This property has really disappointed this last visit. The rooms are very substandard in terms of the so- called enhanced cleaning. I found a condom package under the mattress, urine stained mattress and lots of biological remnants from all the previous guests. Despite having this experience, I would like to say, the service manager moved me to a different room that I felt made up for the lack of enhanced sanitation during the pandemic. I have pictures of the undesirables that I took for you to view. Overall, the property is very good in terms of the location and the environment. Choose wisely šŸ˜Œ.

Great place for short stays. There is no closet to hang clothes, just a tiny metal bar with hangers. They do not clean your room unless you specifically ask for it. Locations great. Within walking distance of restaurants and shops.

We have pets, very clean for a place that allows pets! Also I was in the area back in November and left a pillow at the hotel, after trying to arrange the mail it out I realized I was going to come back through there 2 months later so I asked him to just hold it. When I got there Gretchen was ready with my pillow and she was so polite and so professional and had all the information that I had provided to them. I will definitely stay here again.

This place stinks. Literally. Iā€™ve stayed at 4 other Tru properties on a cross country road trip the past 2 weeks. All were delightful experiences, super clean rooms and friendly front desk. Iā€™m not asking for much and looked specifically for Tru because the hotels in Nebraska and Ohio were so great for my needs. I check in here at 10pm and the front desk woman who probably shouldnā€™t be working in hospitality forgets to write my room number on the key, then gives me attitude when I ask her what room. Then I go to the room and it smells like housekeeping dumped a bottle of lemon cleaner on the greasy floor, so pungent it blew my mind they could ever let a guest in it. The woman gave me attitude and a new room that was only slightly better and has a terrible musky smell. The bed looks slept in, thereā€™s hairs all over the bathroom, the TV doesnā€™t work and Iā€™m lying in this junk mattress with springs poking at my back. This Tru is straight garbage compared to what itā€™s supposed to be. Highly donā€™t recommend. *this comment on my review is really indicative of the zero effort, crumby way this hotel is runā€¦ same comment as on other posts, without even punctuation, pretty lame.

Beds are very uncomfortable. Not the usual Hilton beds we're used to. Rooms. Have cheap furniture. Came back from a restaurant and asked front desk person for a milk. She said "no milk ", just like that. Funny that in the breakfast hour, lots of milk available ? Breakfast was cheap and minimal. Paid $240 for one night. EEEK. Stayed June 29th.

The hotel is very nice and inviting. The rooms are very modern. I would think spending that much money on decor that a little more money would go into the BEDS. I cannot believe for the money I spent that I received zero sleep. The beds were super hard and could not get comfortable. Pretty disappointed.

Great location on Streets by Saint Charles. The room was very clean and the sound proofing kept our room nice and quiet. The breakfast is above average for a hotel as well. The automatic pancake machine is a must try!

Everything about this hotel is quite nice. New chic looking rooms, VERY quiet, hard floors throughout (no carpet), great shower. Beds are QUITE hard and uncomfortable but clean and will probably be quite a bit better as they age a little.

This Tru hotel by Hilton was very nice. Rooms were clean as well. Stayed on 5th floor and it was quiet. They had a made to order breakfast. There is a fresh pancake maker also which was one of a kind. All the hotel staff was friendly. Gretchen and Josh helped us Saturday AM and they were very friendly. Didnā€™t catch the ladies name doing breakfast on 11/4, but she was also very pleasant. Would stay here again. Hotel is surrounded by tons of places to eat and in a very convenient location.

A wonderful stay! The desk lady was very kind and helpful, and the staff all around were up on their toes and active. The breakfast is great, too! I only took one star off because the fire alarm went off at about 9 PM, but after helping the desk lady with silencing the fire alarm, and finding out the source of the alarm (someone was smoking cigarettes and tripped the smoke detector in room 201 according to the control panel), it was smooth sailing. I had a very good time!

When you walk in the front doors it is bright and inviting. We was greeted by Gretchen as soon as we got there. We was early but since our room was ready she checked us in. She helped us sign up so we can start earn rewards.i told her I had read many great reviews about her and had to see who this Gretchen was. When we got to our room she called to make sure everything was satisfactory. In the bathroom they had extra bottles of hand soap, body wash and shampoo since they were low. They have a coffee, tea and hot chocolate area for guests, as well as a hydration station. Later we was downstairs and Josh made sure to address us and make sure everything was good. The next morning while at breakfast Gretchen stopped to say hi and see how our night went Later after check out Gretchen called me to give me my member ID so I didn't have to wait for letter in the mail. Every hotel needs a Gretchen in their staff!!!!

