I've read folks saying this place to be a hidden gem. Indeed, to my delight I'd have to concur. Amiable people serving fresh food to eager folks looking for that classic american diner experience.

What a nice little spot for breakfast! We had great service and healthy portions for a wonderful price. The weather was great and outside dinning was really enjoyable.

I ran across this little gem in my travels and decided to give it a whirl. Plenty of seating. I was immediately asked about my drinks, I ordered coffee and water. I had the fried bologna and eggs with hashbrowns and biscuit and gravy. Phenomenal breakfast, my coffee never ran dry, friendly waitress, great service. Good place to eat, just being cash or check as they do not accept plastic. I give it 2 thumbs up.

First time here this morning and everything was delicious and came out incredibly fast! I will have to say the thing that made me happy, aside from the great food, and fast service, was the sign on the window! The sign read, We think our staff is pretty amazing! Please don't kill their spirits with the use of negative or unkind words.If you feel you can do a better job we're accepting applications. As a 20 year server, this resonates strongly with me.A lot of businesses only care about the money, and not their staff. Thank you for showing me a business that excels in both!!

This review is based solely on my experience and my personal opinion. this was my first time at the "Lady Di's Diner" (8/22/21). FOOD: I ordered Blueberry smothered Pancakes and an orange juice. usually all I eat for breakfast is Pancakes, so I know what a good pancake should taste like. Pancakes where stodgy and thin.... the opposite of fluffy. they were dense and chewy. They blueberry sauce they pour on them has a nice flavor and helps with the lack of flavor of the pancakes. Yeah, good handmade pancakes (not from a mix or box) taste like fresh eggs and milk.... not the case here. The orange juice was store bought orange juice, NOT freshly squeezed (they should put a note on the Menu). STAFF: the old man is very nice and friendly, old school welcoming. the rest of the servers are middle age women, nice and friendly. my Server got me the order within 5 minutes. They knew all the other customers that probably were locals or acquaintances and they were very amicable with them. CLEALINESS: when I got there the place had crumbs on pretty much all the chairs and most of the tables, and I kept changing spot till I found a clean one. the floor was not clean either and the crumbs/sweet juices attracted birds and bugs. if you keep it clean that does not happen. even if it is outside. my Menu had ketchup stains on it. SMOKE ISSUE: I did not know that in the outside patio Smoking was allowed so I sat next to a couple and before I knew they both started smoking cigarettes'. I had puffs of smoke coming my way and I had to eat with the constant smell of smoke under my nose. Horrible. PLACE: when I got there I decided to sit at the outside patio/porch.... so I do not know what it looks like in the inside. The outside porch's furniture is 70's style.... chairs, benches and tables are chipped, worn, stained and uncomfortable if you wanna sit for more than 10 minutes. And the overall look is pretty messy. RESTROOMS: did not use. PRICE: $10.90 for a a stack of pancakes and a big glass of orange juice is a good price. PRICE ISSUE: before leaving I asked the server to bring me the check and so she did. my check was $10.90 and I gave her $20. She never got me the change back. Since I did not have any proof that I gave her $20I left the place without asking as I do not like confrontations or arguments. CONCLUSIONS: I would not go back there. I was NOT impressed at all with the food, the place and the service.

Old school diner indulgence! Huge menu, will tweak most anything you request, and delicious cure the morning after a too-fun night out!

Darling little breakfast spot. Dining al fresco was delightful with great service and tasty eats.

New to the neighborhood, I placed a takeout order and when I picked it up they said they only accept cash. They offered me to Venmo or cashapp which was convenient. When I get home my order had no syrup for my very light pancakes, and my sausage was so dry I had to drench it in my own syrup I had at home, and it still wasn’t good. I’m disappointed that this place had such great reviews and only few blocks away from my new house.

Food was amazing and affordable for the amount received and the service was fast, friendly, and fantastic. Loved the waitresses personalities also!

Been here 3 times. It is so good! Even brought guests this last time and they enjoyed the food as well. The staff is super friendly too! Highly recommend. I just wish they were open longer. I also want to try their lunch at some point since I've only had breakfast.

Hear me out: the food was not incredible. The pancake was fairly flavorless and the French toast was mushy. The sausage may have been yesterday's. But! The service was absolutely awesome, the French toast had great flavor, just wasn't cooked well. And did I mention the service? I'll go back for the waitress alone. Maybe the cook was having an off-day, or someone didn't turn up. There was a mistake on the bill (they charged us for something they never delivered), but there was zero hassle when we pointed it out. And the coffee was amazing! Best coffee in St Louis so far. The hash browns were fresh. You know how some places, they taste like the oil is old or the grill isn't clean? Not at all here, I loved the hash browns. The place could use some acoustic tiles, but I was so happy here, that has to count for a lot. The booth was the most comfortable I've sat in for a while. I will definitely go back for another try. The awesome waitress and the lovely woman at the register are worth more than any basic bacon. You go to a diner for the experience, not the haute cuisine. This place has that magic. It's been several hours, and I feel like I ate at a very clean place, and that I was welcome and wanted there. I went in with a smile, I left with a smile, and I'm still smiling several hours later. That's really all that counts in life.

It is an amazing place to eat, the waitress was very nice and polite, the food was excellent, I would recommend the kitchen sink meal I hope your really hungry if u get it . It's alot of food. That kept our coffee hot and fool. She checked on us often to see if we needed anything else. It a very good restaurant and clean , it's like your having a family get together. Really nice atmosphere felt like home.

Very accommodating for our large lunch group. Waitress staff were very pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. Great burgers & onion rings! Huge breakfasts and variety galore on their menu. Would love to go again!

Went w friends that are very familiar w wait staff & menu. Ordered what the waitress suggested w hash on side. It was 4 sure one of the best things I ever put n my mouth. I will definitely be back to try everything.

This place will be a new spot we want to visit every time we are in the area. Plenty of tables open at 9am on a Tuesday. The food options were plentiful and reasonably priced $51 for 6 of us). The bacon was the best bacon I've ever had at any restaurant, it was thick and big. They buy it specially and have it shipped from Iowa! Staff was awesome and accommodating for my husband and I and our 4 kids! The coffee was very good and those pancakes, so good! Our kids loved it and are glad we went instead of going to waffle house.

Perfect way to start our day! We're not in St. Charles very often but would be willing to drive there just to eat at Lady Di's! This was our first time here and the whole family enjoyed it. You get LOTS of magically delicious food, service is uber-friendly and fast and the bathroom was nice and clean. Definitely try this place!

Arguably the best small local diner experience in St. Charles County. I'm a pretty heavy eater, and even I usually end up leaving with leftovers due to their generous portions. If you haven't been before, know that they're cash/check only - no cards.

Delicious breakfast ! Pancakes were so soft and delicious. I had eggs and hash browns too , everything was great. My coffee was excellent and I never had to ask for a refill the service was awesome. Great little place for a excellent meal. Remember to bring cash .

We have breakfast here whenever we visit St. Charles. Service is always great, food is the best!! Small indoor space, large outdoor seating area.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Everyone is so friendly. Food and atmosphere are wonderful! Love the no frills patio seating. Dog friendly. I wish there were more places like this. The only drawback is that they only take cash. Fortunately, they have an ATM on site. Still rating a 5/5!
