Equipment is alright, things break fairly often and the establishment is untimely with repairs. Gym is often left dusty. When the huge dust balls were complained about the staff response saying that it was cleaned up, only to come in the next day for it to still be there. The lone water fountain is now broken and will electrocute you if used, found that out today. Staff oversells gym causing much congestion and over crowding in the gym

The front desk associate made me feel very uncomfortable by talking about my account information in front of another guest. Without getting time to speak privately about the issue, he quickly picked up the phone to take a call and gave me a scolding look. When speaking about my personal information in a public setting I prefer a discretionary approach. The gym is clean and offers classes so that’s a plus.

Did not feel welcome coming in for a day pass. Front desk was immediately annoyed by us coming in. Over priced day passes. Facility and bathrooms were clean, good for a quick workout. I wouldn’t visit again because the staff member up front was unkind and judgy.

I have been to many gyms in my time! And this is okay, they really need to fix equipment on time it sits there for weeks without being fixed. The sales representative Ron was rude to me recently in response to me only asking him if he listened to a local radio station in regards to a recent Michigan Wolverines game. His response to me was I'm busy working! He completely cut me off and went to lifting weights wasn't even working! Normally I don't have too much of a problem with a whole lot of people but if you are a sales representative you should be friendlier to customers than that or at least have a more professional answer, example: I'm sorry I'm incredibly busy at the moment I really don't have much time to talk. Normally I would never even put a review up but that really bothered me people can call me anything under the sun I don't care but if you are spoken to by a customer who is already paying you should give them a more friendly response not such a rude one that really offended me it was in front of everybody to. It will really help my decision now when my contract is up.

My husband and I recently moved and can no longer go to powerhouse so back in March I canceled! I went into the building and canceled my membership I was told they would bill me $180 that I would be charged to cancel. I never received a bill just continued to get charged our monthly fees. Then got charged the yearly fee. I called in question what I was being charge for they told me because I didn’t cancel within 30 days of the yearly fee that I got charge for the yearly fee. No one at that location seems to know what they are doing. The girl on the phone said a manager would call me never did. Im being charged once again our monthly fee after I’ve paid the 180 already. I had my husband call up there to ask them why they’re still charging us the man on the phone said that they would’ve never said that they would bill me and asked if I came into the location to cancel. My husband said I did he said well someone’s gonna need to come in again, that that’s not how they do things. Well clearly they have no clue how to run the business. Told him a manager would call him back. I’m livid! I agreed to pay the $180 to cancel even though we don’t live in the location anymore and there isn’t a location near us to use. I shouldn’t even have to pay a fee but now there are trying to say no one ever canceled. I will never go to a power house gym again! Don’t sign a stupid contract!!!!

Ron! Super classy man! NOT. Came to the gym with a friend as a guest haven’t been there in years. Quickly filled out the form said I never been there before. (Haven’t been a member in almost 4 years & was briefly a member because of Ron’s harassment follow up style, I had to block their number!) as I’m leaving to grab my ID he hands it to the front desk receptionist & screams through the gym “OH SHE LIED SHES BEEN HERE BEFORE” grow up Ron! No more powerhouse for me EVER!

Hate to do this, but this is not a quality or serious gym. They may have a lot of cleaning staff, but first off it’s a gym not a janitor facility. They have two squat racks that are badly set up. Nothing bolted to the ground, awkwardly placed so that you can’t even use them to rack weights. No kind of bumper system or platform for deadlifts. A lot of the other equipment just isn’t that impressive. Treadmills are old. Machines are all old. Came in today and they closed because the power was out, what a joke. Thought I was paying for a professional commercial gym not somebody’s garage.

I love working out at this gym. Great coaches and members. All the workouts can be scaled to match your ability.

My favorite gym because it's close to my home and has everything I need for a great workout. Our whole family has a membership.

6 month review: - Fairly clean but fills up quickly and you'll find yourself waiting for equipment to continue your routine due to it's small size. - space is fairly cramped and you'll often have to watch out when using free weights - No deticated Deadlift Area - Most of the classes are ok at best but the male evening yoga instructor is steright up garbage. - There are cheaper options for better chains nearby that don't require you to have a long contract. TL:DR Like any gym this place will get the job done if you put in the work but there are better places nearby

Extremely rude!!! Desk attendant was gossiping about my girlfriend and I. Extremely overpriced day passes, $40!! They were irritated when I paid with cash as well. Will not be returning.

24 hour card access to members & recent renovations make it 5 stars for me. Fabulous, clean, little gym with good selection of free weights, machines, cardio & even a decent sized annex room for stretching, yoga or plyo workouts without having to do them in the middle of the gym.

I love this place ! Very clean , friendly staff and members .

It's got enough of everything you need to create a healthy body and great people to support you.

Haven’t actually been here but need to ask some questions? What’s the predominant demographic that goes here? Definitely looking to leave LA fitness on Morros. It’s too filled with that “dark demographic” of the Detroit area. Want a gym where there’s no dumb loud entitled and uppity monkeys. Would like a gym where there’s actual gym etiquette, but that’s hard here with all these dumb apes. What’s the membership price? I would be willing to pay higher because that would mean these animals can’t afford it (I mean they don’t have jobs, and their welfare check has to go for their 6 kids with 6 different moms, and their drug habit - you understand). Thoughts? UPDATE No takers? Really just trying to get away from these dumb smelly monkeys. Half the equipment here is broken because these beasts have no respect for anything or anyone. Bunch of big lipped wild animals over here.

This facility is clean, has wonderful staff, are helpful, and care about your overall health. The classes they offer are perfect for anyone starting out or that are advanced.

Highly recommend for a good workout, easy parking/entering and friendly staff. (Request: would be nice to have a hip thrust machine)

Staff is friendly. The facility and equipment are kept clean and there is always a large supply of disposable towels and sanitizers on hand.

Everyone is awesome, professional, friendly. The environment is great and exceptional to workout. The staff keep the equipment in great condition and clean at all times. It's open 24hrs and you can workout anytime.

I like the exercise classes at the gym. All the trainers are excellent and extremely knowledgeable. Best spin class ever had! The members are nice people and always feel comfortable working out there!