This is a clean hotel in a very nice apartment/restaurant community right off of I-70W. My problem is the thin walls and floors. Hearing the neighbors TV...luckily I was on the top floor and did have anyone "walking on my head", but you could hear guest walking who were adjacent to the room. These companies just put anything together to save their dimes and spend ours.

I stayed here for the weekend in early October. I thought it was great. It certainly felt new and clean and the staff looked after you above and beyond. Its not a high end hotel but I didn't feel slighted in any way. Gretchen at the front desk went out of her way to make sure everything was looked after. I used points and payed and Gretchen arranged it so I did not have to switch rooms. I needed an extra blanket and she just went and got it instead of waiting for room service to grab it. I appreciated the speed! One night I arrived late and I asked Khaty, who was working the front desk, where to park as all the stalls around the hotel were taken. She said, I will move my car, you can have my spot! What? i've only heard of such customer service in the 1950's or in a commercial! Thanks for going above and beyond. Breakfast was good, but I've seen better selections before. I'd certainly stay again. As an aside, my first of 3 nights in St Charles was at the Best Western across the interstate and that felt like at least a couple notches down. The building felt a bit older and dingier and I'd definitely stay at the Tru over the Best Western. I'm a bit shocked they rate the same, frankly.

Checked in to spend the day resting while our daughter was at a nearby event at the St. Charles Convention Center. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Located right by a small district area with multiple eating and shopping establishments, or an AMC movie theater is right around the corner. Quick and easy access onto and off of I-70. This is a fantastic alternative if you have an event at St. Charles Convention Center, but can't/don't want to stay there. We'll be back.

Ariel was knowledgeable, helpful and very pleasant. Granted, I have always stayed at the Hyatt, but after my experience at the Hilton, I will be staying at Hilton hotels from now on. "It really does matter where you stay." Thank you for a comfortable stay, a great night sleep and pleasant check-in.

Great location!! Walking distance from QuikTrip, coffee, ice cream, bars, and restaurants. They had a fun wall of suggestions for things to do around the area. Easy pool access by the elevator and a water refill station right there. Front desk is laid out in a circle, so they greet you right away. I must have picked a busy week, because this place was packed. I booked a king room and arrived around 5pm. It took about 30 mins to check in due to the line. Staff mentioned they were mostly booked this night. The first room they sent me to was not cleanā€¦ Trash on the floor, unmade bed, dirty towels in the bathroom. I almost thought I walked into someoneā€™s elseā€™s room!! Lugged all my stuff right back downstairs. 2 other guests I had no connections with also had the same issue! Cleaning crew must have been understaffed that day because we all got used rooms that were supposedly cleaned. Front desk was super apologetic to us all and got us all new room assignments. I was moved to a 2 queen room for no price change, so that was nice. They gave me a goodie bag of waters and snacks. Very nice of them! I also realized I forgot my electric toothbrush late that night and staff were so helpful. They gave me a spare toothbrush free of charge. So nice of them! Overall, atmosphere of the hotel made me smile. I think itā€™s just the layout, the bright colors, the lemon products, I donā€™t know, something about itā€¦ This place is a must stay just for the location. I was happy to be so close to a place to shop, dinner to eat, and a coffee shop to hang out in, all within walking distance to my hotel.

The hotel is beautiful but we had ants covering my son's beverage that was sitting on his night stand when he woke up.. So gross. Also I had a clogged toilet but the virtual assistant from the phone did not work to get a custodian at night so I was given a plunger. So gross. They told me to keep it in my room. Finally a custodian showed up the next day and used an auger but he still left the plunger. He says I can use it just in case. He used up the toilet paper testing the flush strength. Also who wants to plunge a toilet on vacation? The cocktail hour looked a little unsafe because there was a massive bowl of salsa that everone was dipping into with a ladel that rested to deeply into the bowl. Ewww The bartender acted like I was bothering him. My family was there for our reunion so thousands was spent but he was annoyed telling me about the free drinks. How crass! I will remove this rating when I am contacted about my experience.

Room: Bed was comfortable, AC stayed on and at the cool temperature I wanted, shower was good and water pressure was good along with nice hot water which is an important point for me. Did have a little bit of noise issue a few times but it didn't seem to happen while I was sleeping, although I do tend to go to bed later than most. Outlet placement was good no complaints and I liked how I could turn the lights on and off on either side of the room. No issues with bugs or cleanliness. Service: Staff was always friendly and seemed present except for my last night when I wanted to buy a drink for my dinner. I waited 5min and could not find a staff member to help me and just gave up. That is the only time I did not see anyone in the lobby to help (go figure). Location: Several restaurants you can walk to and a gas station. I tried the taco place next door and it was decent. Overall I will most likely stay here again for more work trips.

