If you've never climbed a ziggurat, well, you're really not missing much. Its a spiral walkway to the top, with no handrails and a little viewing area.. fun and interesting actually, if you're looking for something different and unique! Plus, this one offers some fantastic views!

Drive past the first yellow sign, and park at the brown parking sign just past. Google takes you to a corner and the road keeps going, it is a bit bumpy though. There’s a short hike up through a sandy path, and you’re rewarded with a 360 view of the valley and the Sangre de Cristos mountains. Great place to reflect and meditate.

A 1/4 mile or so hike uphill from the parking area. The trail up the hill is sandy, so wear appropriate shoes. Beautiful views, watch out for wind. Lots of sweet rock designs visitors have put together around the base of the Ziggurat.

Beautiful place to come take in the views, relax, meditate and feel at peace. You need to walk quite a bit to get up to the top as there isn't parking adjacent to the structure but it's worth it! (I wouldn't recommend the hike up for people with trouble walking/climbing).

Very strange place but beautiful. The drive IS ROUGH, read that again so you sure your realize it. If you are driving a car you may have an issue as you get close. You WON'T be able to turn around until you get there. Keep going until you see a sign with an arrow that says parking, if you don't see it keep going. It's a 10min sandy hike to the top.

Loved it! Very cool and random structure to visit. It's on private property, with a few areas to park and a trail that leads right to it. It's on top of a hill, with a beautiful view of the valley, the mountains and the great sand dunes in the distance. Definitely check it out!

While it might be small, it’s got big character & beautiful views. There is a small parking lot at the bottom & it’s a very quick walk to it, def a kid friendly “hike.” It was somewhat busy, if you want to beat the crowds, maybe go super early & catch the sunrise.
