Food is absolutely awful. Four of us went last week and all had the Mixed Grill. Sausages were unmistakably reheated from Iceland. Chicken had no texture or taste that would make you think it was actually Chicken. Steak was tasteless bit of leather and one of them was almost completely uncooked. Gammon contained Salt quoter for a few months at least. Egg I think could have been egg but want a professional opinion. Chips were likewise reheated. I didn't know there was such a thing as fake meat until this visit. Waitresses were young (Greene King can get away with paying them less) / inexperienced but clearly making the best of a bad job & polite so can't really fault them. We requested doggy bags to take the food home for the family pets. We made a written complaint to the pub 'manager' and asked for a number to contact. Without waiting for me to call the so called 'manager' sent me the conclusion of his 'full investigation' which unfortunately was very unprofessional, had missed basic important facts, almost accusational and drew a false conclusion. Certainly won't be visiting any Greene King pubs again. Don't know which was worse the very poor food quality or the way the complaint was handled by a so called 'manager'. A great example of how not to do it..

In short, inexpensive simple food. It's your standard hungry horse affair. Looking for no frills meals on the cheap then look no further as you can get some great meals for the whole family. Come on a Monday and get some pub classics even cheaper with their Monday deal. Service was friendly, no issues there. Ordering is easy, find your table and order on the Greene King app and wait for the food to arrive!

Very nice and friendly pub. Not had a bad visit here in over five years. Live the layout which has an over 18 section and another for families. Large enough to house two bars, seated area for food, large outdoor seating and a good sized carpark. As it's part of the Hungry Horse chain it offers discounts via the app (and cash back from certain banks).

This pub is epic. The staff are brilliant, the atmosphere is great, and the food is amazing? Got an over 18's area so you can have a chilled pint without kids running around, with 2 pool tables and a dart board and a decent beer garden at the front and back. There's also a family area. Large TV's everywhere with all types of sports on and all major football matches. Great pub

When my order came out it was wrong, totally different order, the waitress walked away from me twice and came back twice saying it was what was on the order. I said well it's not what I ordered and , maybe they had taken the wrong order... she said I'll go check, continuing to gaslight me but no she was wrong, as I already knew... she had a bad attitude and didn't come check us the rest of the meal. Also tables sticky and dirty yet it wasn't bust and plenty of staff.

We gave this place a miss for a few months hoping it would get better. The issue we had is there was never anything in stock always something missing occasionally rude staff, so we decided to try it again on the hope things had changed.. asked for a gluten free menu the bar tender couldn't even be bothered to get it for me had 2 find it myself..anyway ordered only to be told there wasn't onion rings for the meal. No breaded mushrooms for a starter and no.syrawberrys or caramel sauce for desserts. Very very disappointed that nothing had changed such a shame cos the food isn't bad. Won't be revisiting.

Found an earwig in my dessert, maybe not the pubs fault, was the suppliers as you know they just bang things in the microwave; but the way the staff went about it wasn't the greatest. Still haven't received my refund for the meal either.

Took the family for a treat. The meals are well prices with good sized portions. There is more than ample seating space in the restaurant area and outside. Definitely will return again.

We called in here for a pre match meal, and we certainly were not disappointed. I know it's the usual pub fare, but it was served very quickly, well presented, and perfectly cooked. Great prices, good beer choice, lovely friendly staff, huge car park, and the place is massive.

I was a regular customer of your pub after my wife died in march.i started going everything evening until week last Wednesday evening when the landlord was rude and abrupt and unfortunately I asked him about a dog that came in the pub just asking about the dog being in that part of the pub.As all the staff does not allow it.He promptly jumped down my throat and said it was nothing to do with me.He makes the rules .I was only asking. So I ordered my drink and he put it on the till which I always have a tab for food etc.He did no more than pore my lemonade down the sink and took my wine away and told me to get out of the pub.I said to him that I spend upto £200 a week there.And his response was.It doesn't bother him either way I get my wages at the end of the month.so that told me 😡 the staff have been amazing to help me because of my depression and loosing my wife 😥 never heard anything back from green king so it looks like I won't be going back there again.

Amazing evening. The staff were visibly very busy but were still very helpful and patient with us when asking questions and ordering our meals. We had the Sunday roasts and it was delicious, lovely seeming hot veg and the meet was gorgeous. I would highly recommend coming down for a family meal.

Massive portions but not really my sort of food, however if you like burgers and traditional pub grub you're on to a winner. It's a bit dated looking but the staff were very attentive and the food came out together, quickly and hot.

Good value and tasty food. Good choice of food and drinks. Fast service. Staff were friendly and helpful, even when I was trying to use some vouchers which didn't scan very easily they were very helpful and patient. Will definitely be back.

Good overall but make sure you order your child's desert at the same time as the rest of their meal otherwise you will be charged extra. Small print on the reverse of the child's menu explains this as the staff won't ask as they're not obliged to. Managers words not mine haha

Meant to get free desert told when asked we should of ordered it with the meal on app but it never stated that. To be fair they rectified it and let us order the free one.... Then ordered the big candy mania expecting a type of ice cream Sundae in a glass.... to have this tub of ice cream with 2 squrts of cream and a twix finger halfed literally threw down the table.

Just a Thank you to a member of your team who was obviously off duty or on a break. We came in party of 7. 6 adults 1 child and we struggled to get a table in the dining area. The team member had literally just sat down to eat their own lunch but did not hesitate in jumping up and asking the manager permission for us to go into the no under 18s area. They also found us a table large enough and fetched an extra chair. I unfortunately didn't get their name. It was around 1pm Sunday 22nd. Great service and hopefully our thanks will reach the team member.

Bless this pub, every drink ordered by the app was with me within 3 minutes and the pub was busy. Great friendly staff and a fantastic pub. Respect to all the staff here they do a fantastic job

Went with a friend for an early lunch. Had fish chips and mushy peas, food was served quite quickly and was hot. There was a lot of grease on my plate from the batter and there was a lot of batter on my fish. Portions seemed quite a bit smaller than last time I visited. Overall food was hot and tasty only spoiled by all the grease on plate, and reasonably priced.

We frequently eat here. Service fast even when very busy. Food always been good no matter what we've chosen. The house Shiraz is excellent. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Terrible!! Family Christmas meal. Ordered from Festive menu at the bar to be told no festive food available! Why give us a festive menu then? Queued again at the bar & ordered roast dinners as an alternative. What could go wrong, after all its a Sunday lunch? We were booked in for 12.30, meals arrived 1.45, cold & congealed. Chicken was RAW, (that went back) beef tough & chewy. Khaki coloured ' green' beans & the palest ' roast' potatoes I've ever seen! Needless to say, we will not be going back under any circumstances!! 🤢

Food was good value and quality was better than expected. The thing that was off putting was the staff, although the couple we spoke to were friendly, gathered was a small group swearing and messing about. One was swearing etc while walking through the restaurant which is aimed at families

Completely surprised with everything. The service and food were excellent. I would recommend a visit. Hungry horse has made a massive improvement over the years we haven't visited (about 10 year) due to poor food and service. Well done for your improvement. We will be visiting again.
