Really great atmosphere and food. We had brunch so I can't speak on the dinner menu but everything we ordered was really delicious. Definitely try the potato skins and the breakfast pizza! Our server was really friendly and took great care of our party of 10. I'll definitely be back to check out more of the menu.

We were in Rye for business and needed some lunch. We found the RG&B on a few travel sites, all sharing great reviews and the food looked just as delicious. And it was! We had pizza (great crust and lots of cheese), salads, and a chicken meal. And our little guy (4YO) enjoyed his noodles and fries. The building itself was very sharp, with the indoor seating area set up rather beautiful. We sat in the outdoor seating, which turned out to be perfect on this warmer fall day. The staff was great as well. Our waiter was on top of his game, providing recommendations and keeping up with our needs. The table sitting next to us was giving (unwarranted) hell to their waitress and being...well treating the waitress and other staff poorly. But the folks at RG&B handled the table professionally and also courteously. If we lived nearby we would certainly he heading the RG&B!

absolutely delightful. Lovely staff, fantastic service, polite, thoughtful. And wonderful food and atmosphere. We brought my mother in law and my 14 month old son. He was screeching and exploring his surroundings and the staff and everyone was so accommodating. Bartender poured me a free glass of wine after my son kicked it over. Had chocolate cake which was to die for. Left happy and full. :)

Good service. Great location. Very spacious inside and the restaurant also has plenty of outdoor seatings. A very popular place for families. We went in the early afternoon (not typical lunch or dinner time) and this place still had good number of people. However we feel that the food was okay for the price. It was hard to tell how freshly made the chicken pot pie was. The quesadilla was good but again it’s just quesadilla. They didn’t have the special we saw on google map pictures and they ran out of short rib that we wanted to order from the menu.

They have stepped up their game since COVID began with great outdoor dining options and good food and drinks. I miss Morgans but the improvement here makes up for it a bit!

They have done a good job with Covid measures, spacing out the tables, providing a great deal of outdoor dining, servers wearing masks, etc. The turkey burger is good, coming on an English muffin (a nice little twist), as is the turkey wrap. The entree itself is a decent size, but they could give a few more fries. Overall, a decent enough restaurant, one that I would come back to, but not necessarily one that I "must" to come back to.

Rye Grill and Bar is always yummy and consistent. I go there for dinner regularly, and they're always accommodating w gluten and dairy (and I imagine any other allergy issues) and the service is always good. I'm partial to the salmon, but everyone is always happy with their food here. Sophocles in the front of the house is a gem. Highly recommend!

I first met my cousin here for lunch as it was a halfway point. Since then, I have been back three times for their outdoor dining. Amazing food and friendly staff. Even though it was cold, their outdoor heaters worked wonderfully.

Nice comfortable seating, very well spaced out. The steaks are great and my wife loves to come here for our date nights.

Such a disappointing experience! My husband‘s 65th birthday the service was terrible when I asked for a damp cloth to clean up a mess left from nachos no one ever responded no one ever asked if we would like another drink and when we asked for some type of birthday cake they ignored it and brought us cheesecake which we in fact had ordered as well with a hole in it where a birthday candle had been and was no longer there. You cannot re-create a 65th birthday dinner. It was Embarrassing and I felt so bad for my sweet husband. When I called I got the patent response. So sorry I will speak to the server. Unfortunately will not be going back. We had two lovely experiences without my husband in previous weeks and thought this would be a perfect spot to celebrate his birthday. I was so wrong. As with most popular restaurants my dissatisfaction won’t make a dent but as I said before you Can’t re-create someone’s birthday celebration. Disgusted. The most memorable dining experience of 2020. My partner and I had Sunday lunch at this quaint English pub by off chance as we were passing though Pirbright. Despite not booking the staff here were more than accommodating and fitting us in at a time when they were clearly very busy was really appreciated. Despite being busy the service was impeccable from start to finish. My partner has a gluten intolerance and this is usually a difficulty when eating out. Anna, who was our server was more than happy to talk through the gluten free options and assist when we wanted to make an amendment to a dish to make it gluten free. The food was really good and came quickly, and again Anna was superb in checking that everything was ok with our meals. Overall a really pleasant experience that I couldn’t fault, if we ever pass through Pirbright again we will be sure to eat here again!

