Nopa! 🔥 This is not the restaurant it was a year ago or even two years ago. Food quality is poor. Presentation, taste, and portions just awful. Recipes far from the classics that we know and love. Makes me wonder if the sister restaurant downtown has become like this? (Hope not.) Greek bread cut thin and brought to the table cold. Entrees had to be sent back because they were cold-lukewarm. Waitperson was fleeting and rude. (Bus boy was attentive, customer-oriented, and should have her job.) This was a truly disappointing and extremely expensive and an altogether awful meal. You can get better Greek food at ANY ❤ Leo's location or Kouzina in Royal Oak. Their Greek food is authentic. ⚡Dionysus would not be pleased with Pegasus in SCS. 😕 Don't be deceived by cropped pics -- portions were smaller than they have ever been.

As the downtown Detroit restaurant the owners keep fresh Greek staple dishes on the menu and a staple friendly staff that withstands the work force ups and downs. This restaurant offers spacious patio spaces, weather permitting, outdoors. Usually not crowded, no wait to be seated. A safe bet for a nice, relaxed, informal restaurant outing.

I love the lamb and rice! Delicious and a great value! The patio area can be really loud at times.

Absolutely LOVED my experience at Pegasus Taverna. In all honesty I haven’t had much exposure to Greek food so I wasn’t sure what to expect prior to dining here. But let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised by everything from the service to the food. M My party was a decent size since my sister, her husband and my husband were in town visiting my brother in laws family. They’ve gone to this place for some time so it came with high expectations. We were all seated right away and opted for the outdoor patio since that’s what was recommended. I’m sure it’s quite nice when the weather is decent outside but on the night we visited it was pretty warm outside. But that didn’t stop the great experience. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. He answered any questions we had on the menu since we were unfamiliar. Honestly it felt like he knew us even though he didn’t. I love that their customer service vibe is so relaxed. My brother in law ordered the Appetizer combo for the table to have. Honestly I’m sure exactly what it included but the spread they had in it was absolutely delicious! Did I mention they bring fresh bread for the table too? The spread worked perfectly on the soft bread. For my main meal I went with the chicken gyro. It was amazing! Everything was so fresh and I added a bit of the spread from our appetizer dish to the pita. Perfect pairing! This place deserves more than 5 stars in my opinion. They have great customer service and their food is delicious! I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area again. I wish they had multiple locations so I could it more often. Highly recommend!

We had a table of 7 and it was after 8, but the service was excellent and the food was great. We like the Greek Town Pegasus but we LOVE the St. Clair Shores better. Don't have to pay additional parking, better area and the staff is so friendly.

What a wonderful experience. The Spanakopita was delicious. My date had leg of lamb. The food was so good and the service is excellent. They have a wide variety of beers on tap or in bottles. I highly recommend trying out this Greek restaurant. Opa!

I have a food sensitivity and the waitress didn't seemed bothered when I kept asking questions (I had my heart set on lamb and she helped me find a dish that worked). The food was amazing!!!!

Pegasus has been a local and family run Detroit "Greektown Staple" for over 24 years. Both their Greektown locations and St. Clair Shores location boast of their broad and authentic Greek menu. I am a St. Clair Shores local resident and typically dine at the St. Clair Shores Pegasus location. Their heated structured outdoor patio is perfect all year round with a plethora of natural light. Their outdoor heated patio tables recently got a facelift and they look classy! Much of their staff have remained loyal employees and you'll see a lot of the same faces. Their menu is diverse with all of the classic dishes you'd find locally in Greece and embodies the authenticity of Greek Cuisine. I'm a creature of habit and usually start with the Saganaki appetizer and pita bread. If you're anything like me, you'll have a hard time picking just one item so an entree! They have a combination platter with your choice of lamb, beef or chicken with Spanakoteropeta, Moussaka and Dolmathes served with rice and vegetables. If you're new to Greek Cuisine, this dish is for you! They have an assortment of authentic lamb dishes, as well. All of their meals are served with the traditional Greek-village style bread. When I traveled to Greece, I was able to take cooking lessons with a local chef in Athens and Pegasus' tomato sauce is above average. This most recent time I've dined here, David was our server and he was knowledgeable and authentic. They have a large parking lot so you won't struggle to find parking. They are able to accommodate large groups, as well. When I don't have time to dine-in at Pegasus, they are one of my take-out go-tos. They are not open on Mondays, but this seems to be a common post-COVID era restaurant theme, so it's not a big deal! If you're looking for an authentic taste of Greece without boarding a plane, Pegasus is a great selection!

