You will feel like at home. We had a good laugh around the typical "leve, leve" attitude of the STP people. At Carambola you can find simple, light and freshly cooked dishes. We had a squid salad as starter (amazing spicy sauce..and I usually do not like spicy food😅), followed by a grilled octopus and grilled "peixe azeite" with fried banana, rice and vegetables on the side. And a passion fruit mousse (made by Ria Elsa). It hitted the spot! The dressing on the octopus is indescribably tasty. I could have a entire octopus to myself. The food is really amazing! You can expect a modern like ambience, typical background music and attentive staff. All great! We intend to return there before leaving the island. 😀 Highly recommended!!!

Good relation between price and portions, although you have to figure out that if you want to eat in a restaurant in São Tomé, the prices are around 6 - 10€. Concluding, it was a good evening/night. The best, full of flavour, Natural fresh fruit Juice I've tasted in the whole island!! Tasty and delicious food. We even got a souvenirs to take with us cause some of our friends were departing the next day. Hugely recommended 🥰🥰🥰🥰🌺🌺🌺

As it seems to be the rule this days, the power was down at the time I went to dinner. But the staff is very nice and we manage to find a solution,👍. When the dinner was ready I manage to ask for candles, and had a very nice candle light dinner by myself. At the end, I had a very nice conversation with the owner Elsa, (please correct me if the name is not correct) and found out, she was several years in my home town in Portugal. So, I recommend, and if I have enough time I will go there again. Sorry for not posting photos, but it was quite dark. 😎

Great place, first came in 2021 and going back every time we visit Sao Tome. Attentive service and great food. Also very nice, relaxed setting. Highly recommend. Will also accommodate take away if requested.

I absolutely recommend this restaurant. Staff were amazing! Excellent customer service and the food was delicious. The fish and octopus were really well seasoned and cooked to perfection. It was my mother's birthday and they surprised her with ice cream with a candle which she was really happy for. The restaurant also has very healthy options such as natural juices (papaya, sour sop, passion fruit). We cannot wait to visit again.

My first 5 star review of the year! In town for a days, I wanted a quick and yummy bite for lunch. And boy, they didn't disappoint me! I went there 2 lunches in a row and was surprised by the quality and freshness of the food. The portions are huge and you'll be challenged to finish. Definitely my favorite spot in São Tomé!