Had the most fantastic lunch at the White Hart today. Service was excellent and very COVID conscious. But still friendly and entertaining. Food was the best also that I’ve had We were a group of 6 with varied tastes and all loved it. Thank you very much to all the team at the White Hart!

Visited The White Hart on Sunday, very warm welcome, new tier system was explained professionally, sat near the fire was warm and cozy, ordered the trio roast, was superb beef was cooked to perfection roast potatoes to die for, had an espresso martini, best I’ve ever had followed by the best cosmopolitan, staff were excellent place was excellent can’t give anything less than 5 stars. Booked for next week can’t wait to eat here again

Great re-opening after the second lockdown. Very COVID safe with everything explained to you at the door when greeted by someone. Menu is still full with lots of choices suited for everyone. We will definitely be back!

First time here, had a Christmas dinner from the festive menu wow so so good pigs in blankets/stuffing was amazing well cooked finished off with an amazing coffee Covid restrictions very good Staff all very good at their jobs definitely returning 5 stars guys

I was delighted by the service The White Hart had today when I was finally able to go out and enjoy some drinks and a meal like in the good old days! The staff was friendly and took the necessary measures to make my visit pleasant and safe with the social distancing rules they have in place. Went for a joint birthday meal with my gf on Tuesday the 25th August. Pre booked table. I can honestly tell you that the food was superb, the selection was vast, service most excellent. All in all a great evening. Will definitely be returning

First time visiting this establishment, lovely atmosphere fantastic warm fire, place smelt of mulled wine beautiful Christmas decorations perfect setting. Had the Sunday roast massive thank you to Mark for you recommendations very knowledgeable, our waitress was very attentive and the two roasts purchased were huge and cooked perfectly. Felt very Covid safe excellent safety procedures will definitely be returning for the desert we had no room for. Well done White Hart

Return to the pub, looked promising was happy to buy a meal in order to drink, was told myself and my partner would need to buy a meal each which we were happy to do, food was fine arrived promptly, however the couple sat next to us were told ordering 1 starter between the two of them was ok. Manager seemed to know them well. Feel ripped off and won’t be returning shame as looked a promising restart after a long month away

Always good food and super friendly service...i really hope they make it through lockdown...would be a shame to loose it.

In the main we were disappointed with our food. One ordered the flatbread but the chickpeas, which were an integral part of the dish, were missing. After mentioning this a separate bowl of chickpeas were bought to the table but they were rock hard and dry. I was looking forward to my seabass dish described as being served with a salsa on a bed of sauted potatoes but it came on a bed of cold lettuce and very vinegary red pepper with a side dish of luke warm potatoes. Also everyone's food was under- seasoned. Needless to say, we will not rush back to eat, but would go for just a drink as the pub itself is very nice.

A group of us lunched at the pub having pre-ordered from the menu. The pub adhered to the Covid guidelines. The service was slick and the food was enjoyed by everyone in the group. Happy to recommend The White Hart for its atmosphere, food and ales.

Visited for lunch with friends on a busy Saturday! Menu choices were excellent and food was lovely! Service was great, friendly and helpful staff and they are following all the correct safety measures! Felt very safe! Will definitely visit again.

Excellent service. Foods fresh and has that homemade taste. The kids loved it too. The nacho appetizer and meatballs app were yummy. The chicken fingers and fries, & Mac n cheese were kid approved 5 ⭐️ 5 of us ate and we left full only thing, we were bummed we didn’t get to get dessert bc we were full. Definitely going back :)

The Rye Grill and Bar is a lovely, old world feel, restaurant and bar. The dark floors, high ceilings and open atmosphere are welcoming. There is opportunity to sit outside, on the porch, and also inside, in a variety of rooms. Our server, Ron, was very friendly, engaged and informative. He was a refreshing change in this sometimes negative world.. Ron was great! I will ask to be seated in his section every time I visit. The only downside is, parking...it is challenging...but worth it! Will be back for the brussel sprouts pizza!!