Tru by Hilton was an amazing hotel. Probably one of the best places I have stayed. The staff was absolutely amazing. They did have some computer issues so took a while to check in but were so considerate, apologetic, and offered everyone beverages while they waited. Every time we saw a worker they greeted us, even the cleaning staff. The room was super clean as well. This hotel is located in an amazing spot walkable to restaurants and fun shopping spots. My one complaint was at night the parking lot got full but we just parked across the street in front of mission taco and was completely fine. Again, really recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the St.Charles area.

Front desk staff was on a couch behind the check in when we arrived. Girl was more interested in chatting with her co worker than finding our reservation. Room: smallest room I have EVER seen. It was pretty clean, except the urine stain on the floor in front of the toilet. The TV had nearly zero WiFi reception so the Direct TV was completely useless. Extremely disappointed for our anniversary weekend. Love Street of St. Charles, but wish we would have went with Drury Inn. ***I wanted to add the front desk staff (Gretchen) was very friendly when checking out. I would give her 5 stars.

Euro design, large welcoming lobby area with plenty of seating, even a pool table. The room has plenty of surfaces for stuff and many hooks on the wall to hang jackets and toiletry bags. Tile floors, no rugs. The lights made the room nice and bright. These light were all on ONE switch so the four very bright lights over the two queen beds made it difficult to darken one area while having light in another. They do provide wall mounted soap and shampoo, a very large TV with a mediocre Direct TV picture. The website states EV charging not available however it is available in the adjacent parking garage. A Tesla Supercharger is also in the area.

This was a wonderful hotel to stay in very upbeat. I give the rooms a four star due to our shade was broken and I found food in the bed and our TV had a line going down the middle of it. Other than that the bathroom was very clean and so was the floor. Breakfast was very nice and very clean and the lady attending to it was very nice and kept it stocked. It has a nice outdoor mall right across the street from the parking lot which we did not use because we were in town for other reasons. But it would be very nice to come back and go to those.

Stopped here for the day and didnā€™t disappoint. The lobby looked very ā€œplayfulā€ and colorful. Next to plenty of restaurants (not really vegan friendly ones). It was pouring rain and our lights went out for about 6 seconds but came back on. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfast was average but didnā€™t get anything. No other complaints and would definitely stay here again.

This review is just for the breakfast. This was one of the best breakfast services Iā€™ve experienced in years. Simpler than an Embassy Suites but I thought it was just as good, and far better than any other hotel or restaurant chain. Special mention for Randy and Jessie for excellent, polite service and for keeping things running so smoothly even with a large crowd. Best part of our stay. Thanks!

If it wasn't for Gretchen and Jessica I would rate this one at two stars or less. Where to start? 1. We always reserve a top floor room as there is often a lot of sound from people above. And 2 out of 3 times this hotel can't clean the room we reserved "due to short staffing". So we end up on a lower floor listening to somebody stomp around above us at 5:00 in the morning. 2. The cleaning is spotty. The first time had a wet, used washcloth still hanging in the shower. This time there was popcorn on the floor and other food/garbage in the hallway by multiple doors, including ours. The desk lightbulb is burned out as well. 3. Picky I know, but due to health issues I need fiber for breakfast. Raisin Bran is pretty common for cereal in the majority of hotels, but this one apparently ran out several days ago (big empty Raisin Bran dispenser) and even the staff complained about it. Oh, and the milk that was out initially had expired, but they replaced it after it was pointed out. I generally leave five-star reviews, but I am afraid I just couldn't do it for this property. The location is perfect, with Jessica and Gretchen doing a fantastic job, so I will give this property another shot. And yes, I brought my own cereal this time...

Breakfast not stocked, credit card charged incorrectly, called after flight landed to discuss the discrepancy, and got the total run around over the phone, and finally able to resolve after thirty minutes. Asking for extra towels was like pulling teeth, three nights and two people require more than three towels. The side door didn't work when swiping with card. I stay over a hundred nights at Hilton properties for business, the check in / out staff needs to be better trained.

I recently stayed here with my family and dog and loved this hotel. The rooms were incredibly clean and the staff very friendly and professional. Walked to the taco shop on the corner across from the hotel for dinner. Definitely recommend.

