Beautiful park with everything you could want.

When I organized our work event, the park was in the middle of transitioning ownership. The new owners were on site, all hands on deck, learning from the former owner, who's family the private park is named for. There was a lot of pride being had in ensuring the parks culture would not change, just bc ownership had. I cannot imagine someone having a bad time at any event held here.

The most beautiful place for an event!!!! The owners and staff are all AMAZING! They kept checking in to make sure that we had everything we needed. The grounds are pristine, plenty of activities and fantastic food. This venue is the perfect destination for ANY AND ALL occasions!!! If you overlook this venue... you're missing the best place to make your memories!!!!!

We just had the most wonderful and perfect and amazing wedding here. The owners, Carrie and Ken, are the most amazing people I’ve ever met. They went far above and beyond for our day. We worked with them for well over a year. They are professional and so easy to work with. The entire park is so clean and calm and just stunning!!! They are a family that runs it all and they treat you and your day as if you are family and I couldn’t ask for anything more. If you are having a wedding or family reunion, company picnic, church picnic, anything, you truly need to go see them and this amazing park. You really won’t regret it. I truly cannot say enough about every aspect!!!

A fantastic park for almost every outdoor activity you can think of. Basketball courts, sand volleyball, Cornhole boards and paddleboating are the main attractions along with multiple pieces of playground equipment strewn across the beautiful landscape.

Such a beautiful place. We love coming here for our company picnic each year. The grounds are simply gorgeous, very well kept. There's so much to do here from the paddle boats, to corn hole to the parks, just to name a few. The staff is always so kind. Truly is a little oasis here in Ohio.

Just wanted to stop here on my way home from kayaking, to show a friend. As we were making way to the body of water, a maintenance guy or possibly the owner, had mentioned the park being Private. I respected that, but there were no events whatsoever. I kindly mentioned to him that I was there years ago for a company picnic and was curious to see how it looked today. He was despondent and so we left. What a Bad vibe.

Absolutely beautiful!!! This park will enchant you with it's beauty. The grounds are well maintained and clean. It is large enough for family reunions, wedding receptions, company picnics, and the like. I was there for their Water's Edge Art Festival this past May and it was an amazing experience. It was very well put together with a lot of beautiful art and nature to behold. This park is definitely one of Geauga County's nature gems!

I just had my wedding here over the weekend... I honestly wouldn't change a thing! These people treat you like family and are so attentive and helpful and kind! I highly highly recommend this place for any event you're having! Wendy and Bill were fantastic, Carrie is an absolute ray of sunshine! Her husband Ken is just as fantastic as the others! I cannot say enough good things about the staff, the land, the venue is on another level to me. I'm so grateful I has the opportunity to meet them and work with them for me and my husband's special day 💜 💕

So you're looking at MMWLP and haven't booked yet? They may not keep up to date on social media so much, but do not let that deter you. Weigand Lake Park is truly a hidden gem. Carrie and Ken are the absolute best! They take away any stress of wedding planning, and fill the in the gaps (yes, there will be things you just cannot get to!). The grounds are stunning, the food is superb, and our guests had a blast! Carrie goes the extra mile to make sure you have the best day ever. Place was amazing! We just had our company picnic here. Plenty of space and lots of things to do from corn hole, basketball, volleyball baseball to swimming and paddleboats! Food was delicious! We had ribs, burgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, all the sides and deserts. They have ice cream and slushie shop with raffle gifts for kids. Staff was very attentive, polite and approachable!

