You're welcome, I would have given 5 stars easily but the reason being is, I placed an order in person, received a text and in person confirmation that once the order was ready for pick up, I'd receive a text that my order was ready. I ended up waiting for 40 minutes when I was told the order would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes and went home with cold crab legs and sides when the order was ready but I never received the text update. The previous time I placed a huge to go order over $100 and left a tip of $12 and I didn't get ranch, salt/pepper, limes or napkins. This was all at the K Street location. The food is still 🔥👌 but I feel like the communication has been off and I've returned each time with lower expectations but still have these experiences. Crab was very fresh and delicious, prior to the pandemic it was not organized and there were no issues with to go orders being packaged per process but I truly believe there's just lack of motivation but times like these, we're all trying to support each other. I usually go for the food but this kind of service is something I've never experienced before with boiling crab. I am positive things will fall in place. It's just a matter of time.

The price is not even worth it, like why’s 1 cluster crab legs $41 dollars. The staff we called over the phone probably did not put our order in, when we arrived to pick it up, they just blankly told us they didn’t have it and put it in again, no apologies, nothing and after 45 additional minutes, waste of time and money. If you know any better seafood boil restaurant, please let me know cos this is trash. Small portions too, not even worth it cos the mussels were empty when we got it, like they weighed empty mussels?? Who does that???

This was my second time trying out Boiling Crab, but this time I tried the “Whole Shabang” (hope I spelt it correctly) with some mussels, clams, king crab, sausage and shrimp. It was very and too delicious to the point where I zoned out, felt like no one was around me but just me and my bag of seafood. Love the messy eating type of vibe as my hands were just covered in sauce and definitely thankful for the plastic sheets they provide to cover our shirts. This place is beyond expectations, fresh and delicious seafood and way worth making the trip out here coming from Reno. Nothing like killing 5 pounds of seafood like nothing. Can not wait to come back out and have some more!

We got one pound of shrimp, one pound of clams, sausage, Lemon pepper fries and some corn. Though the line to eat here took a while, the service was quick and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the portion sizes and quality for the price I paid. The sauce was delicious...so good.

It was just okay. First time here and I'm visiting from DC. The food had no flavor, waiter seems tired (I have him a $10 tip), and overall the food was not that great! California is lost in the sauce of the food industry. Everythung taste old, nasty, or had no flavor (I really don't think yall know what flavor is...) Anyhow.....boring. Won't come again. I'm just giving 4 stars to respect the waite staff with COVID!!!🤷🏾‍♂️

oh yeah this is the spot! best seafood in town hands down. They have the best spice mix for their seafood and it tastes amazing! The whole shabang is a must try with mild heat level. The potatoe and corn and sausage are just soo good. Best shrimp i've ever had before. 10/10 would reccomend. come a bit early as waiting lines are always long.

Although in the heart of Sacramento deserted downtown (sad) it’s been over 20 yrs since I’ve been to a boiling crab and did not disappoint. I have a picky 14 yr and we loved the shrimp basket Cajun flavor fries for the little picky ones were hot and crispy shoe string style. And the shrimp had the most lightest bread / maybe batter I don’t know but it was fresh and delicious! Usually every other place similar to boiling crab over batter their shrimp but this was not the case! The house shabange flavor was just right medium for heat on the snow crab was pretty perfect for my mixed white family ha. But someone ethnic (me) it was a bit mild. It’s messy but fun time! Oh we also had the crab fries and delicious and crispy fries!

I come here whenever I want crab legs! If you don't mind the wait, I advise going online and adding your name to the list before leaving the house because this place is often crowded. The food is always tasty and hot! The finest sauce is the entire shebang! There are so many televisions, which is great for watching sports. Get dirty and have fun!

We were served before our expected wait time. Our waitress was fast, courteous, and went the extra mile to get our multifaceted order correct. Other waiters & servers let us rest assured, making sure all were comfortable to enjoy our awesome meal.

Cajun wings were fresh, great presentation, and flavored perfectly. The Sha bang shrimp were also top notch. Gumbo with rice had a great balance of sausage, shrimp, and veggies. The fresh okra was a nice touch. My tea was never empty and I had attentive staff dropping by to make sure I was content even though I wasn't their table. Food came out fast as well. Great atmosphere with a TV never out of view wherever you're sitting. The wash sinks outside the bathroom are key. I'm looking forward to coming back!