Great family friendly restaurant! I’ve had holiday parties, birthday parties, lectures, and regular meals there. Always delicious! Show up for an early dinner and you’ll see lots of other families with multiple little kids

Very nice scenery!!! I got the Cobb salad and it wasn't anything that I was expecting, but very tasty...yummy!! The presentation could of been nicer. My daughter got some kind of stuffed Flatbread (I think) and the 7 layer dip, which was actually really good. The waitress was Amazing and we never had to ask for a refill, whenever she saw our diet coke was almost half gone, she already had brought us a refill. Definitely will be back for luch/dinner.

Been coming here since we got out of middle/high school (back in the days it used to be 2:37PM - if you’re c/o 97 or nearby you’ll know). The establishment has changed with the new building, yet the food & service remains great as the old Rye G&B. Seems as everyone always has a smile on their faces from the moment you walk in to when you leave. The bartenders are attentive and also friendly.

This place is always delicious. We had a big brunch party the other weekend and our waiter was exceptionally attentive and efficient. All of the food was delicious. I’m a big fan of this spot and will always try and visit whenever I’m back in town!

From the host station to the stunning large bar and spacious seating with 2 roaring fire places to high-end service, magnificent food and phenomenal atmosphere, don't look any further for a wonderful place to dine anytime or grab a cocktail and sit by the fire. Ashley was so nice and made sure we were happy with our food and drink; serving delicious coffee martinis after lunch to us by the fire. We enjoyed luscious clams & mussels in white wine and the brussel sprouts pizza with prosciutto and fig. I can't wait to get back here. Thank you to all the staff, your happy attitude made this a great mother-daughter lunch!!

Great place to meetup with a bunch of family while all in town for a family members birthday weekend. Plenty of cocktail and wine choices, appetizers, entrees for the whole family of all ages. Lots of fun. Perfect for a big group because it’s already busy. Great staff. Food was great.

A stuffy atmosphere but very nice wait staff. The crab cake Benedict was not bad but could have been crispy. The home fries were pretty tasty though. The burger is pretty good and I heard high praise about the pork cordon blue. The nachos were pretty good. The coffee was a bit cold, no vegan milk options. It's a nice place to hold a private event. Their menu is bigger in person than online.

Haven’t dined here in a while. Mostly American food such as burgers, steaks, fish, and pizza. My calamari that I ordered was excellent with the sauce. The steak sandwich was very good, and came with fried onions and fries. Very good service and nice people. Outdoor seating available also.

We had the best time!! A bridal shower for 25 and the staff couldn’t have been anymore attentive. They were accommodating to every need and the food was fabulous!! I live in Redding CT, so it’s a drive for me but was certainly worth the drive. 😄

Have to echo what others are saying. The food was good. Prices are decent. Good selection of drinks at the bar and service overall was very good. Our waiter, Shawn made us and the kids feel welcomed and was awesome. Definitely will go back and maybe a good hang out place with the guys too.

I went with friends and we shared some tasty fries as an appetizer. I had the garlic and white wine mussels and pasta main, which was disappointing because the broth was watery and had little flavor. The Tollhouse cookie dessert was fantastic, though, as was the Paloma cocktail.

I passed through Rye on my way to a business trip and decided to stop in for dinner. The food was excellent! The menu had lots to choose from. The restaurant had a great family atmosphere as well as a fancy one. If I had lived in Rye, this restaurant would be part of my weekly routine. Definitely recommend stopping for a meal.

Good selection of food and drink. Nothing stood out in terms of food although I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of thin crust pizzas. Service was good as well. We went on a Sunday afternoon and does get quite crowded which made it a bit difficult to have conversation but despite the crowd our food / drinks came out quickly

We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at Rye Bar and Grill on August 25! They went above and beyond we rented the room upstairs with the bar and fireplace it was perfect for our rehearsal dinner and then when we welcomed it up for welcome drinks the team was so accommodating to move tables and ensure our guests were taken care of! They even set up for us with our decorations which looked wonderful. The only negative is that for speeches it was quite loud from downstairs and they didn't have a microphone so it was hard to hear. Besides that it was perfect and the team was amazing! I highly recommend for any events!