If you are looking for a venue for your wedding where your guests can do more than dance THIS IS THE PLACE! First, I want to start off with how AMAZING Carrie and Ken are! They treated us like their own family to help make our day exactly what we wanted. Throughout the whole week they kept in touch with us, let us drop off the alcohol and any decorations and just kept my mind at ease! The day of, my girls and I got ready in the hall, Carrie and Ken both checked on me a million times to see if I needed anything. During dinner, they carried our plates from the food line to our table and checked on us until we were done eating. We had our ceremony outside on the deck to the lake. It was absolutely beautiful! You have the options on what color you want the lake (natural, black or "putt putt" blue). We didn't even need decorations because all of their flowers made it beautiful enough! Dinner was fantastic, we had the baked chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. It came with salad and rolls. They do buffet style. We also had a snack bar that included ice cream, slushies, popcorn and popsicles. This was a HUGE hit with the guests. Once it got dark we had the fire pit lit and the smores were brought out. Our guests had fun on the paddle boats, sitting around the campfire on the swings and the playing with the cornhole boards. And of course, the ones who liked dancing had fun on the dance floor! They do have an indoor option if you choose that or if it rains. Overall, the venue, the workers, the food and the experience were all wonderful!

We had our wedding here October of 2022 and had been planning it with Carrie and Ken (the owners) for close to a year and I truly cannot say enough amazing things about them as people and about their venue and what they do for weddings! Carrie and Ken COMPLETELY took care of everything day of so we could just relax and enjoy! They were incredible!! Not the mention the BEAUTIFUL property!! The lake, the staff, the park, the food, everything about our wedding was better than we could have EVER imagined and that’s mostly thanks to Ken and Carrie for living up to their name and “making memories” for my wife and me and my family that we’ll be talking about for YEARS to come! Can’t recommend enough!!!

One of Ohio's hidden secrets. Love, love, love this park. From a wedding to a family reunion. It fits the needs of any event you could think of. I went for a babyshower. It has corn hole, basketball court, baseball field, volleyball, a playground, multiple swing areas, paddle boats, lake swimming, horse shoe, concession stand with popcorn, ice cream and prizes for kids! Outdoor bar area with dance floor. An indoor hall that's very nice. The only thing that I can say I didn't like was you can cater or bring your own food. But the staff is amazing! When I say friendly, helpful and has the best customer service. I will definitely attend any event there.

Nice simple place for company picnic. Close to home. Got a little of everything. Plenty of picnic tables, paddle boats, basketball court, a pavilion for sun shelter or rain. Restrooms with indoor plumbing and playground equipment all around and a wagon ride through the woods. Plus great food and ice cream for free. You go carpenters!!!

The park had everything our family wanted. The park was keep clean and tidy the entire day. They provided rides and other accommodations for guests with disabilities. The staff was amazing! Our family definitely made plenty of memories at Making Memories park.

Booked this venue for our family friendly, company picnic. I can't say enough great things about it!!! The venue was laid out so nicely, there was something for every one! The staff was amazing and so friendly to work with. Good food, very clean and well organized. We will definitely be back!!

Wow, where do I start? We had our company picnic here, and it was just our company .When I arrived, Carrie was at the welcome pavilion.Her genuine enthusiasm and shining smile were my first impression. I had not been to this facility for 35 years. It was great back in the day, but Carrie and Ken are the new owners that have continued the "Making Memories at Wiegand Lake Park" legacy. Great food, great service with a smile and great music are three key ingredients to a successful event. We had all of this and then some. It was a beautiful day and fun was had by all. Some of us played bingo together, some of us went out on paddle boats together and we all ate together. If you want your event to be located in a little slice of paradise give Carrie and Ken a call.

Wiegand Lake Park is one of the best places to have your event! They hosted our daughter's wedding reception, and it turned out to be more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. The food was excellent, and the service was exceptional. Their personal interest in making sure that every need was not only met, but exceeded, took the experience over the top; we could not help but leave feeling like family. Our guests had a blast and we will forever have fond memories of a truly spectacular and blessed wedding and reception!

I would like Shout-out The Park and it's owners for having a place to celebrate your events and Moreover their Integrity is impeccable. I lost my billfold and it was returned personally by the owner. The Place is beautiful and offers Alot of Fun things to do. And last but not least the Food and Service was Excellent!!!! Thank You Wiegand Park🙏❣️🌹💯

Love this place And eveything about it! Delicious food and awesome staff ! They never disappoint! The place just keeps getting better and better!
