated is beautiful. Orders some bar munchies, and it was reasonable and of good quantity .. the staff was okay, a bit of smile on the face would do harm. Not all, though.

We visited the waterside pub today. My wife and I had the large carvery. We have been to dozens of places for a carvery and I can say without a doubt, this was the best ever. The meat's were cooked to perfection and a good selection of veggies which were so fresh and delicious. The portions were massive, the staff were so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Amazing place. Will definitely be going again regularly. Well done guys.

Carvery is a con. They limit the meat you get. The seats are dangerous. Highlighted it to their Manager and they shrugged their shoulders. Best avoid.

Great for a spur-of-the-moment carvery or family gathering of eight or more. Always able to accommodate us. Decent amount of food even with the small plate option, which is just enough for a mid-week lunch. Without fail, a choice of three meats. Turkey and gammon is my favourite combo. Decent selection of veg and potatoes and hot gravy. The pub itself is always very busy so the food on the carvery turns over quickly, and not sitting there going cold and dry. The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxing. Price-wise it's not a drain on the wallet and easy to kinda make that snap decision of, "you know what, let's just grab a Waterside carvery..." Staff work so hard but are always polite and smiling, which must be tough considering how busy it always is. I like it, as if you haven't gathered that already. The Waterside simply ticks all the boxes.

Starter was over cooked as in burnt, complained and then part of the same food came bk out, main was undercooked, very disappointed as we had to complain about the starter, service was poor, barmaid was only interested in her locals sat at the end of the bar eating co op sandwich’s.. definitely would not recommend eating here SHOCKING

Lovely cheap pub, food has always been good in my opinion. The cavery can get busy on a Sunday but apart from that it's cheap and cheerful. Lovely outdoor space and a play area for the children.

Post football tournament, we stopped in as a family for lunch. Carveries great, chef friendly and dedicated. Waitresses helpful.Non-carvery options did take about 20 minutes to appear but food was good when it arrived. Nice outside drinking area next to the canal.

Staff were all super friendly and welcoming and accommodating. The chap serving the carvery was very personable and friendly and the serving staff very attentive. Food was good value for money. Would recommend.

Had such a great experience on Sunday. The place was packed but the staff couldn’t have been any better. The carvery was amazing, friendly staff and lovely sat by the canal. I can tell why it was so busy! Will definitely be going again soon

Slow service at tills, no real organisation or communication between front of house. No visible manager providing direction to a young team. > 1 of the 4 mains came out and the server did not know what it was and was almost dropped on the table > order a side of chips for our little one - had to send back as they were burnt, and the server seemed surprised by this. Food was very good, and the location is great. Just need to provide a young team with the support and direction needed to build their confidence.

I regularly meet up with friends here. The food is nice and good value. But the toilets are a disgrace, hygiene and safety with loose toilet seats and doors that won’t close. Really lets it down

Lovely food especially the carvery and great value for money. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My only criticism was that it was very busy and none of the staff were wearing masks and very few of the customers were either as everyone was told on entering it was not mandatory to wear them.

Family of 9 Christmas Eve lunch was awful have been her for family get togethers before and although food is never brilliant it’s ok. But today, starters were fine but one main course came out in the middle of the starters which we sent back Medium rare sirloin well strangest looking sirloin I’ve seen was well/ over done. Adults halfway through their food before the kids food came out. I complained and the manager did refund 4 of the adult meals. We didn’t stay and we didn’t even treat the kids to deserts. The staff were very pleasant but very disorganised and slow The whole experience, service very haphazard. We won’t go back. We need to find somewhere else for our get together. All in all very disappointing

The lass who first greeted us was very helpful and polite, took our order and had our drinks waiting for us on our table once we'd been to the carvery. Our food was served by Nova, and it was absolutely fantastic. The beef and gammon were both tender and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were nice and soft, the roast potatoes fluffy, the gravy nice and thick. I'm fussy about my food but couldn't find any fault at all. Would highly recommend a visit.

Came for lunch last week with my family, friends and 2 dogs. We had booked our table and were welcomed with a smile by staff. Lovely area where dogs can sit with us which we loved being able to bring them with us.. food was lovely, service was really quick, staff were friendly. A much improvement from when I was there last year. Well done to all staff. We will be back soon.

Brilliant! Chef let's you decide instead of giving miserly portions! As for value, just shows how much other pubs are ripping us off by. Fantastic all round. This lot cost me £9.79!!

WOW!! Absolute food heaven. We had 2 large carveries and were completely blown away. The meat was cooked to perfection and would just melt in the mouth- none of that paper thin sliced meat either. The potatoes were amazing, veg was perfect and so delicious. Not a bad thing to be said. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The seating areas were clean and well maintained, staff were always on the go to keep on top of it all. Just amazing. We don't want to leave 😄😋 100% recommend to everyone!!

We went here on good Friday 2022 and they were very busy and running out of stock due to how busy they were. They warned you it was going to be an hour and a half for food due to having one chef, but they didn't turn you away if you wanted food. One lady called Trish was very welcoming, very polite, bubbley, she brought your drinks to your table and did everything in her power to make sure you were happy and looked after, she was meant to finish at 6m but was still there when we left at 9pm. They were all very tired after a very long shift but didn't stop smiling even Sean the server. Thank you team for a lovely evening.

First visit since the pub has changed ownership to greene king and we had an amazing experience. We went with our 3 year old and although the full menu wasn’t on (carvery and starters only) the staff were brilliant and straight away offered to make our daughter chicken nuggets chips and peas - Trish and Lizzie couldn’t have been more helpful and even brought some colouring over for her to do. We had 5 starters for £16 - absolute bargain - quality was great and portions were big (we could have managed with 3 for £11!). Chicken wings my personal favourite Nice outdoor section (next to canal) and massive car park, all in all amazing value, great staff and lovely location. We’ll definitely be back!

The food is good. The staff make you feel very welcome, respectful but fun and make you feel like a 'local' even though so far I've been in a handful of times. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Oh and dog friendly area. Mr Rusty, my dog, loves them, especially Trish and Kris 🤗

Lovely place to visit. Plenty of parking for customers, extremely friendly and accommodating staff, big thanks to the Manager Trish, and others Mandy, Sophie and Cameron for their super efficient service, friendliness and welcoming smiles. I’ve have visited this pub twice for a Sunday Lunch, food was excellent, good choice of 3 meats and plenty of veg, sauces and gravy. Tables are spacious and not on top of each other. I had bar tables which I prefer but large open area which gives a great atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit here and that you book if you want Sunday Lunch. I’ll be there again very soon Dale

This is a decent place to go for a drink and relax with plenty of space and nice setting outdoor alongside the canal. There is a play area that isn't very big but good enough for the kids to enjoy. They have been known to put a bouncy castle up for them on the odd occasion. I didn't rate the food. I found the carvery very poor and dry every time however they have plenty of other things to choose from. Staff are friendly and helpful
