The place is about ten kilometers from Puri and on the way to Konark. A nearby famous location is Toshali Sands. Nuanai nature camp is actually a resort run by Odisha Forest Development Corporation. The place is inside the forest and there are 10 air conditioned tents with amenities like comode, geyser, etc. The cottages are surrounded by greeneries and very near to a river namely Nuanai. The sea beach is about 3 kms from here. They are willing to take there against a fare of Rs. 250. You can enjoy boating too but the rate is very high. A nice place to enjoy a vacation. There are four spotted deers who will visit your tent every now and then. Now the cons - Service is too bad. All food etc. are included in the package. But food is lousy. They are even reluctant to serve one extra cup of tea, even if you are willing to pay extra. Nothing extra is available. There is not a single shop nearby. And the timings are as tight as a prison. Breakfast between 8 and 9, diner from 8 to 9 morning tea at 6-30 etc. It seems that you are in a military barrack.

Location is good, but the service is pathetic. Food Quality and Quantity is very poor compared to any other eco tourism. Staffs are helpless as the forest department officer - Govt. Of Odisha is ceasing their mere job of providing facility to tourist/ visitor. Looks like something questionable is happening at the top management of this location. Even on add on payment the staffs were instructed to not provide any receipt. Worst experience!

Location is next to nuanai river. Activities that you can do are kayaking, cycling, nature trek walks, visit beach, park is there for kids with swing and slide, you can request for bonfire or Barbeque. There are 4-5 deers inside the nature camp who come near your tent to say Hello. Food is ok and staff as usual are courteous when you visit any Govt run properties.

It was an amazing stay. Food was low on oil & spice (perfect for the gut). Location is calm & secluded from city hustle and bustle. Tents are good. Only issue was one of our tent's A/C was malfunctioning repeatedly throughout the night, which made our sleep uncomfy (due to summers). Otherwise overall it was a nice experience.

The location is good. Situated far away from the buzzing city life. Good if you are only planning for a day or maximum 2. Room service (cleaning) wasn’t available. Landline Phone didn’t work. Food provided was good in taste but not much options to chose from. They have a set menu and are generally adamant to accept your request. Parking wasn’t available. You need to park your vehicles under trees for shade. Since the location is in a poor network area you will probably get bored in a few hours time. Entertainment as such isn’t available. They have a few games/ kayaking but they won’t keep you occupied for an entire day. The location is decent for just staying and rather spending time in Puri/Konark. Be aware if you are visiting this place in summer.Air conditioning were malfunctioning. Prices are very high looking at the service they provide. The location is just near Toshali resort. You get a superb feeling when you enter the resort main gate till you reach the accommodation area. Bed and bathrooms were good. The location also has a beach nearby which can be visited. It’s clean and gives you a very private beach kind of feeling. Couple of deers can be seen within the property premises. Best time to visit would be during winter. They charged extra for added individuals which is OK but receipts weren’t provided which is a big problem. The tent accommodation was good and it also has a decent verandah space where you all can chill. All in all go to this place if you want to stay away from crowd and enjoy peace. Don’t expect any sort of entertainment or engaging activities. Go to Puri for that.

For Me this is a place where u only want to stay.. no activity no wild animals.. Best place for senior citizens n parents who has Baby below 5 yrs.. Neat n clean place, bathrooms were clean, Bedsheets were clean however tent were dirty.. Slides n swing available for children. Food were teasty. For evening pakoda extra charges. Staff were cordial. They have deer as pet, so u can feed them.. giving good wives.. You can go to the near sea beach. Boating is available while high tide.

Rooms are good and clean. Well maintained tents. Less people are going here so, staff are not cleaning every day. You might find some spiders here and there, however it's expected in a nature camp. Better to go at winter or autumn else it is too hot in the summer. Overall you will get a jungle experience. Location is way distant from main road. You will not find any emergency services quickly.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are complimentary and limited to number of person mentioned in the reservation voucher. Children from 4 years to 18 years accompanying the parents and Driver of the vehicle will be charged extra at the destination as per tariff of the destination to be paid at the destination. Please check regarding the entry charge. In some OFDC Nature Camp the Forest Entry Fee to be paid on spot.

Service was very good. However, the cottages are costly as compared to the quality of rooms provided. Also, the location could have been better if it would have been a beach facing hotel.

This place is a complete scam, no facilities , nothing. If you pay Rs.5000 for the resort, then only you get all facilities, otherwise they just charge you Rs.40 per head and parking charges and you get nothing, not even drinking water. COMPLETE SCAM

Pretty sad state of affairs despite a lovely location and nice tents. Loud music parties going on till one complains to forest dept. Food service is always late. Tents have everything - towels were smelly. Beds were creaking. This place can be wonderful if taken care by forest dept.

Great staying with kids and family in the embrace of nature . The jungle , river and nearby beach is awesome . Excellent food and very cordial staffs . Great experience in Swiss tent cottages with Excellent hygiene and cleanliness. The most privilege to live with deers . Missing one room heater and a electric kettle

Nice location amidst nature and river side with access to the cleanest beach. Homely food. Well mannered staff. The best part is friendly deers roaming within the campus. Liked the calm and quiet environment. The place has a much greater potential if maintained little better.

It is a wow experience to stay here at the Nuanai nature camp, Odisha. Absolute calming resort amidst the jingle, AC tents, gardens, decent restaurant, beach nearby....what more one can need for a lazy vacation !!

Only good thing is, you are close to the nature. Rest you need to have your own transportation to reach as it is on sea beach. Staff are friendly.

An awesome place to spend your weekend. The location is beyond beautiful. And the staff are very humble and friendly. Give the place a try , it will be worth it .
