Went in on a whim, so happy we did! Best truffle fries I've had nearly anywhere; the "Fantail Fries" were perfectly crispy and soft! Reuben was stunning and wife's chicken pesto was great. Definitely adding 'Buoys' as a MUST when visit the island. Server was great, even took a second to introduce us to the owners. Very friendly and gracious people! I wish you all well! We'll be back.

Stopped in on a whim. Amazing food (I had the Chicken Pesto) and wonderful service and experience. Alex was my server and he was GREAT! I hope to be back in town with my wife and I will definitely be bringing here her. She will love it!

Pesto chicken dish was ok, the “sun dried tomatoes” in the dish was a cold diced tomatoes vinegar pine nut mixture placed on each end of the asparagus. Caught me off guard to taste ice cold tomatoes. The herb mashed potatoes were homemade but had sand in them every so often while eating them. Pine nuts were all in there and not mentioned on menu. Also please note even though their web site lists hours open til 12, the kitchen closes promptly at 9:00. No bar snacks after that either.

We had no plans to be in St Ignace but my relative's car blew up late afternoon on a Thursday. We were lucky to get a room up on the hill near the car repair dealership and we just walked until we found an outdoor seating place that would accept a dog. The first place did not. This place did. I wasn't expecting much but we got it all.....great food, an amazing view, good live music from a lovely lady named SPRINGSTEEN, fantastic service, great drinks and a perfect ending to a bad day. I had fish tacos, my relative had lettuce wraps. We had a local Cider, cherry mules and a unique frozen drink called the Prop Wash.

Meal was delightful. The Bayou Pasta needed a touch more acid, possibly lemon, to make it pop. But it was delightful. The pesto chicken was done well with a balsamic reduction that tied it together flawlessly. Honestly, the Truffle fries were to die for, and we would return for those anytime! Andy was our waiter and his energy and attentiveness was much appreciated

We have visited restaurant on Labor day weekend because of good reviews. And found out that it was true. Friendly and helpful staff, food very good. We sit outside, good lake views, but was a little windy.

So good! I was impressed by the menu before even ordering. It isn't huge but it seems well put together and offers a good range of options. My group had the reuben, the salmon w/sweet potatos and Brussel sprouts, and the whitefish with asparagus. All of it was awesome. I'm excited to go back the next time I'm in St. Ignace. There was also live music when we went in, and the musician was very good. It was loud but not overbearing. If you're not into that, they're very consistent with the hours the artist plays, according to the people that do the farmer's market across the street.

EXCELLENT ALLLLL THE WAY AROUND! BEST Ribeye, Mashed potatoes & Asparagus I've ever had in my life--not joking!! The Bread Pudding was I credible as well. Outdoor setting w live music 🎶 watching the St. Ignace Marina & enjoying the sailboats out on the straights of Mackinac-- excellent experience all the way around.

Stayed in Mackinac city this weekend and could not get good service and good food in the same place to save my life! Came across this little gem in St. Ignace and I’m sooo glad I did! It’s got a great interior (I’m sure outside seating is fantastic in the summer right by the water), good food & drinks, and even their live music was just perfect. I got the sirloin. Everything was great!

Tried this place based on review photos. Hubby wanted to try it out because he saw a photo of a ribeye. We were seated right away as we were there during off season. Looked over the menu, no ribeye in sight. Hubs settled for the sirloin. I got the chicken pesto. Food arrived. Plating is interesting, everything is in one pile in the middle of your plate. If you don't like your food touching, you're in trouble lol. Hubs steak was over cooked, but edible. The food wasn't crazy hot, either. Which we thought was odd for his steak being so over done. We must've arrived at the right time as it quickly got packed to the point of turning people away because they didn't want to wait. I think they may need to work on their wait time estimates as we were almost finished, maybe 10 minutes out, if that, along with another table & these groups were being told at least 20 to 25 minutes. The food was ok, dinner options seem pricey, as they do not come with a soup or salad, but this is a "touristy" area. Would maybe come back to try a sandwich after we give some other places we haven't tried yet a shot first.

We were in town for our one year wedding anniversary and this was our dinner to celebrate. Not often do I give reviews but this place deserves a 5 star review across the board. The prime rib with the home made horseradish sauce was hands down the best I’ve ever had and cooked correctly. The bayside Brussels sprouts were amazing with the glaze. The lobster Mac and cheese was a great serving of the dish, not shorted of lobster meat and the cheese was so amazing. We will be back!

Ella met us at the door with a friendly smile and promptly took us to a table with a great view for lunch today. She then asked what we were drinking. She brought water back unprompted with our drinks. We appreciate that! Asked if we're ready to order, the lobster chowder arrived quickly and man was it delish! I almost had to order another. The oil drizzle on it is PERFECT! We had the Bacon wrapped shrimp..SUPER TASTY massive shrimpies and Bayuo pasta that was as good as I've had at Fishbones in Greektown Det, MI. Oh, and the toasted fresh bread (I think was sourdough) was really good too. We'll be back! Great service, really good food and that lobster chowder.....mmmmmmm! Loved that everything on the menu wasn't fried! Way to go Bouys! See you soon!
