Nightmare
Experience:
We
have
attended
the
annual
truck
show
every
year
for
several
years,
an
experience
our
10
year
old
looks
forward
to
all
year
long.
This
year
we
decided
to
stay
for
the
weekend.
We
booked
the
room
in
march
for
the
weekend
of
sept
15th-17th.
Friday,
Sept
15th
we
headed
up
to
start
our
weekend
of
fun.
We
received
a
call
to
confirm
our
stay
around
5pm,
we
confirmed
and
notified
we
would
be
a
little
late
for
our
check
in.
We
were
charged
the
full
cost
for
our
stay
at
that
time.
Unfortunately,
shortly
after,
our
car
broke
down
just
outside
of
Indian
River.
It
was
late
and
dark,
so
we
ended
up
having
to
book
a
room
in
Indian
River
Friday
night.
The
next
day
we
were
able
to
fix
our
vehicle
and
made
it
to
the
truck
show.
After
our
late
and
rocky
start
to
our
much
anticipated
weekend
we
immediately
went
to
the
truck
show
to
enjoy
the
festivities
with
plans
to
go
to
our
room
before
the
parade.
After
our
fill
elephant
ears
and
trucks
we
headed
to
the
hotel
to
get
our
room
key
and
freshen
up
before
the
truck
parade.
When
we
arrived
to
the
hotel
we
were
informed
our
room
had
been
given
away.
We
explained
the
circumstances
and
that
we
had
confirmed
our
reservations
and
had
already
been
charged
in
full
for
our
2
night
stay.
The
owner
told
us
it
was
too
late
and
that
when
we
did
not
arrive
Friday
he
gave
our
room
away.
This
was
frustrating
considering
the
fact
we
had
confirmed
and
had
been
charged,
but
we
accepted
it
and
asked
for
a
refund
to
book
a
room
somewhere
else.
He
informed
us
he
would
not
be
giving
us
a
refund
even
though
he
had
booked
our
room
we
paid
for
to
someone
else.
That
we
were
"out
of
luck".
I
explained
that
we
paid
for
the
room
in
full
and
confirmed
our
stay
and
that
once
he
charged
us
for
the
room
it
should
have
been
ours
to
use
as
we
wanted
during
that
time
frame
even
if
that
meant
not
using
it
At
all
Friday
due
to
our
car
troubles,
it
was
still
paid
for.
Instead,
the
owner
took
the
opportunity
to
make
more
money
and
double
booked
our
room
leaving
us
out
our
money
and
with
nowhere
to
stay.
I
was
truly
shocked
at
the
owner's
lack
of
understanding
or
apology
for
ruining
a
stay
we
had
booked
6
months
in
advance.
Unbelievably
poor
customer
service.
Since
the
owner
refused
to
refund
our
money
we
had
to
contact
our
bank
to
cancel
the
payment
who
thankfully
has
much
better
customer
service
and
understanding
of
the
hospitality
business
than
this
hotel.
