One of the best scenic places on the earth. It is heaven on earth. You can reach here easily from Salzburg by bus 840 and 841. One change required from Berchesgaden. We booked the first entry of 8.30 am through online tickets. In the early morning it was less crowded and hence we enjoyed it a lot. Entry fees are expensive but it is worth every penny. Free toilet facility available.

We where lucky we had such amazing weather. But taking pictures at the boathouse was impossible because of alI the people (we even went early!) I found a better location to take my pictures elsewhere and no waiting line. Also wear very good hiking shoes and be prepared to meet a few cows along the way.

Definitely take the boat upto Salet and do the hike to Obersee! One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to❤️ If by chance it's raining when you get there. Don't give up on the hike. The rain makes it even more magical!

I have never been to a magical place like this. I drove almost 2 hrs from Munich to reach this location. The boat ride on the Königsee was the best boat ride ever. From the Salet pier, Obersee is located about 15 mins away. Obersee has untouched water from the mountains and the water is crystal clear with emerald green look. Further the as the water is calm it reflects the mirror image of the background mountains on the water. That creates even more breathtaking view. Honestly these pictures and videos we capture do not do justice for the beauty of this place. You should visit and see from your own eyes..

One of the best place in germany if you are hiking lover and nature lovers then you should definitely visit it the view of mountain is mesmerising and due to reflaction in water it shows very pretty i spent 3 hours there and it's really worth it and one more thing be careful because there is snakes.

Visited as an exchange student. Trailing along the lake with the mountains towering in the back, the beautiful contrasting colors of nature around. Great place to hike. Berchtesgaden national park is a must visit aswell.

Obersee is a small lake with beautiful high mountains on all side. It is easy to approach Eastern side of the lake, however, but reaching Western side of the lake is little difficult. I has excellent views from both sides. It is better to carry few eatable items in the bag to enjoy this place for little longer time. It is recommended that tourists must visit this place.

Amazing place. A must to visit if you are going near Munich or Salzburg or Lofer. It is heaven and peaceful

It's a very nice walk to get to the far end of the Oversee. It is rocky and narrow at times so good foot wear is recommended. Lots of good photo opportunities along the way.

Breathtakingly beautiful water, clear and very cool. We even saw some giant fish quite clearly, even a few feet away from us. That's how clear the water is here. I recommend to land and arrive first by boat, because then the buses of tourists start passing.
