Arrived just after 16:00 and everything locked up. When the door opened to let previous visitors out the unfriendly staff insisted they were already closed despite the sign in the door saying last entry 16:15

Everything about this place is brilliant. I don't understand why it's not top of every list of things to do in Stuttgart. Every sort of pig collectible, art, and other paraphernalia you can imagine. Big pigs, little pigs, fluffy pigs, skeletal pigs, sexy pigs (yes, sexy pigs, some perhaps disturbingly so). Just amazing. Food in the biergarten is aggressively mediocre, but the museum itself is magic.

We loved every bit of this odd experience. If in the area you should check it out! The weirdness of it all really comes together.

Unglaublich große Sammlung in verschiedene Themenbereiche aufgeteilt. Vor allem mit Kindern ein Besuch wert!

This is definitely the best pig museum in the world. It has about every representation ever made of a pig. It also provides historical notes in English and German. It has an adjoining beer garden where you can reflect on the experience over a German beer!

Found it on Atlas Obscura and wasn't disappointed. Out of a group of 4, I was the only one originally excited to go. By the end it's all we talked about the rest of the day.

Excellent visit. Lots of attention has been put into the layout of the museum and it’s very interesting. All descriptions are offered in English which is a bonus! The building and contents are beautifully presented.

Sooo many piggies, almost overwhelmed by the diversity!! But they did a great job to give each one of them a place to be seen by everyone :) And they do have a small souvenir shop and an restaurant where you should definitely get a beer or a meal.

Wierd collection of pig parafernalia. It is also informative with some pig related data. But it is mostly random weird stuff. I would not say it is a must-visit of Stuttgart but you definitely won't find a similar museum in other places.

Super lovely place, they also have a cool restaurant My fiancee is crazy about pigs and this obsession has slowly gotten to me too, so this was the main attraction of the city for us Unfortunately I haven't managed to make it in time to see the actual place properly, but the staff was super friendly with my requests and let me get some cute piggies Will definitely come back next time I visit the city

Such a funny museum. And with the cheap price, it’s totally worth it! It’s right by a tram stop too. Too bad my Peppa Pig didn’t make it out alive 😂 Edit to include we also ate at the restaurant and it was great.

All kinds of products you can imagine are displayed here in a way related to pigs. If you have time, you may wish to visit

Interesting and unexpected. I really liked the miniatures in the museum and the fact that it is really genuine, but could have been a bit "refreshed" from its old appearance, taking into consideration the entrance ticket that is not really cheap. Would have liked to buy a small souvenir but the lady that was taking care of the museum shop didn't even ask me if I wanted something else, just told me that "this is an old museum and paying is possible just by cash" ... Well a bit of upgrading would not be bad, I think! Otherwise, the collection of exponates was really cute :)

One of the weirdest places in Stuttgart but it made me so happy to visit. This 40.000 item collection has put the Pig Museum in the Guinness Book of Records. Definitely give this place a try if visiting Stuttgart, Germany.

Very exciting place for kids and pig enthusiast. Can be covered within 2 hours max. In-built restaurant servers pork and beer. Can be easily reached by U bahn. Countless pig sculptures will keep your kids engaged for a long time and a good beer to you too.

It is a nice and interesting place for all these pigs. There is English narration for some exhibits but mostly German. If you are around that area, it's nice to pop by. Otherwise, I think it is just nice to visit in a lifetime. Don't think I will miss it though.

It's an amazing collection as many others have pointed out. However the exhibits could use a few more story boards to explain their origins and their back story. We went there on a hot summer day and the building is a little too warm to be enjoyable.

This place has everything and anything you ever wanted to know about pigs. They are also in the Guinness book of world records for having the most artifacts regarding pigs. If you’re tired or not interested in the car museums this is the place to go. At the end of your tour you can also eat some very delicious pork products in the restaurant on the first floor.

Alot of fun and interesting place of you're not too serious and you really like pigs. If you prefer big white halls and fancy art, I'm not sure this is the place for you. We really enjoyed it, spend a good hour there. Sadly the souvenir shop is very small.

Not really worth the increased price, especially compared to what you get for a similar fee at other museums in town. Nevertheless, worth the bragging rights, especially if you're into pigs.

  • 5/5 Li L. 3 years ago on Google
I was told that it is the biggest Pig museum in the world. You can find everything about pig there (almost everything)! It is a collection by heart, very detailed and very interesting! From little art piece to naughty dirty fantasies (in pig form :-p) A secret tip in Stuttgart. After the visit, a restaurant with yummy food is direct there, with beer garden 🍺 Cheers!
