Tourist trap! Let me be brutally honest. 1. The google reviews are fake - the restaurant offers free gift to customers who give five star reviews 2. The food was very rather unpleasant - horse meats were gamey and too tough. Other dishes were so so. Not worth the steep pricing 3. Service and atmosphere was not bad, but very touristy

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. We have been travelling round SE Asia for the last three months and this was probably the worst meal we’ve had. The atmosphere of the restaurant is brilliant, and feels very authentic and local, but the food itself is a huge letdown. We ordered a chicken hotpot, a fried rice and some sturgeon to share between the three of us. The rice itself was extremely under seasoned and so bland, it was impossible to eat without adding the soy sauce they provided. Half of the chicken they provided for the hot pot was inedible as it was just parts of the rib cage that had hardly any meat on it. The broth itself was incredibly bland as well. The sturgeon was the worst part. We ordered the deep fried salt-crusted sturgeon and somehow it tasted of lake water. The batter was tasteless and despite the appearance of lots of salt, no nice flavour was present. We were incredibly disappointed as the other reviews made it seem like a fantastic place to eat, it was unfortunately not for us. A huge disappointment, especially as it was quite pricey compared to other restaurants in the local area. Possibly it is very nice for locals, but not for tourists and foreigners.

Lovely, relaxed eatery away from the cold and thick fog. Service was impeccable, and the hotpot was superb. The pumpkin chicken stew thingy was a dish we've never tried before, and it was really good. Special shoutout to Huong. She was really friendly!

Very nice salmon hotpot, that came with lots and lots of veggies! It's basically a sour soup similar to that of Tom yum but less sour. Salmon came in a very interesting presentation, with the entire fish out on a platter. Some slices were closer to the spine so be wary of bones. Scales were not entirely removed but it's small enough to eat and provide a small crunch but most people might find it disconcerting. Service was attentive and friendly! I will recommend.

Excellent! Great food, even better atmosphere. Highly recommended! P.S. I don't think staff knows it is possible to edit review after it's been posted, but now that I left the restaurant I have to say that it was really weird that they asked us to leave a good review and then stood by our sides until we did so. They made us take and upload pics of the restaurant and then write something nice. After I posted the review the waiter made me show him the review and then took a pic of it with his phone. Although it did feel weird, I did not mind it very much, but I think someone else might would have a problem with it in the future. Just politely asking to leave a review would be just enough. I would've left a nice review either way bcs really it was very good :)

The hotpot is definitely something you should order; filled with local herbal medicine and fresh chicken! Horse meat and sticky rice also a treat to look forward to! Please do ask the server about the portion size. They are very friendly and will help you along the way!
