the service was incredibly slow. it took at least 15 minutes for a server to even get to the table even though they weren’t busy at all. the food took about another 45 minutes to come out (we ordered 2 cheeseburgers) the burgers were incredibly greasy and the bun was soggy. overall not a great experience at all. not to mention the meal costed $45 ! i wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone i actually cared about.

Great place. Simple food but done well above standard. Excellent beer! Try them all. Short stay in the area but had come back. Opie, our server, was the nicest guy. Stop by here for a good burger, shrimp, pork or beef. All good. Zoom in on the pic. Great experience. I forgot to take a picture of the food because it looked too good to pause! Added a photo of Jack 1 year later!

We brought our service dog for dinner and after ordering, the bartender states this is a "no dogs allowed" establishment. We corrected her saying our dog is a trained service dog, and rather than correct the situation she made the assumption that our service dog was an emotional support animal. And said regardless she isn't allowed because they can't afford the insurance. Again, we have a trained service dog. However they allow wild cats so that's great. It's Florida BBQ so have reasonable expectations EDIT: As stated in my above review as I see a reply was given by the owner, this was a trained service dog. Not an ESA. We were refused with the assumption she was an ESA and NOT asked what service she provided.

I got to location and I ask bartender ask me to go to him to serve me when I was already sitting, I was over charge for a drink just because he didn't want to serve due to my nationality.

My husband and I stopped by briefly while passing through town. My dad and I visited the owner Brud here when I was in High School and I remember when it was just a hole in the wall bar with a pool being built. Over the past 2 decades they have grown and expanded to meet the community needs, the home brews have become local staples, and the feel has still remained the same. It’s a great spot to hang out and incredible to think about how far it has come.

Great bacon cheddar burger and delicious BBQ. We also had the ribs and they were perfectly done. The orange BBQ sauce with red pepper flakes is awesome. Sit at the bar and watch the beach go by while enjoying a beverage and some friendly conversation. Worth a trip!

Seems like the Owner Prides himself as Inhospitable. Reading the other reviews I’m not alone. Though being completely outdoors, it’s not Dog Friendly. Though it comes up in searches as being such. Citing insurance is a cop out. It’s clearly prerogative.

In my Life this is the worst place I’ve ever encountered. Underage Drinking. Drunk Kids they call bartenders. Must be payoffs with the Police. Sign of the times. Sorry bunch of folks hang there.

Update! This bar's response is very thin on substance as it does not provide statutes or legislation to prove it's point. We felt very mistreated as we have been to many bars in Saint Augustine and all over America and never had any issues. This bar did not welcome us and failed to be forthcoming to the truth. Original review. Very bad manners from bartender. Refused to take international ID to attend 33 year old customer. Unlike every other bar, very nasty. Must change their management ASAP.

If you want bugs in your food this is the spot to be, staff made our group feel unwelcome when we brought issues to there attention.. The owner thinks he’s the best think that has walked on earth. It’s pathetic. Hope someone else has a better time. Bloody marry is terrible!!! Id rather drink dog food!

Place make you feel almost like a bar in front of the beach ! But I don’t understand why it’s so quiet. I mean bar outside if they don’t want customers to play music in their phones at least hey should play music in a little speaker they have on the top of the Red Bull cooler. It’s Friday 7:30 and feel like church seating out here. Let’s fix that place it’s good !

Amazing food we had the bbq shrimp, ribs and chicken sandwich excellent food! Me and my boyfriend went and drank, ate food and played pool but didn't feel welcome it felt like a pretty closed minded group. The bartender seemed though though, but 2 guys minding their own business, drinking and playing pool shouldn't get stared at and made to feel like they shouldn't be there.

This is a great example of an old Florida beach bar. The staff is fun, the food has always been great, and now they have their own brewery! We'll be here whenever we're in town.

Worst food, worst service ever. Ordered peel and eat shrimp cold, they came hot. No problem until I tried to eat them. They we overcooked. And my "bartender " was so "none present. " So I went down the street and had the best time and a great meal.

First time at Jack's. We had micro brews and they were very good. BBQ was good and our bartender Woody was awesome... Very chill place....

A block from the beach stunning views spacious property with a little corner bar a tiki bar and a barn with a jukebox and pool tables. Public pool and an amazing absolutely breathtaking Brewery. The beer is stellar and the staff are amazing. The food is to die for in a must when you're in the ancient city. Eat where the locals eat that's what I say

Really nice brewery with a lot of different and interesting beers. Last December we bought several to go, canned on the spot. Today, on July 3rd we still have some of them and it's still in excelent condition.

We were only going to go here because of their affiliation with Nights of Pints. Upon arrival, it barely appears like it should be allowed to open. Staff was unfriendly. Despite being almost completely outside, the venue is one of the few in town that isn’t pet friendly. All in all super disappointed with the experience.

The new brewery is fantastic! Each beer is distinct, yet well balanced. Delicious!

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat. By our surprise, we found this hidden treasure - a new addition to Jack's BBQ from 4,5 months ago ( we knew it from Cynthia - our host) - Brewery place! We love it. It has nice choices. We love Hey Boo Boo - highly recommended IPA. Our host Cynthia was great welcoming us to the area and place, we shared our stories and love chatting.

I was there late night just to grab a beer or two picking up a friend after work. This is the type of place where lots of the young locals go. Now to make it clear by “young” I’m talking just about EVERYONE considering my own age. But the atmosphere was fun and energetic. The bartender seemed to know everybody there. The friend I was with ordered margarita and the bartender made it from scratch! For the type of place (talking beach shack) that was impressive! Next time I’ll have to try some of Jack’s bbq and I’ll let you know how that is!!

Alway good food and friendly people, not everyone's choice but it's a locals bar and is usually a good sign of good service and friendly staff

Cool ambiance for a drink, but they must be known for their barbecue. Their fish sandwich, fried mushrooms and fried shrimp were bland with absolutely no flavor. Their version of Texas toast is literally two slices of toasted White bread: no butter, no flavor, nothing.

Don't kid yourself, this is a bar that happens to serve food. Ribs were charred and dry, very little flavor. Baked beans, can get better right out of the can. I would however drink beer here, very accessible.
