Just
joined
the
AF
@
24040
Harper,
SCS,
(former
MI
SOS
office)
and
the
experience
has
been
outstanding!
I'm
a
Senior,
with
membership
is
through
"Renew
Active",
(similar
to
Silver
Sneakers)
so,
other
than
a
small
cost
for
the
Entry
Fob,
my
insurance
pays
the
fees
to
help
keep
me
healthy!
"Brad"
was
the
Trainer
who
did
my
intake
and
first
workout
session.
He
impressed
me
from
our
first
phone
convo,
and
did
not
disappoint
in
person.
He
is
professional,
high
energy,
and
low
key,
all
in
one!
He
made
me
feel
very
comfortable
going
through
the
ropes
of
getting
signed
up,
loading
apps
on
my
phone,
and
learning
about
how
to
get
the
most
out
of
my
membership.
During
this
session
he
also
asked
a
TON
of
questions
about
my
fitness
experience,
current
goals
and
preferred
workout
cadence/style.
The
facility
is
CLEAN,
spacious,
well
organized,
and
equipped
with
a
wide
array
of
fitness
equipment.
Plenty
of
equipment
to
handle
the
small
group
of
members
that
were
there.
I
really
like
that
AF
has
a
relaxed
"small
club
feel"
and
atmosphere,
as
opposed
to
the
frantic,
cattle
herding
feel
of
'super
club"
(LA?).
It
is
also
locally
owned
and
operated,
which,
to
me
is
a
real
bonus.
There
are
no
lockers
rooms,
saunas
or
such,
which
is
fine
with
me.
They
have
2
clean,
roomy
tiled
restrooms
with
showers
(private),
and
a
3rd
restroom,
and
a
wall
with
storage
spaces
to
put
your
stuff.
A
fob
connected
vending
machine
provides
cold
drinks
if
you
forgot
to
bring
your
own.
Since
access
is
24/7,
using
a
small
fob,
I
can
squeeze
in
a
workout
any
time
I
want.
And,
their
phone
app
allows
my
to
monitor
how
busy
the
facility
is.
Induction
took
about
45
minutes.
Brad
set
me
up
with
a
complimentary
1
hour
coached
workout
session
for
the
next
week.
When
I
returned,
first,
Brad
stepped
me
through
a
weigh
in
and
body
composition
analysis
on
their
EVOLT
scale,
and
explained
the
results.
Then
he
coached
me
through
an
upper
body
workout
routine,
guiding
me
on
proper
use
of
the
machines,
and
proper
form
for
each
exercise.
A
really
important
step!
Once
the
coached
workout
was
completed,
I
was
on
my
own
to
do
some
stretches,
cardio,
and
wind
down.
I
observed
quite
a
few
members
come
and
go
during
my
session.
Everyone
was
friendly,
relaxed
and
frequently
using
the
wipes
that
are
provided
to
clean
equipment
after
use.
Very
nice
to
see!
As
a
bit
of
perspective,
I
did
a
lot
of
power
lifting
and
working
out
in
my
20's
-
40's,
and
my
Wife
and
I
owned
2
"ladies
only"
gyms
a
few
years
back,
so
I
understand
gym
ownership
and
great
customer
service.
If
you
are
looking
for
an
non-intimidating,
low-key
and
friendly
gym
to
get
a
workout,
I
HIGHLY
recommend
this
AF
location,
and
ask
for
Coach
Brad!