Upon check-in, I was placed in the wrong room and it took approximately and extra 30-45 minutes to get my reservation straight. Upon arriving to my room, the room was not 100% clean. I requested the room to be cleaned, and it was not at all from Mon-Fri. I also complained multiple times about the bad pink bacteria to only be talked down to that it was not bacteria, but instead cleaner. I know what pink bacteria is and how dangerous it can be. In addition if it was cleaner, the cleaning solution would have washed away while taking a shower. I Had requested Mon night, Tues morning, and again Wed to no avail as the room nor shower was never cleaned. I brought it to the attention of the hotel staff to include the manager again before the bathroom was finally cleaned. After staying at Tru St. Charles before, i was shocked at how things were during this stay as well as how I was treated and disregarded over several days. Upon check out, I was ignored for approximately 15 minutes while three staff members carried on a conversation laughing and talking before I was ever acknowledged and asked if i needed assistance. I stayed 5 days days and 4 nights during this business trip and I can honestly say, I was displeased with the accommodations and quality of service!! I will rethink my travel plans before staying at this hotel again!!!! Very dissaitisfied!!!

Great location for our work convention that was at the St. Charles Conference Center. We could easily drive in and out, getting where we needed to be. And the location gives you plenty of places to eat, grab a snack or dessert, all within walking distance. We spent a couple of mornings here. The breakfast bar is just okay. I hoped for more options to eat but I also understand the TRU concept is minimalism. The 24 hour coffee was a plus.

Our stay was amazing as always. Tru by hilton is the way to go. We love the simplicity of the rooms. They have everything you need. The check in and out process through the Hilton app made it smooth. We used the digital key and never had to go to the front desk. We were able to get right to our room and start enjoying.

  • 2/5 Andy M. 1 year ago on Google
The app didnā€™t inform me at check in that rooms were not cleaned/serviced daily. New Covid policy I guess. Got that info from the front desk on the third night of my stay after I wondered why my room didnā€™t have clean towels or toiletries replaced. Front desk lady was nice and informed me of that and walked me to the laundry to get fresh towels. Beds were not comfortable and pillows flat. The first couple of night I saw the staff sitting on the couches in the evening playing on their phones. Wasnā€™t a good look. Breakfast was not great. Eggs were rubbery as was the sausage. Pancake maker was neat but were fake tasting vs. the waffle makers Iā€™ve used at hotels. No filtered water only juice or coffee or tea. It wasnā€™t an awful stay but I certainly wouldnā€™t go out of my way to stay at a Tru again despite being a Hilton honors member.

This was my first time staying at a Tru Hilton hotel. I wasnā€™t sure what to expect because the pictures seemed very simple. Our group was very surprised by this hotel. The customer service here was our first great impression (Andrew helped us get checked in a little early and was very helpful). The accommodations were also very impressive. This is one of those hotels that the pictures donā€™t do it justice. Theyā€™ve thought of everything. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the soap dispensers in the bathroom and shower. The soap smelled amazing (which never happens in a hotel). This is a hotel I will definitely stay at again. Breakfast was definitely one of the best complimentary breakfasts Iā€™ve ever had!! So many options. Location is perfect because there is shopping and restaurants right outside your front door. No vehicle needed!

So far this has been the WORST experience Iā€™ve ever had with a hotel. Got here on a late flight. Got told we could t check in properly, cause they were doing audits. But we paid for our room. Then once we got into A room. Power didnā€™t work in half the room. Wasnā€™t given a room key just a piece of paper to put it the key holder. Had to track the maintenance guy down for any help. And still took over 2 hours to get a room key. On top of that not one of the shades for the windows worked! I wouldnā€™t book a room here again if you paid me to stay!

  • 1/5 M M. 1 year ago on Google
This was the worst experience Iā€™ve had at a Hilton. Just no. Valet guys were sweet but our room got jumbled with others which caused about an hour wait for multiple families trying to check in and we ended up having another guest assigned to our room and they walked right in to our room. Two of the 3 elevators were down the majority of our stay. And we got to breakfast only to see about 2 items out, a disaster of a mess with dirty dishes, waiting 30 minutes for a cup or coffee and were told ā€œsorry the truck just didnā€™t come.ā€ I understand thatā€™s not the staffs fault but my gosh itā€™s frustrating when you pay nearly $200 a night to stay somewhere and have it be this bad. Really unfortunate. Wouldnā€™t recommend staying here sadly.

Clean facility and clean room. The room was a bit small but it had everything you need for a quick stay. The location is great because there are lots of restaurant options within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful when I accidentally locked my key in the room and needed help.

  • 3/5 Joe D. 1 year ago on Google
First time to this brand in the Hilton family. Smaller footprint then most of the other brands (Double Tree, Hampton Inn, etc.). Rooms are smaller but nicely decorated. What I have been having a lot of trouble with is the Hilton app digital key. 3 of the 4 times at different Hilton hotels the digital keys were never delivered to my phone, totally removing any of the convenience the app is supposed to supply. Ended up having to go back to the desk to get keys. Then, those 2 keys didn't let us back in to out room! Maddening. Back to the desk for 2 new keys. They have work to do. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay as the hotel is located in an area with a lot of great restaurants and bars.