Years ago I would have given them 5 stars. Ordered 2 grape leaves dinners. The rice was cooked but hard. The food has gone downhill. The Greek salad was delicious.

If you love Greek food, this is the place to go! Has all the charm of Greek Town without the hassle of going there. Pegasus is a great place to eat. I have always liked the food and service. The staff always does their best to make sure you have a pleasant experience.

Food was excellent! The reason for the 3 and 4 stars is that they should really look into investing into a kid section away from the adults that are out to have a nice evening away! I mean for the price you pay there should be little to no distraction from your date! The service could've been better especially when our server was distracted by her own kids half the time! The overall atmosphere wasn't bad but also could've been better! I'm 6'1" 210lbs. and when I have to push the table to one side so that I can get into the booth and then pull the table towards me so that my date could sit down there's a problem!! Dusty lights and light fixtures along with dirty plexiglass in between booths is just laziness! The back door should also have a sign telling customers to please use side door!

From the moment we walked in they were extremely rude and pushy. We walked in at 955 pm Friday night. Says they close at 11pm. They rushed us to order our drinks which they didn't haven't any top shelf products. Then multiple employees rushed us to order saying they were closing soon. Everything we tried to order they didn't have. Should've just told us u didn't want anymore business instead of making us feel like a burden. Will never attempt to eat here again. And will definitely be Sharing our experience with everyone we know. Absolutely horrible service.

always fantastic food, exceptional service day or night. have been here numerous occasions with large family groups, and this is my father's day lunch spot with my dad every year. beautiful patio in good weather, warm, inviting dining room year round.

Came here last Saturday to celebrate Mother's day early with my MIL and my husband. We came not long after the restaurant opened for the day. We received good service & the food was great too, considering my MIL wasn't able to get what she originally wanted.

Good Greek food. Nice atmosphere. GREAT service. There were 14 in my group. The server got all orders correct and we all ate at the same time. That doesn't always happen with a large group.

Hubby wanted lamb shank so we went for Sunday dinner because we heard great things about the lamb shank at this restaurant. We were greeted by a young hostess and with menus in hand walked in the opposite direction of the dining room to seat us and then said to us, "the heated outdoor dining area alright?" I told her absolutely not. There were no other diners in that area as I could see. We are a Black American couple in our 70s, so why would we want to eat outdoors in the middle of November when there was plenty of seating in the main dining area! That being said our server Kat was awesome and the food was great. We will be returning and if not for the experience with the hostess I'd have given 5 stars. I'm hoping management will address this if they happen to see this review.

We walked in & my date went to the bathroom, and THE waiter kept coming up to me. AFTER I had already explained I was waiting on my date... he came up to me THREE times ! Felt VERY rushed. Then, WHILE WE LOVE DOWNTOWN PEGASUS, we BARELY ATE / TOLERATED what we have always ordered from THIS ONE IN ST CLAIR SHORES... my Grape Leaves in lemon sauce, tasted NOTHING like the ones from downtown, It was HORRIBLE . ALL I COULD TASTE WAS MINT, , MINT ( for 2 hours after) & the lemon sauce was more like LEMON WATER. My date, who always gets the Chicken Lemonado , got maybe HALF of what he usually gets, and his green beans were also full of MINT. To TOP IT OFF , I was served PLAIN WHITE RICE, no tomato sauce as like downtown. When I told our waiter these things ( I was nice), he blamed it on downtown, saying they send it all to here. I definitely know there's not a HEAVY MINT ADDED to our traditional order. I will NEVER eat at this establishment and am SADDENED that downtown Pegasus started up another place that is so below SUB PAR. NEVER AGAIN !!@

We love the food here. They have vegetarian options! Husband wanted to go out for a hamburger but I suggested he may be happier with (meat) grape leaves from Pegasus. He got grape leaf dinner then said he should listen to me more often. I like the Greek salad and on this trip discovered their potato and eggplant sides, super delish!

Yum, this place is big and popular but don't worry they are quick with quality food. After a stadium event this is a must visit. My personal favorite is there sampler plate. Got to try it all.
