My husband picked the perfect place to celebrate my 70th birthday. The Sunset Room was perfect! I love lake Michigan and the views from our room were awesome including the thunderstorm one night.. The deck overlooking the lake is amazing. The breakfasts were amazing and the availability of coffee was an added bonus for us. We met many people and sat out on the deck and visited. Many places outside to sit and relax and just take in nature. Daniel and Allison were the best host and hostess so kind and friendly and they added to my birthday surprise with a card and slice of cheese cake. One morning we had the pleasure of visiting with their youngest 😉Thank you so much Daniel and Allison for the wonderful stay. 💜 If you have plans to visit Saint Joseph area we would highly encourage you to check out South Cliff Inn.

My husband and I had an amazing time at the South Cliff Inn B&B. The place is so wonderful and the hosts, Daniel and Allison are truly remarkable. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Allison and Daniel are the kindest, most welcoming hosts. They are extremely accommodating and caring, and always making sure that guests are enjoying every minute of their stay. The breakfast was delicious, the coffee was perfection, and the afternoon wine and snacks were such a lovely touch and so appreciated. The views of the lake are magnificent and the whole Inn is sparkling clean and very beautiful. We will definitely be back (already making plans to return :))! Thank you so much, Daniel and Allison, for your outstanding hospitality!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Wilfredo is so friendly and his breakfasts were fantastic. The view from their lake front is phenomenal, and the beach & St. Joseph Lighthouse & piers are a very short distance by car. If weather permits, the piers are great to walk out on. Hard to beat the sunsets over Lake Michigan. For sure plan on coming back!

This place is great! The fixtures are a little dated but the place is very clean. Daniel the host is amazing and exceptionally responsive and helpful. The landscape @ the lake side is beautiful, the hammock, hot tub and fire pits are a fantastic amenity which we thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast is great, the snacks are on point and they provided wines to accompany in the afternoons. Daniel even helped us bring in our bags which was a nice touch as well. We stayed in the sunset room and watching the sunset @ the room’s patio was fantastic. Definitely worth the money and the location is perfect. About a 15 minute brisk walk to the main St. Joe beach / Silver Beach pizza.

Best vacation stay ever! We selected the South Cliff Inn for the location, and were not disappointed! Amazing place to set and watch the sun set over the lake. Super close to the downtown and the beaches. The room was small, but that is normal for most bed and breakfasts. However, both the bed and the futon were very comfortable. However, after the location, the best part about the stay was the new owners - they were super friendly and made sure every need was taken care of. They were worried that their breakfast wasn't "high class" enough, but the breakfast bake each morning was simple done right - far more enjoyable than much fancier fair. So good that I would order it at a restaurant! This was also the first time our 8 year old daughter had gone to a bed and breakfast with us, and this location was perfect for both adults and children. We can't wait to come back next year!

We just spent the night in "The Study". Large, beautifully decorated, comfortable, cozy room. Loved the comfortable bed, amazing view of lake from private deck with comfortable patio furniture. The fireplace made it extra cozy. Daniel & Allison are so very nice, extremely accommodating, hospitality is stellar. The common areas have a coastal theme, beautifully decorated and awesome view of the lake. I highly recommend visiting them. Close to town, beach and restaurants. The warm, homemade cream cheese danishes were delicious. We will definitely go back.

This place is great for a weekend getaway. I’m sure it is great in the summertime, but if you are looking for a mini vacation and aren’t about to travel south to warmer weather, I highly recommend coming to Saint Joseph’s and visiting this B&B. Great service and stay with plenty to do in and around town. Beautiful Lake Michigan sunsets and no shortage of wineries to visit!

My wife and I took a 3 day mini vacation on the water in St. Joseph, Michigan. We found a Bed & Breakfast called South Cliff Inn. It is located in a nice quiet upscale residential neighborhood. When we arrived, we were greeted by Allison, the owner. She was upbeat, lively and friendly. She gave us a quick tour and showed us our room. I was impressed with the cleanliness of this B&B. It felt like home. The breakfast in the mornings were top rate. Allison cooked everything and served it hot and delicious. Many different coffees, Danish, pancakes, cookies, eggs, breads, etc. You won’t need to go out for breakfast because this can’t be beat. Her husband Daniel came out to greet us as well. Quite an educated individual and a great conversationalist if you prefer a lively discussion. This is their full time job and it shows they care because they want to make it work. In conclusion, I can’t find enough good things to say about our stay but I know you’ll be overwhelmed with their gracious hospitality as well as the breath taking views and sounds.

Great place. The Innkeepers (Allison & Daniel) are a wonderful couple. The homemade breakfast was excellent. The views of Lake Michigan from the back of the property are breathtaking. The view and grounds are even more beautiful in person. Pictures just don't do it justice. Would gladly return for another stay.

Superb! My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay at South Cliff Inn, where Daniel and Alison did everything to make it memorable. They live onsite with their family so they were always available - but not underfoot.😉We stayed in “The Study” room which was well-appointed. Everything you need; including a jacuzzi tub, comfortable bed, fireplace, and a private balcony with spectacular views. Alison’s breakfasts were always delicious. She also provided late afternoon wine with snacks. The spectacular sunsets of Lake Michigan can be enjoyed on the comfortable deck or other seating areas of the lawn. We will definitely return to this relaxing oasis!

