I had an absolutely delicious blue cheese crumbles covered burger on a pretzel bun. It had some sort of amazing sauce on it as well. Perhaps one of the best burgers I’ve had, if not ever, at least in a very long time. The staff was wonderfully attentive and accommodating. Extremely happy I chose the Bear and Crown Pub for my dinner when I was in town on business.

Out server “John” was excellent. Food was good. Drinks were not that great. It feels like there a little disorganized. Some drinks would come up first and some would take a few minutes. We saw one of the owners and even though the place was almost empty, he never stop by and said hi.

Love this place. Beautiful inside and out. Food is amazing - especially Fish & Chips and the. Scotch Eggs. Fantastic and friendly service.

Stopped by to have dinner with our daughters and the food was excellent and the service was top notch. My wife had the fish and chips and my daughter and I had the cottage pie. Can't go wrong with either.

We sat at the bar and had pretty slow service, despite it not being too busy for a Saturday, though Farm to Fork was happening nearby. The Scotch Eggs were the standout. We split a Mac and Cheese and added a banger. The banger made the dish. I would not order the Mac and Cheese again but would get the banger. We also ordered the 9 Devils on Horseback (blue cheese stuffed dates wrapped in bacon). They were a bit overdone. We asked the server what the dip was but never got a response (though it was good). I forgot an item on the hooks at the bar. When I called to inquire they said it was already in the office! I was able to pick it up the next day without issue. We'd like to check them out again after they have really worked out staffing since they are still relatively new.

Stopped in here for a short brunch yesterday with a few coworkers and had a wonderful time. We were quickly sat at the bar, but the pub is huge and had plenty of open seating, back patio, and booths set up for larger parties. Leo was our bartender and he recommended the Fleming cocktail. It was sooo tasty, a perfect mixture of lemon and fizzy and light sweetness! I ordered the poutine it had yummy cheese curds with the brown gravy, delicious smaller plate to have with a couple beers if you're coming in for the drinks. My friend shared his fish and chips and they were properly done as well. Solid addition to the Old Sacramento area, gonna give Fanny Anns some competition for sure with their beer selection. We will be back thanks for the good food, great service!

Such a down to earth restaurant. Our server tonight Corey was really nice and helpful with picking food options. Definitely will return. Fav restaurant In old sac!

fantastic new addition to Old Sac. we arrived at 7pm on thursday evening and were sat at a table immediately. we ordered a round of drinks and two appetizers. Service was prompt and he was very friendly and had good recommendations on the beer selection. Our first appetizer was the warm beet salad which came with grilled yellow beets and rocket (arugula) with a creamy dressing, balsamic and pecans. Deelish. the second appetizer was the fried pickles: crispy tangy and great with the beers. For our entrees we had the fish and chips with mushy peas and chips and an excellent housemade dill tartar sauce and chicken tikka masala over rice. the portions were huge, the fish was moist and flaky cod, the chicken was all breast meat and the sauce was very buttery and tangy. excellent. the me nu has some great british/irish offerings including cottage pie, guiness stew and Scotch Eggs! The owner they will also be offering a traditional pub roast sunday supper soon. ill be back for that and the yorkshire pudding for sure. Great selection of tap beers, scotch and irish whisky, nice large patio and several big screens. we will be back. 5 stars.