The food was great. The flavors were there. I regret not getting more corn in my bag.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, decent prices, nice location downtown Sacramento, validate parking if dine in Restaurant, ordered boil in bag however no pan to dump boil in, you eat from boil bag ( different from what I'm use too), only 1 corn on cob in bag, 4 potatoes, onion rings hot and crispy, gumbo was delicious, waiter didn't check on much for refills etc..

A very busy location. Maybe the crab we got was dieting lol but it was not enough for 2 people. Lobster had a lot more good spice levels for medium levels. Cajon fries were the best crispy ever.

Over cooked shrimp, high priced and really just ok service. Not worth an hour wait nor the price. I can cook it at home faster and with better flavor. It was super cold inside, I do expect AC, but they have metal chairs, and it was 88° outside. I even brought a sweater and was still cold. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience.

It’s definition an experience. I love going to such resturant once or twice a year just to try it out because in my mind I love it, then I got and I regret it because I end up not eating. Fresh food, very fast service, and good quality sea food. I love the mixed sauce, and if you are not good with spicy; their mild was very spicy, I wasn’t able to eat as much as I wanted. Add potato, corn, rice, and boiled eggs to your mix, it’s worth it. Would I go again? Yes maybe to try no spicy sauce. Otherwise, I will wait a year to miss it, to try it, then to not eat it haha.

Went there on a Saturday night, seated within a reasonable time. waitress took our drink order about 15 minutes, took another 15 minutes to get drinks. Waited over 30 minutes for our food order to be taken. Of the seven people in our party 1 1/2 orders came in a timely manner. (they forgot the chicken strips, only brought fries) after an hour of waiting for our food we had to flag down a different wait person to inquire about our order. (our waitress literally disappeared) Finally started getting updates from a manager that our order would be out in 5 minutes. About 30 minutes later had to inquire again, this time was told 30 seconds. (ended up being another 15 minutes) While eating the manager came to apologize and agreed to comp the food portion of our bill. Upon review of the bill only 50% was taken off. When questioned the manager stated her manager would not allow a full food comp. (which is fine, just don't over promise) The food was as expected from previous visits, the service was terrible. The excuses were annoying. ( waitress shift ended, kitchen lost our order, food will be here in a few minutes etc.) There are a lot of restaurant choices near Golden One Arena, I will explore those and not return to this one.

2 starts for excellent customer service. Waiter name was Anthony & he was awesome. Food was not the best. Tasted like water with the added sauce- no seasoning. Later had a stomachache as well. Pricey food that is definitely not worth it. Would not return.

Fairly busy as soon as they opened up. Staff seemed in a rush with little attention to customers. Seemed more concerned with seating then actual greetings. Ordered the fried shrimp with Cajun and the gumbo. The shrimp tasted extra salty while the gumbo portions unfortunately matched with its low price for the small portion. Overall 50 dollars for 3 items and a margarita that was barely tasteful seems a bit extra.

We were looking for a quick bite before a concert, so seafood seemed doable. The wait wasn’t bad, 15 minutes to get seated. We ordered the soft crab basket and the catfish basket, my friend asked that the fish be fried hard, once she received it, it was not! The manager did take it off our bill, which was nice. I did love the lemon pepper fries, the soft crab was so so. The ladies restroom was a hot mess! Paper every where, it was obvious no one had serviced it in hours, we didn’t see any one on the way on out to let them know. Oh, they didn’t have lemons, which we thought was odd for a seafood restaurant.. overall it was just okay.

Our waiter, Brandon, was great. Very personable. It was a busy night, so it took a bit long for a few items to come out, but everything tasted great. The calamari appetizers were very tender, and in addition to all of the seafood we had for dinner, I had the fried catfish basket with fries, and the catfish was very most and tender - better than I expected. It would be nice if they had a bigger craft beer selection like a couple IPAs, but the margaritas were tasty. We're looking forward to going back.

Love this place!!! And, if you park in the parking garage next to it, mention it to your server and you'll get a free pass ticket that covers for about 1 hr! I love their fried shrimp with the lemon pepper fries! Oh, and the garlic and butter corncobs! The staff was very professional and great. Definitely good for a dinner and hit the town kind of night!

First time there, this past Saturday and the food was amazing. The wait for the table was reasonable and the wait time from ordering food to getting the food was surprisingly fast as well. I can't wait to come back.