If I could give South Cliff Inn a million stars I would. 5/5 does not do it justice! My bridesmaids and I all stayed together. We loved the view of the lake and how laid back it was. We couldn’t have all our cars there because of the parking lot (no big deal, there is a park N ride 8 mins away). To make it easier on us, they helped with transportation to the car lot. They brought us breakfast to our room while we were getting ready. Breakfast was delicious and homemade! They helped with our luggage and made sure that we were taken care of on the most important day of my life. They are the most sweetest people and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay at.

If you're trying to decide between a local hotel and this place.... stay at the South Cliff Inn and you won't be disappointed! Max a 2 minute drive into town or to the beach. Lions Beach is just a mini hike down a wooden and paved walkway. The hosts are personable and truly care about each guests experience. Homemade breakfast is available every morning with lakeside garden views and sunsets that can't be beat. Husband and I stayed with our 8 month old for about a week and it was nice to be able to just relax on the patio and take in the wonderful views or stroll around town or the beach.

Absolutely fantastic stay!!! We decided to take a trip to St. Joseph on a whim. Since there wasn't a branded hotel to earn points anywhere in town, we happened to find a BNB and decided--why not? The rooms look great, it's a short walk to downtown, and we just wanted a getaway, so weren't going to be too upset if it wasn't the best stay. WE WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED at how amazing this BNB was! The hosts are super friendly. The rooms are super clean. The food was amazing. We loved it so much that on day 2 of our trip, we decided we would try to make this a yearly trip--and if wanted, maybe even a couple times a year just to get away and relax. Don't think twice. Stay here! It's sooooo worth it!

We loved the South Cliff Inn. The owners Daniel and Allison were amazing hosts and greeted us with snacks and drinks as soon as we arrived. The room was immaculate and the views were even better. We stayed in the Study Room and it was worth the extra money for the amenities. Definitely stay at the South Cliff Inn on your next visit to St Joseph.

My wife and I just got back from a weekend at South Cliff Inn, a delightful stay. Allison and Daniel made us feel like we were visiting old friends. We stayed upstairs, with a balcony with a view of Lake Michigan, less than a mile from downtown St. Joseph (we walked there last night). Highly recommended!

My husband and I needed a place to stay for a quick, one-night away. This place was absolutely perfect! Extremely cozy, gorgeous view of the lake from our room, the best service, not to mention it’s so close to everything! They had cheese and wine out when we arrived and graciously accommodated our early departure in the morning with delicious breakfast on the go. I would definitely recommend and we hope to return!

My husband and I needed a weekend getaway trip and this was the perfect place from our busy life back in Illinois. We stayed in the admiral suite and were so impressed with the space, the coziness, and hellooo Jacuzzi tub! Allison and Daniel went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. From the perfect breakfast in the morning to happy hours in the afternoon… these two have gone above to make this place great! We will be back, for sure, and will be recommending all our friends to come! Enjoy this little slice of Lake Michigan Heaven!

My family of five just returned from a lovely stay at the South Cliff Inn! We stayed in two rooms, one of which faced the lake. The morning and sunrise views of the lake were beautiful! We enjoyed several sunsets from our private deck or the hot tub. Wilfredo the owner made excellent breakfasts every day. Each day there was a perfect mix of sweet and savory options. Very special attention was given to sanitizing and masking. We felt very safe! One night we had dinner on the deck and Wil surprise us with a beautiful cake for our daughter. He really went above and beyond to make this a great vacation. The garden is beautifully landscaped and you can occasionally see and pet Frank - a giant but incredibly sweet cat. :) Lions beach is walking distance. Silver Beach and a cute downtown are a few minute drive away. Overall loved the charm and location of this B&B and we can't wait to return!

I can’t say enough about this place and the owner Wilfredo. This is hospitality mastered, however, hospitality is not his main product. Wilfredo himself is his main product. The friendship he establishes with his guests makes you feel at home and like you definitely picked the right place. From the scenery, cleanliness and decor of the rooms, to the ambiance of the common areas and the food; everything is perfect about south cliff! 💯

Will and Brandy have created a wonderful experience at the South Cliff Inn. It began with a warm welcome and ended with such a delicious breakfast. In between, we enjoyed the stunning setting overlooking Lake Michigan and our beautiful room. A special treat was Will’s Dominican dinner on the deck. This quick getaway made us feel like we were gone for a week. It was so enjoyable and relaxing. Be sure to visit the South Cliff Inn. You’ll be so happy you did.

Hands down one of the best B&B's I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay here 1 night for my girlfriend's birthday, but we made the most of it. Wilfredo was so welcoming and exhibits first rate hospitality. He arranged and surprised my girlfriend with a dozen roses and even a birthday cake! They've renovated their B&B and it really does have that coastal vibe to it. The views are stunning. We didn't feel like leaving the grounds to explore St. Joseph because of how amazing everything was from the room, deck, fireplace, jacuzzi, everything! We will definitely be back!
